What is it that separates good pizza from truly GREAT pizza? Thats what makes pizza such an alluring thing, that it cant easily be distilled into a simple recipe for success. This pizza was so good the first time, I could tell from the smell coming from the box, that it was a winner. It was so good, that I didnt post a review right away. I went back again, to dine in, and again, for take out, to see if it was a fluke, or consistent. After careful research (and an expanding waistline), I can report that this place is the best Ive had in the central NJ area. It all begins with the crust. Theres some special je ne sais quois that elevates some pizza crusts above the rest, and this pizza has it. Its bubbly, and crisp, and chewy, and tangy and ... It makes the pie. The sauce is thick, yet not chunky, with a perfect balance of tomato tang, spices, garlic, and oil but not grease. A truly great pizza is one that is so good, that toppings take away from it, and after the first couple of pies, now I just get em plain! Im a little skeptical of five star reviews. To me, thats a special place. If I could be more accurate, Id give this place 4.5 stars - its truly the best Ive had in NJ - not my best ever, but still very high praise. Its unassumingly tucked away in a small strip mall, and doesnt really call attention to itself and more than any other local pizza place in a strip mall. Dont go by appearances ... Go by the taste!

The staff is very rude, especially Vito. He is loud and obnoxious and unfortunately is the primary person taking orders and serving. I asked him about how long my order was going to take as I was waiting a while and he started yelling at me and caused a scene in front of the whole restaurant. He thinks he is Al Pacino or something: Vito: "Are you yelling at me?" Me: "No, Im not yelling, I didnt even raise my voice." Im just standing there getting yelled at by a rude man named Vito! This is not how you treat a paying customer, who was loyal up until today. I was completely mortified. I have been ordering from this restaurant off and on since they opened and the delivery service is terrible; it takes about an hour and usually arrives cold. I live about 10 mins away, so for my last 2 orders, I went into the restaurant to pick up. Both times, I was insulted and treated like an unwanted customer from Vito and staff. The food is not that great and is over-priced...definitely not ordering from there again. They lost a customer today. I should have demanded my money back and walked out but I was so mortified by the treatment I received, I was speechless. They should work on their customer service training or they will end up out of business.

Im a pizza fanatic, having eaten in Rome, Little Italy, and everywhere I can that I hear teh pizza is good. The Mancini guys are fantastic! Its honestly some of the best pizza Ive ever had. The crust is that crunchy, yet chewy, yet light, yet flavorful type crust that even people who try to stay away from bread will still find hard to leave behind. The toppings (my favorite are the broccoli, articokes, spinach, and ricotta + garlic combinations) are top-quality and they even put sheets of foil under the slices when they re-heat them in the oven, O/W the toppings and oil drip - a sign of excellence! They always have two shelves full of pizzas ready to eat and coming out hot constantly, as well as garlic bread knots (which are light enough to eat several and not feel like youre full of bread). Ive been three times and plan to go back many more times!

I have been living in East Brunswick for a long time. About four years I went into Mancinis Pizza and it is hard to describe all the great things I found. The friendliness and charm of the place interested me from the start. Then I had a slice of their Pizza and I was hooked. It seems that these guys come all the way from Brooklyns Dyker Heights each day dragging fresh Brooklyn breads, meat, and cheese and of course Brooklyn water to make the dough that makes the Pizza taste like real Brooklyn Pizza. If you cant find it on the menu they will gladly make it for you. The salads are not only enormous but also incredible as are their Pasta dishes of many varieties. I cant begin to tell you what nice people the Mancini’s are, always a friendly hello and a smile too. Try Mancinis, you wont go anywhere else for to eat real Italian food.

The staff here are so rude and stuck up. Pretty upsetting consider their pizza is good. I ordered two pies and calamari. I called up 5-7 minutes later saying I needed to cancel the calamari. Whoever answered the phone said it was okay. A minute later I get a call from who I presume to be the manager, literally yelling at me that "he just made all this food and what is he going to do with it?!" Really? You made all that in 5 minutes? I told him I still wanted the pies, he continues on with this ridiculous attitude saying something along the lines of "oh now you say that". I picked up my food but I can assure you thats the last time me, my family, and some other people I know go there. Unbelievable.

weve been sampling their menu since they opened a couple months ago and they just keep surprising us with very delicious meals. We started off with the pizza (which was loaded with topping, not greasy.. just perfect) and now been trying their kitchen items. LIterally so mouth-watering.. one bite of their salmon + spinach special and I was almost brought to tears it was so flavorful. Also their whole family runs the restaurant and take their food prep very seriously. They also have very fair prices.. can get a huge delicious meaty pannini for $6 and high-end kitchen dishes for barely more then $10. What a find this place was! Definitely way more than a pizza place!

This place is REAL. I reckon the water used in the dough is imported daily from Brooklyn. The management & staff make the trip from Brooklyn every day. Dont get it twisted--although it is a pizzeria, their dining food is just as monumental as their pizza. Everything is a knock-out: salads, pastas, paninis, wraps, RICE BALLS (if you dont know what they are, you should). The bread--the bread is unbelievably good and ALWAYS fresh out of the oven. They even have Nutella pizzas. Listen, this is the place to be. I have put many of my friends & family up on this place and they all leave impressed.. -Breezy

Very displeasing service. My coworker and I ordered a $30 pie and our job is 0.6 miles away from their restaurant and it has been well over an hour since we ordered, and the pizza still has not arrived. When I called to figure out how much longer it would take for it to get to us, the person on the phone gave me a very smart ass remark about it. We have waited an hour and a half and our pizza is currently not here. If youre looking for a fast and easy pizza place, mancinis definitely is not the place to go.
