Okay, so, we were here on their 3rd day open, AND at 8pm on a Friday, AND we were a group of 3 -- so I came into this with certain expectations about the wait and wont dock stars for that. He said it would be an hour, and we waited there the whole time, and it was exactly about an hour before he squeezed the 3 of us at a 2-top table. The food was great though and a welcome addition to this neighborhood. The pork dumplings were interesting - all connected with a thin crust that Im still not sure was on purpose, but it tasted good. Shrimp dumplings were pretty average. Then we got 3 different ramens (pork, pork belly, oxtail, all with tonkatsu brother) which were delicious and really reasonably priced. An extra serving of noodles is $3 if youre super hungry! Also. Its BYOB, and there were people drinking while they waited, which I admire. That seems like a good approach.

Its was my first time there . I ordered the pork tonkatsu ramen and my lady ordered the seafood ramen. We also had the pig ear appetizer. The food was good and the portions were good. My complaint was our server. Besides taking our order, he never came back to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. Other servers brought our food out. We got his attention to order dessert. Then finally called him over for the check. On the way to our table, he stopped to speak to someone quickly but then returned and stood behind the counter as if he totally forgot us. This is when I was really bothered by the service. First time in a long time that I left a mediocre tip but he didnt deserve my usual 20%. Worst part was that there was only one other party of 2 in the restaurant eating so it was very slow.

We were travelling through Jersey City and had a craving for Ramen so tried this place on a whim. They had a great menu of not just Ramen but also some good apps and sides. The marbled pork bun was really good (they give you two). My wife got a brothless ramen, while I got the Kalbi Ramen and my son got the Wild Pepper Spicy Ramen. All three were wonderful, and the serving sizes were generous too. The service was attentive, and the waiter was excited to tell us how they take 15 hours to make the broth, and they fresh make their noodles every day. Then the owner came out and told us the same thing but with a definite touch of pride in his voice. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. There is outdoor seating too (for those who prefer). All in all, a great experience.

Miso Ramen serves a much-needed gap in Jersey Citys dining scene as the an "authentic" ramen-ya. Theres the standard Chashu and Pork options, as well as a Kalbi Ramen and an enticing "Wild Pepper Spicy Ramen", just to name a few, as well as a handful of appetizers and sides to round out the meal. While the broth is well-developed and rich, the one detracting fact is that they dont use the standard ramen noodles, but a smoother noodle that bears more resemblance to the Chinese Shanghai noodle. Nonetheless, prices are reasonable and theres no longer any waits to get inside.

Im so glad to finally have a legit ramen joint in Jersey City. I had the Takana Ramen with tonkotsu broth, so rich and delicious! Bowls are big, I had been eating for a good half hour and it barely looked like I touched it. The pork buns were alright, wish it had some sort of contrasting taste (like crunchy shredded cabbage and/or spicy mayo on it) What really stood out for me though was the service! The host and owner were more than welcoming and even checked on us to make sure we had a good meal. I will definitely be back :)

High quality ramen spot. Definitely more than one $ but its worth it. Been here twice this week. Dumplings were Hugh quality. Spicy sauce was legit spicy. And of course the ramen. Noodles were great, seemed house made. Broth was just great, excellent seasoning, not at all too salty. You will leave here full with a warm belly. What more could you want? Note: Ive only had the vegan options.

Calm and zen surroundings with rustic decors, ramen are made daily at the premise! Soup bases vary from vegan seaweed to chicken base and are all delicious! According to the owner, seafood are brought in everu day for freshness. Just enough appetizers to make you happy. Dumplings, pancakes and varieties of salads. Definitely a great stopping point after biking or shopping all day.

Interesting fresh takes on classic broths like tonkotsu, shoyu, miso. Nothing boring or by the book about this place so will be great both for people who know their ramen well and people just getting acquainted. Importantly, their food is quite consistent, so things taste identical from one day to the next. A basic assumption, but not every establishment achieves this.

The ramen is so, so, good. Best Ive had in Jersey City. I had the vegetarian and the seafood ramen which were amazing, and my meat-eating friends also enjoyed the spicy pepper ramen with beef. Also, the serving size is big, and I love leftovers. The scallion pancakes are also very good if you were looking for appetizers.

I love this place. As I eat Ramen in NJ and NY for so many years, this ramen store is nothing but the best one ever. The food is very delicious as the soup/broth is cooked very properly. Spicy ramen is not really that hot, I will say mild. The environment is good. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

From someone who lived in Japan for several years that Ramen here was delicious simplicity. From fresh cooked ramen noodle to a well flavoured broth and lovely tender Chashu pork. A really enjoyable meal for anyone looking for a warming flavoursome bowl of real ramen.

If youre in the mood for some authentic Japanese strings, Miso Ramen is a great place to go to. The place looked great, the food and soups were awesome, every sip felt like home (even though Im not Japanese, but it just did. lol). Service was just as good!

It was our second time at this place. Food was great. Staff is very friendly. We arrived 10 min before closing and no one gave as an attitude, like servers do in many places. Good experience. Definitely five stars

Good ramen and tasty. Fast service. For me the portion was a bit small, compared to other places, no enough noodles. My wife could not finish hers, she had kalbi, I had pork. So get appetizers.

I had the Oxtail Ramen... it was good. The place when full can seem a bit tight. Overall I had a really good time. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice to have a local Ramen place in JC..
