I usually really hate writing bad reviews, but this place annoyed me. I called and placed an order, my total was 9.10. They told me it was a 10 dollar minimum. I said okay, no problem. Charge my card ten dollars, its no big deal. She responded with "it doesnt work that way". I started laughing really hard because I thought she was joking. She didnt say anything, so I figured out she was actually telling the truth. Why doesnt it work this way? What does it matter? Youre getting your money either way. Because I was 90 CENTS short, I was forced to order something else? Why couldnt you just charge my card the ten dollars LOL. Anyways, decent food most of the time. I just found this extremely annoying because I really didnt want anything else. I ordered a can of Pepsi which will be thrown away because I hate soda.

I ordered take out twice. The first time I called an hour in advance and when I got there they hadnt even made my food yet so I waited half an hour. The second time I called an hour and a half in advance to be sure they got it right this time. They called me an hour later to ask if it was for pick up or delivery even though I told the guy "I will pick it up at 4:45". When I got there they told me the total which sounded wrong and they said "Oh, sorry the guy charged you for the soup even though its included in your meal". Then I get home and the guy gave me onion soup when I ordered matzo ball-- not sure how those two sound alike. Horrible take out service. Not worth going to. Try somewhere else.

i hate it when i have to write a bad review but i gave this place 2 stars today just because they usually good with my order but if it was my first time ordering i would give it a zero if i could. i just order an apple berry salad from them, mind you its what i usually order from them. anyway, 1. Im very sure I asked for my chicken to be well done not burned!! 2. NO pine nuts at all!!! 3. the greens were BLACK, BAD, SAGGY and it tastes so STALE. I mean i know its the first time for them to mess something up for me that bad, but it completely turned me off.

While the portions are large the food is mediorce. They have raised their prices and along with that I expected a better meal experience but instead found the folks that work the desk along with the manager stand-offish and the food remains at best, average. So for me with the rise in prices, for mediorce food despite the larger portions and the attitude of select staff including management doesnt warrant a return. There are better value and eating experience options in close vicinity.

I have ordered here for a long time and the food is always good, that being said 2 nights in a row they completely jacked up my order. Tonight I specifically asked they not screw up my order... I asked for a cheese steak on a hero and it came on pumpernickel. Seriously. Fing cheesesteak on pumpernickel!? Never had it before and its disgusting. 2 nights in a row they jacked my order up. No tolerance for incompetence. Going to bed hungry...... Fail

best diner in all of bergen blvd. never had a bad meal. their chicken is always soft and great tasting. their burgers are unbelievable. they have the firegrilled taste. their fries are always on point even when delivered. the salads are better at the the actual restaurant than delivered because the plastic container doesnt do them justice. definitley best diner im the area, and ive tried them all.

On todays date 01/17/17 my friend and I came to have breakfast (ticket #0043 table 10) server by the name of Jose J. greeted us. Everything was fine until I found a hair in my food, which I showed our server and he simply replied "Ill go show the cook". The owner nor the manager was made aware of this situation, Im simply amazed how quickly this matter was just ignored!

UPDATE: Was so good were back for more! Portions were sufficient, menu is extensive, wifi available. We had the chicken noodle soup to start (excellent), hot roast beef was served over 2 slices of sourdough bread, your choice of gravy, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes got rave reviews from the mashed potato expert (the kid). The roast beet was pretty good

Horrible experience. Went here friday night the waiter reeked of marijuana and was extremely forgetful. The food quality used to be alot better. As my husband and i left into the back parking lot the guy who was serving us was smoking marijuana with another waiter. I could not beleive it. My husband and i will never come back to this establishment.

Too many rude incidents from staff (not the waiters or waitresses) to every go here again. Seems like alot of people I know have the same stories and choose to go elsewhere. I used to order twice a week but havent gone back in months and will never go again. The food is sub par as well and the place is not managed well.

Got charged twice by these people. I called them and they were trying to tell me the first charge was "pending". I call my bank and it already got taken out! Luckily my bank was nice enough to put the funds back into my account right away. Screw this place, never ordering again. Also, Im going to contact the BBB.

Second time here late night and I must say it was amazing just like the first. Edgar, our server, both times, was very humble and pleasant. Excellent service from him and the bussers. I work in the restaurant business and can honestly say the food, the server, and the diner deserve these 5 stars !

Nice location with a decent food selection at breakfast. Unfortunately the waitress wasnt interested in providing a higher level of customer service. Maybe she had a bad day, maybe it was her lack of English skills. I got what I ordered, but her demeanor was a little disheartening.

Ive noticed places trying to capitalize off of the Gotham city name but the service here is slow, the food is average , and the competence in receiving take out orders is almost pain staking, pretty to look at but not worth the decor. Step you game up!!! New York style!

Good Deli spot for breakfast or lunch, hot food right off the grill while you wait...modestly priced and made to order. Buffet avaliable for lunch or order from the menu, your choice. Ask for Sam.. Cash only establishment but there is an ATM inside.

Absolutely Fantastic!! This is my favorite diner. They make an excellent Cajan Benny which is an Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon and Cajan hollidise sauce!! They absolutely know how to make an excellent eggs benedict.

The food is always fresh and delicious. I can also attest to the excellent service I receive when I go here. The fact that the decor makes you feel as if you traveled back into historical NYC is also worth mentioning.
