This place is very basic. Breakfast food is probably a safe bet. You would think a NJ could get a cheeseburger deluxe right. Well this place CANT. The burger itself is some thin tasteless thing, thats not even thick enough to bother having it cooked "medium" - just a grey piece of cheap beef, on an equally cheap bun. Kinda horrible. They gave me the tiniest portion of fries too, and forgot slaw, pickle, ketchup, etc. The atmosphere is non-existent as well. But I actually dont mind that, as long as the foods good. But its very mediocre. Older Greek people manage/own it, and it generally attracts older customers who seem to be there out of loyalty or the driving distance.. Pretty laid back. Ive tried them twice now, at different times of the day, weekend and weekday. Same barely-average food each time. I liked my waitress the last time though, and gave her a good tip. She was friendly and attentive.

Picked up food last night and was very disappointed. The place doesnt have a website or online menu, so I needed to ask the woman who answered the phone if they had any chicken wraps. She seemed annoyed that she needed to list some of the options (who doesnt have a website in 2017!?!?). I got a buffalo chicken wrap and Caesar chicken wrap for a friend and asked for grilled chicken on both. The buffalo came with breaded chicken that looked like it had been sitting out ALL DAY. Both wraps were horrible and falling apart. Even the tortilla tasted old and had a weird texture. Neither of us finished more than half of them. Waste of $20. Fries were ice cold when I picked up the food (I know diner fries dont travel well but these were especially bad). Lady at the counter seemed like she didnt want to be there or interact with anyone. Never going back.

I picked up food last night and was really disappointed with both, the quality of the food and the service. I got a salad and asked to substitute the nuts & cheese with strawberries when placing my order. When I arrived to pick up my food, I was told the strawberries were an extra $2.50 and since the salad was already made, there was nothing I could do and had to pay the additional (ridiculous) charge. There were about 8 strawberries, but some were not ripe. I paid $17 for a salad that was not even big or good. My 2 friends each got sandwiches and only ate half and picked at their fries because none of it was very good. I will never return.

Bad attitude! The waitress we got was less than enthusiastic and impatient with us. When I ordered my drink she didnt want to wait for my bf to pick and almost just walked away to get water- had to stop her to wait a sec for him to decide. When we had a question about the chicken sandwhich section ( if they were grilled or fried) and she replied in a rude way that its written on the menu that they are all grilled- when not all of them were written that way. When I was about to order I turn to my left and she was already gone. We paid for our drinks and left! Her whole attitude and service was just awful. Look elsewhere for better service!

Come here with the family at least weekly. Service is good and the wait staff is great. They always have pages to color and crayons for the kids. The kids menu is good as well. Try the tomato and rice soup. Their fries are great as well. Out of town friends and family agree that the fries are some of the best. Omlers and burgers are good. The salads are large and filling. I love their rubens as well. The prices are good as well, about $45 for a family of five before tips, with free refills on soda, kids drinks, and their coffee. I have been going here since we moved to Montville

I was in town for work and looking for somewhere to eat when I saw this sign for a Diner. Since I didnt feel like anything more than simple food I decided to stop by and could not have been happier to find a real diner. By which I mean that they had the bar at the counter with stools for seating rather than just both and tables, a friendly staff, not too busy, and the excellent mediocre food I would look for in a diner (by mediocre I do not mean bad, just that it is not your 5 star restaurant food, but it is great food for what you would expect from a random diner.)

** Update** Now I have been coming here several times with my family. I must say I get more unimpressed every time. The service is extremely slow......consistently. I am reducing a star from my original 4 star. 1st time here and I must say I was very impressed. I recommend this diner with great quality food and staff. Keep up the great work.

The food is usually fresh and the facilities are clean. Its an above average NJ diner. Most of the bad ones havent survived the last twenty years. Cant speak to any individual dish, but havent had anything terrible either. They also serve alcohol, which can be a plus or a minus depending on the time and crowd that attends.

Me and my girlfriend came here the other day and I absolutely loved it. Our server was Vanessa and she was the biggest sweetheart youll ever meet, she almost brought tears to my eyes with her great attitude and wise words. Food was great and their was even karaoke from one of the workers! It was perfect.

Look, ratings are relative. You want true 5 star dining? Go to a megabucks restaurant in NYC. You want a Jersey diner? Go to Montville. Its at the upper end of diner quality and the lower end of price. I have yet to visit another diner that can fulfill both of those claims consistently.

I ordered a medium rare texas burger. The bun was burnt on the edges and the meat was a frozen patty that arrived almost well done. The service was very friendly but very slow. My wifes gyro was made with the frozen beef only meat. Not impressed by the food, but the place is nice.

Nice diner, very friendly staff. Had the Deli Benny- it was ok, ½ of one of the potato pancakes was rock hard, but the other was ok. They deep fry them (according to wait person). Girlfriend had a scramble & loved it. Id come back to try more!

Good diner food and cheap with a nice waiting staff. My experiences with the food vary, sometimes its very good and other times its okay. Ive never had anything bad and I continue to go and enjoy myself, but my experience is varied.

Great food, reasonable prices for amount of food.....heck a kids meal would have filled me up. Staff was pleasant but not the kind that check on you 100 times during your meal. Thanks we will be back again.

The manager and servers were very polite. My omelet was raw in the inside as I was eating it and I called them. I took it back And made me some great replacement food of my choice with a smile.

Coming from the city, this place is pretty good! Nice staff, good food, fast service and your on your way.... Dnt let the inside creep you out lol(as it did to us) itll warm up to you.
