Let me preface this by saying that weve been going to this location for over 10 years now. Everything OTHER than the manager/owner? is fine (if youve dealt with him, you know who Im talking about), but every time weve had to deal with the owner, weve left upset. Through our many years there, weve always pushed that aside because its close and convenient. But today was the last straw. I never write reviews, but today he deserves one and I hope this makes a difference. I honestly hope he loses business. He doesnt deserve to own a business that deals with families and children if thats how he treats people. I shouldnt have to leave an ice cream shop of all places, in tears. My children (twins) are having a birthday soon. So, to grant their bday request, we went in tonight to make a custom order cake. Weve ordered many cakes from them in the past, and its fun because they get to choose each layer to their liking. Well, we were dealing with a new hire tonight. And as such, she had to keep going to the back to ask her manager (the owner) basic questions. Things like whether or not we can do more than one flavor of ice cream or have their names written in two different colors. Yes and yes, of course. Waiting isnt my favorite thing, but sure. For my kids? Id wait all day. As Im about to pay for this $48 cake, it occurs to me to ask about their return policy. I explain to the girl whos been helping us, that one time a few years back, we ordered a cake with such a strong taste of freezer burn as to be inedible. It was for my own bday, and we had to throw the whole thing out. As such, I asked if such a thing were to ever happen again, and we still have the receipt, can we return the cake and get a refund? I figured the answer would be a no, but I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask (was really wrong about that...). The new hire had to go into the back room again to ask her manager. And (lucky me...) the manager comes out. The second I see him, I know theres going to be trouble. He doesnt ever seem to know how to talk to people without getting them angry and upset. Again, I remind you that Ive seen it many times over the past 10+ years. I just didnt expect the following.... He already seems to be in a bad mood (probably because his new hire kept asking him questions), and tells me huffily that no, they dont do refunds. The cakes are a lot of work to make, and since Ive had problems twice, he wont accept my order.....Wait, what!? I try and clarify. I explain that Ive been coming for years and the freezer burn issue only happened once (which, by the way, we never even tried to return). I explained that this is for my twins 5th bday. He tells me he doesnt want me to get upset, but if Im not happy with the cake, he wont be happy. So no, he wont take my order.... Im livid, upset, and dumbfounded. Who runs their business like that!? Did this really just happen? I got refused service because I asked one, little question!? Who does that!? So in conclusion....sure, this Coldstone is much like the rest. The desserts are tasty, the place is pretty clean, and the workers are pretty nice. BUT this particular location has an owner that seems to despise anyone who doesnt fall in line with his rules. He acts as though its his way or the highway. Hes lost many customers over the years, but because of his frozen treats and great location, he stays in business. Its a shame. Honestly. Hes an angry little man on a power trip....at an ice cream shop...sadness all around. And to try and mess with my kids bday? Thats crossing the line! Do yourself a favor, spare yourself the upset, and make a stand to only support business that treat their customers as what they are: the reason they get to open their doors every day!

Ordered a KIDS sized cone. The girl didnt even seem like she knew they had that size, even though it was on display, and charged us 5.11 for it. Maybe thats the real price (although thats hard to believe since the "like it" sizes were $5 and change) or maybe she charged us wrong but either way it was annoying to pay that much for three bites of ice cream. The price was not displayed anywhere in the store for me verify if it was correct or not.

On top of poor customer service and rude service while I was ordering, there was a giant hair in my yogurt that obviously didnt belong to me or anyone in my party. When I returned the ice cream, the owner pulled it with her fingers in front of me, asked whose hair it was and only gave a refund after I asked for one. 0/10, never visiting again.

Friendly staff and quick service. Loved the outdoor seating options and the energy the staff had in making sure things were going fast and efficient. Location is key too, just after a movie or to even pair with the coffee at Java Love up the street!

They didnt have cookies and cream and they didnt take American Express cards (no noticeable sign forewarning). I was really disappointed. Other ice cream is good though.

Unhelpful in general. Chains should honor coupons of all sorts and accept digital coupons. This is 2017. We shouldnt need to print it out to redeem it.

The ice cream was excellent, the staff was delightful. The music was so loud as to be painful with some songs. We will go back but only for takeout.
