I Went here last week on new years day. I went with my husband, daughter, and a friend. We got between all of us, Japanese Fried Rice, Pork Ramen with Ribs, Tom Yum Spicy Ramen and Dumplings. Everything was awesome! The Pork Ramen was fantastic. Noodles were great with cabbage mixed right in. The broth was great and the egg was perfectly soft boiled. The japanese fried rice was great as well as the dumplings, although if I had to choose one thing that wasnt as good it would be the dumplings. But the Tom Yum Spicy Chicken Ramen was the best thing out of everything! We ate every bite of everything that we got! Also we got Coconut Bubble Tea and Jasmine Green Tea Bubble Tea. The coconut was really good! But the Jasmine Tea was Great!! Service was great, they were very nice to my 3 year old daughter, and even gave her free Tapioca from the Bubble tea that my daughter loves! Overall the place was great, and at a great price compared to other places in the city! Ill definitely go back here again!

This place was GREAT! the food was delicious and offered a variety of ramen and other food for those in your party who might not want ramen (our friends chose to order chicken teriyaki which they regretted when they tried each of our ramen!). The service was SPECTACTULAR, the waiters were very attentive refilling our drinks and making sure our plates were taken away right away and offering us dessert. I havent tried many other ramen from other places but i thought the ramen here was DELICIOUS!! I had read some iffy reviews so I wasnt sure about this place, but so glad we chose it. I had also visited this chain in beijing when i went over there and loved it there (although service was ehh, maybe because I didnt speak chinese?) But yea, really loved this place, wish i lived closer or they would open one near me (im an hour from the city).

Oh, my, nice find in NYC! The meats are so flavourful, so tender and not nearly as processed as at so many ramen shops. The gyoza are succulent and the skins so gently fried in excellent Japanese style. I personally prefer northern Chinese guo tieh (pot stickers) but for gyoza, these are excellent. We also had the deep-fried tofu - oh, my, just right with the crispy skin and melt-in-your-mouth fresh bean curd. Oh yes, the ramen! Tonkotsu is something I prefer subtle but others at my table yearned for a deeper, richer flavour. I was VERY satisfied. The noodles al dente as they should be - never, never soggy or mushy. Front of house was efficient and friendly. They train them well, obviously. I would definitely come back, again and again!

Really great place! Strongly recommend to buy a Ramen (any you like) - they all are large, tasty and seem to be authentic. Comparing to one in IchiUmi ramen in Ajisen is muuuuuuch better. Price is reasonable, stuff is friendly. Be ready that not everyone is frequent in English (this is still a Japanese restaurant in Chinatown) and you will probably not be able to talk to them about politics etc, but your order will be correct and you will get all you want to. Sake is good, Tuna rolls contain huge pieces of fish inside. The only bad thing I can find - the lack of Japanese music. In general: this is a fabulous, nice and quite restaurant for those who like not glamorous places but high-quality food, relaxing atmosphere and hot sake.

Went here with some friend a year ago, never really had the time to go back. When I did get done free time I took a date here, best choice. Want really busy on this Thursday evening so I got a table right away. The decor if the place really makes the mood, feels almost as if I was transported across the world. Food choices was outstanding from a noodle shop; Ramen, Variety of meat over rice, sushi and muscles. Beers, along with bubble tea, an Asian drink, or water. service was great to didnt even have to ask for a refill just saw and came. My now GF asked why do er spend 50 a visit on more well known places, when spots like this exist. Well recommended.

The food is ok, but the service is the worst Ive experienced in United States! First no one stand at the front, after a waiter waive his hand to let us come in and sit, long time no one come to give us the menu until we stopped a waitress passed by. And no one service us water..... I asked 3 times( the third time I was kind annoyed and that was after all the food was be delivered to us!) and the waitress give us the food wrong at first but she just left sooooooo quick we even couldnt get the chance to tell her that !!! We wait until the next one come then they fixed it. I doubt Ill go there again !

Rrally bad service with no water or any service. I was waiting to see if the owner or the wairer norices that I am the only table with no glass of water. They obviously dont see that and ignores that. My foods were salty from eel and steamed vegetable and they are occupied of doing countercounterwork (theres only 3 tables out of everything) . I do not appreciate this place for the baf services even though food is okay. I hope they dont see a person and ignores like I got. Please be aware if your going alone or first timer because ignoring one person can influence this place so much.

I remember when Ajisen opened up around 2000. It was a cool place to go because japanese food was new and exciting, especially in chinatown. Not to mention, they were serving ramen before the recent ramen craze. This was also the first place that I had tempura ice cream. The food hasnt gotten worse, but its still not the best. Prices are decent. The chinatown arcade used to be right next door, so there was an influx of kids, but i think they closed up a couple years ago. In any case, I will be going back.

$8 vegetarian ramen! Still cant understand other joints charging $12-14 on the same, so Ajisen definitely gets a bump for fair pricing. Broth was super clean and refreshing. Wasnt a huge fan of the noodles, but Im looking forward to trying them again and seeing if it was a one-time thing. Seating was nice and the staff was friendly and available at any moment. Tea was also free, which is a huge plus for me when it seems like every joint is trying to find a way to pinch you.

I did not satisfy my ramen craving here. Good filling lunch special deal- 1 appetizer and 1 entree for $9.50 from the specials menu only. The fried chicken appetizer is passable, just eh. The tender pork rib ramen is recommended over their regular Ajisen ramen. The pork buns were kind of sad looking. This place was my chance to compare real ramen to fast food ramen, and now I know. Credit cards accepted.

味千拉面虽然是连锁店,但是无论选料和汤底都不错,符合性价比。两个人吃30美元基本可以买单。分量十足,里边的气氛给人感觉很舒坦,是唐人街约朋友吃饭的好去处。

This place gave me my first exposure to ramen and I was glad. They have so many different kinds of ramen broths and toppings that sometimes its hard to choose. Their gyoza is always well made as is their kara-age. The staff is very courteous and even remember you and what you order after a while, which is rare in manhattan.
