Went with my family and knew what to expect. Its a no frill restaurant Mostly filled with desi crowd. There were a wide range of dishes, Some of the items were good but some were an absolute disaster. As the name says Indo Chinese, the fried rice and noodles were soaked in oil and was no where close to what it should taste. The biryani was just ok, the butter chicken and the tandoor items were good though. The dessert section was a absolute disaster. The items were strawberry pudding, the fruit pudding and the semolina pudding were not edible. Items like Gaajar halwa or Jamun and Ice cream would have done some justice. So to sum up, the place has a variety of food but no quality. They should rather reduce the number of items and focus more on quality than quantity. Price was ok though, but didnt feel contented at the end of the day. First time visitor: Can visit this place once.

Its hard to get good food specially for our home partys that too ordering all items from one place... I went to this resturant for Lunch Buffet and liked some items.. I planned ordering those items only ..., but I sat with Owner and discussed about modifying those items and incorporated my suggestions and get them to complete satisfaction. He gave me confidence and promised me to get the best... I ended here and ordered complete Party. Believe its hard for me to get pleased ... Food was very good on Party day and clean sweep except few... They listen to you... and get what you want ... They are fighting for complete Customer Satisfaction. Manager is good friendly and whole staff is friendly. I recommend Red Chutney!

Food was ok, service was pathetic for a Saturday , about 3 waiters and the manager / the waiter was helping taking the order like he was doing me some favor , looking everywhere else but @ us. He was not writing a thing we ordered, forgot one drink, later asked for some red chutney forgot to bring it , never made it to our table. I would have expected a better service if the guy who looked like the manager was taking our order, cant expect much from the waiters who seems like they were just trying to catch up. Now the wait for the check... took forever. Food was not good. Ordered fried rice but was more like a pulse ... millions of peas , the Manchuria had coriander, and no sign of green onion !?!

The restaurant is got the ambience that can attract almost everyone, irrespective of the age group. The food is not only mouth watering and professionally prepared with care, the balance of taste and healthy ingredients is a mastery of this restaurant. Being a person who loves spicy food, I found the right restaurant which has the right mix of spice and taste. I have been a regular customer since then, you will easily fall in love with the varied number of cuisines available that can actually leave you in a flicker. The restaurant is with an amazing bar which is very right for every kind of occasion. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY TRY THIS IF YOU ARE LOOK FOR A TASTY AND HEALTHY CARE CRAFTED FOOD.

We live in Rutherford, but make the drive to this place. Be warned, it is spicy, but so good! Standouts: cocktail - Outsourced, I ask for basil instead of cilantro. It is a refreshing antidote to boring drinks comprised of curry leaves, lime juice, simple syrup, basil and jalepeno. Eats: gobi manchurian, lamb korma, butter chicken and laccha paratha. The lamb biryani is very good, too but whoooo its spiceyyyy! But oh so good so keep the dahi or raita nearby. The service is warm and friendly, especially the manager and the bartender and pretty much all the staff. Brought my super picky parents here and they were raving. Thanks guys!

Yesterday I went with to red chutney this was was first visit so manager came and took order and we order couple of things like goat suhka, tandoori platter and couple of items which manager suggested us and all the food came in order like we explained to them all the food has the exact spice level which we required and at the last in sudden surprise waiter brought the dessert plate with couple of deserts and cake and in restaurant they stopped music and started playing birthday song which I like the most . So I think red chutney is really a great experience in my life I am very happy.

Buffet lunch over a weekend. $14.95/per person. If you are a meat-eater, you will love this buffet. If not, you will still enjoy it as there are many vegetarian options. They cover the whole gamut of food emerging from India: theres some "Indian Chinese", some dishes from the South, and from the North. Of everything I tasted here, I liked the Southern dishes the most. We were a party of 6, so they added 18% gratuity to our tab. Not fair. I would give this place four stars if not for this strange practice. After all, we hauled our asses to the buffet to serve ourselves...right?

Went to this place yesterday for dinner along with my friends. As we havent been to this place before and we were carving for good Indian food. I must say this place got a nice ambience and good sitting arrangement. For dinner we started with veg steam momos but they werent that good so refrain yourself ordering it. Moving to main course we had egg biryani and chilly garlic noddles and it was far better compare to our previous encounter with appetizer. Overall I liked the main course from this place, service was ok, prices looks average to me.

Never seen before, such an amazing indian restaurant to hangout with family and friends. Especially credit goes to ambiences and its a spacious restaurant. Coming to staff very friendly and the owner is amazing. Its my mostly visiting place in edison. Bar section is amazing they have all drinks and coming to food part they serve very fresh and delicious indian and chinese food.Biryani here reminds me Hyderabadi paradise biryani. Buffet is worth and should definitely everyone should try it. Foodies dont wait to taste the food here.

That was an awful experience of my life to go there not only to waste money but my whole day. On Mothers Day , they increased their prices to rip people off and the food wasnt even thoroughly cooked and was tasteless. It took more than an hour for the food to come . When we complained about the food , the manager was trying to justify the bad service by showing us the crowd in the restaurant that they are so famous. I felt myself extremely sorry for even complaining about the service as we got disrespected on top of the bad service.

I really like this place the decoration is good because they have a yough verity in lunch buffa. All food was really very good and fresh they have verity o indian and chineses Apptiser they have tandor Apptisert which was wel cook .Alu papadii chart .they serv dosa..on table..which my children loved it .dum biryani was great the tast was like i am eating some where in india.they have many verity in desert .and the staff give good services .they wer very humble .ovrt all it was great exprence ..i recomend this place to every one....

I love Red Chutney Indo-Chinese Restaurant. I have been here multiple times and everyone I bring loves this restaurant. The food is so tasty and delicious. I ordered Chicken 65 and Fish fry for appetizer and it was awesome. We never eat such a tender and juicy chicken cooked to the perfection in any of other restaurants . For lunch we eat Paneer Makhani with butter naan and Mutton Biryani. Mutton Biryani was amazing. I would suggest this place , if you are in the area.
