On February 8, 2015 my wife and I were going to another local restaurant. I was closed temporarily so we wanted to try something new. We drove by Sugar Puddins, in small print I saw Ribs, so we decided to make a U turn and give it a try. We walked in and waited for someone to let us know if we sat ourselves or what... No one for about five minute. Finally a young lady came and sat us, said she would be right back to get drink order. Ten minutes went by and she came over and said I forgot you guys were there. I kind of laughed. She got our drink order and we waited 5 more minutes before they finally got to us. I do drink a lot of tea and let the young lady know I was going to need an immediate refill. My wife asked a few questions about the menu which looked really good. She asked the young lady about the beans on the menu... The young lady said they arent like normal pork and beans but they were bean. I would have been nice to hear a variety of beans including all the types in the dish. We got our entree very quickly, which was great. It was hot and very tasty. The ribs and chicken wings where heavenly. We also had a small to go order that I gave her when we ordered our meal. Then we sat and waited and waited and waited for the check. My wife finally got up to get boxes to pack our leftovers. Still no check. Finally my wife went up to the register to ask for our total so we could get on our way. You really do need to train your staff on service. I is EXTREMELY lacking. The food was great, but I dont know if I would ever eat in again.

Well, let me start by saying, as a women of color and lover of soul food....The food is horrible! ...I bought chicken and rib combo and my chicken was dried out, the ribs was just horrible, it taste like liquid smoke and was hard/dry.....the sides- beans was good Potatoe salad was ok, the greens had no flavor and lastly the mac n cheese was ok and the food is pricey...I spent $30 on take out just to get home and throw it in trash. I will continue to go to fat Jacks at least its edible/good.. I would never go here again and would not recommend it. The only nice things I will say the restaurant was clean and staff was nice and friendly! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

On Jan. 3rd I ordered ribs, potato salad and beans which came to $26.74. After returning home I started eating, immediately I called back to the restaurant and a young lady answered the phone. I told her that I didnt like my order she told me to throw the food in the trash! I asked for the manager a lady named Rosemary informed me that the owner was on vacation and that she had a large order and she would call me back ! A few days later I called back they assured me that the owner would call back ! Its been a week now response! The ribs were a hunk of fat with a thin layer of meat! The potato salad was Horrible ! This place is thumbs down !!!!!

I came in for the first time and was treated like family,the ladies there really know how to make you feel welcome.my friend and I split a rack of ribs,baked beans and potatoes salad.the owner(I assume)asked if we were sharing and offered to split up the order she even threw in an extra cornbread.we were a little taken back by not smelling any smoke but believe me this is as authentic as it gets.the st.luis ribs were perfect in every way the potato salad and cornbread were also rediculously scrumptious.never tried the beans because I was full by that time.she told us we will be back......she was correct...

This place is great!!! Ive passed it forever on the pike and always meant to go in but never had the chance...until today. The woman who greeted me, Carla, was so so sweet. As soon as I got there she gave me some samples that were delicious!! The tropical iced tea was to die for I only got a small I wish I had gotten a large. Food was awesome, quick and when I tell you this place is clean, it is SUPER CLEAN. Im very particular with cleanliness and you could literally eat off the floor. I was there for probably 10 minutes and she washed her hands twice lol I loved it. Definitely will be going back ASAP!!

Me and my boi was hungry asell so we pulled up to sugarpuddins for some takeout. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a nice woman. She told someone to come get us some samples and we were served some tropical iced tea. That jawn was type tasty. We ordered our food. And while we were waiting we had a friendly conversation with 3 of the people there. Felt right at home yo. Food was straight fire lemme tell you that.

I just got to the car from eating lunch here and I couldnt wait to write my review. The food was fantastic (Thier ribs and baked beans were my favorite!). Also the customer service from the moment we arrived until we walked out the door was phenomenal. Amazing food, amazing service and clean location. If we lived locally we would certainly be here several times a month. Highly recommend!

This place is unbelievable!!! The service was top notch, food came out fast and was perfectly hot. My wife and I split ribs, chicken, and 4 sides. The ribs were to die for, meat fell right off the bone and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. They have some of the best baked beans, green and mac and cheese Ive ever had. I recommend to this place to everyone. Great Job!

Looking for great BBQ, then look no further. The service was great! St. Louis ribs were perfect and outta this world. Great homemade corn bread, delicious green beans, and save room for that Banana Pudding! Super friendly...we came at the end of the day and the food was still on point! We will def. be back again soon. Did I mention the Banana Pudding was amazing!!!

Best local BBQ hands down. Staff is all VERY nice and welcoming. Very home-y feeling inside, welcoming. I have noticed the quality of the good depreciating as time goes by, but I am sure this is due to the poor local market for BBQ. This place would flourish somewhere else... sad bu true. At any rate, get in here before they go away!

I went with two friends from north jersey who wanted barbecue. I never been but live close so we went to sugarpuddins. We got an order of everything. It was absolutely delicious. The pork was great. The service was really excellent. My friends couldnt stop raving about the food and how much they want to go back.

Friendly staff!! Felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. Helped walk me through all the items I needed. Now for the food... Fantastic, awesome, flavorful, and filling. We got the st louis ribs, catfish, brisket, baked beans, mac n cheese, and collared greens. A definate ust try. Will be back soon!

Super friendly waitress, manager and owner. Sample plate of sides was super smart and all great (didnt try cole slaw). The St.Louis ribs were just fantastic and the banana pudding was amazing. Glad we finally made it in and will be back soon.
