Just left the restaurant and I can honestly say it was a mistake for my family and I to come here. When we entered there was a bridal party ending and maybe 3 other families eating on our side. The restaurant was practically empty. We placed our order and didnt get our food for another 30 minutes or so...my son had a grilled cheese sandwich and my husband and daughter had a cheese burger. I ordered a salmon burger. All orders came with fries and on each of our plates there were maybe a total of 10 fries or less on all of the plates. I questioned our server who then said the owners may have made it a policy to give less to customers. He was shocked himself. My plans were to also have dessert but after the pure and blatant disregard for customers I decided against it. You have certainly lost our business!!!! If I couldve given a negative 5 or worse I would have done that.

came in for lunch with a few friends and will never come back. we were a group of 5 and our waitress would not even acknowledge us until all 5 of us were there. strange because 3 of us sat there for 15 minutes without her seeing if we would like a drink. finally when the rest of my group arrived our waitress came over did not introduce herself and asked us what we wanted.... still no drink order. finally i had to get her attention to ask for something other than water. The food was average but over priced for what it was and my side of fries was so small about 7 fries. When we went to leave she again did not acknowledge us i even said thank you bye and she ignored me as she spoke to her coworker. staff really needs some improvement even in just common courtesy.

Had a late dinner of beef ribs. pThey had a live band that was WAY too loud for my taste…but that was okay. Upon request they reseated me in a quieter section that had been closed off. Food was great and having a BBQ place open that late is rare, even in the south. Definitely keeping this place in mind if I ever swing through again. *Update* Couldnt stay away and had brunch the next morning. There was a HUGE buffet of smoked fish, meats, fruit, general breakfast fair, fancy breakfast fair, and even deserts ranging from cookies and cakes to creme brulee, canoli and ice cream. They also had eggs Benedict and other specialties available from the kitchen at no extra charge. Wish this place was closer to home because it is an awesome place to eat!

I want to love Mason Jar. But the bottom line is its just OK. The restaurant has a nice comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The parking lot is horrendous but hey not a big deal. I have taken family & friends there 8 times over a period of a year and have had a real mixed bag. Recently the food seems to have gotten pretty mediocre - the last two visits have been iffy. Both times the food was dry (brisket & ribs) at 22 bucks the ribs were a huge disapointment. I love BBQ food and the place is conveniant for me but the food just isnt that great. If I want a sandwich or pizza I might go back...but its a shame because I want good BBQ - off to try Hog Heaven in Sloatsburg next
