Being that I am Chinese myself and that I have seen everything I need to know about an Americanised Chinese restaurant, an opening of a self-proclaimed "Pan-Asian Restaurant" piques my interest every time and somewhat motivates me to check it out. In the beginning, the mere fact that they even had Japanese udon on the menu and Bangkok Beef on the specialties section of the menu made it a must for me to visit the restaurant. To my surprise, I found out that this Cantonese Chinese-owned establishment replaced the previous tenant that formerly served "Fine" Vietnamese Cuisine (of which I have never had the time or motivation to try there.) My first words for the sort of property is "Good Luck - May the locals treat you better than they did the previous tenant." My friend and I took a while to ponder at the different menu choices that arent offered at other nearby restaurants of similar culinary offerings. Although I originally intended to order a Bangkok Beef, I ended up deciding with the Red Curry with Beef despite my better judgment of having it on an 84°F day. In addition, I ordered a Spring Roll appetiser with a cup of Wonton Soup. My friend, who I had dined with and indicated that he will review this restaurant at a later time, ordered the Spicy Thai Beef. Again, despite the better judgment against the weather, we apparently went Thai together and it didnt bother us as much. The first and second course, apart from the long, fried noodle crackers with duck sauce, were rather of mixed feeling with all things considered. The Spring Rolls, which came in two with an order ($3) were served nice and piping hot. However, the characteristic of a Spring Roll is that the skin wrapper is deep fried to a thin crunch without noticeable floury bite-in texture. While the filling inside was hot, not soggy and tasty, the wrapper called for a bit more strength in the bite. Not bothersome, but just very uncharacteristic in the way it was served. The Wonton Soup had nice, not-so-thick wrapper in a savoury broth. It is evident that the filling, compared to other restaurants, is noticeably reduced to a smaller serving. While the somewhat-crunchy spring onion was with the broth, it would have also gone better if the filling included a few to add to the meaty taste. Continuing onto the main course, I was satisfied with the final serving of the dish but was worried that the portion sizes were very disproportionate. I must also remind that, much like the Chinese food in almost every Americanised-Chinese Takeout Restaurant, most things aside from the rice, pepper, coconut milk, red curry and onion are unauthentic and not true to the Thai culinary standards. When a restaurant asserts and maintains a high standard, the standard must be global and indifferent to the local norm of the culinary tradition. In regards to the disproportionate trait, it simply is that there wasnt enough rice to comfortably enjoy with the large amount of red curry that was served. As much as Id love to drink curry when I have consumed all the rice, it is simply a call for stomach upset when the fluids run down the body like that without rice on the sidelines. Although the above was true, the most important thing was that it wasnt bland, it still has the Thai tastes that someone who has went to Thailand twice would expect and nothing else was wrong with it. In the very end, I shelled out $25 over what most people would say is an overpriced typical Americanised-Chinese fare. I wholeheartedly agree that $25 is quite the high amount for a single diner for a restaurant that is hidden from one of the most travelled highways in New Jersey and doesnt have a full-page menu of things you will not find at other competing restaurants. At most, I can say that there are two small sections of different offerings and its very discretionary if you want to give this a try.

This restaurant is by far "The Very Best"!!! I went to many Chinese restaurants from all over and wanted to take this time to express my experience at this place. Im from NYC kind of spoiled with eating at many great places and always found it challenging to find a Chinese restaurant in NJ that I really love. Maybe I have too much high expectations but when I go to a restaurant I look forward to quality food and friendly service. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the attendant greeted me and my family with warm smiles and it just kept getting better....this place is clean and classy too! Complements to the amazing chefs for their outstanding fresh tasting food I experienced from start to finish!!! Cant wait to return back again!!!

This place is absolutely delicious! It was my moms birthday and she wanted to go out for Chinese. I did some research and saw all the amazing reviews and just had to try it. I came here to say we were NOT disappointed. Every dish we had was delicious and each was better than the next. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well prepared. (Highly recccomend the Duck steamed buns, fried pork dumplings and grand marnier shrimp). In addition to the delicious food, the service was impeccable. Did I mention that its BYOB?! Really helped keep the price down for our large group. If youre in the mood for delicious Chinese food, in a beautiful restaurant with incredible service then this place is for you!

They made us fail like we dining a family, very attentive and checked w my doughter twice to see if she like he soup and checked and got her what she wanted. Now the food... High quality food, five stars all around. We has soup and dumbling appetizer and 4 dishes and every thing was fresh, clean flavor, and great presentation. Will defiantly go there again. Im just not sure what all the excitement is about. Went there last night. The wonton soup was excellent and the lettuce wraps pretty good. Downhill from here - the sauce on the ribs was good, but they were overcooked (some think you can get away I think with very brown chinese ribs, but it kills the flavor of the ribs themselves). The General Tsos was more filler than chicken and the beef/chicken/shrimp dish had good shrimp, but beef and chicken that was barely seasoned. The special fried rice was dry with little taste. VERY, VERY disapointed..
