A let down from the start! My Girlfriend and I intentionally didnt eat anything all day so that at the end of the night we could chow down on a rack of beef ribs, mac and cheese and tacos. When we sat down, we were awkwardly greeted by a host who walked away from us and then came back to tell us we were not allowed to sit in the back because "it was closed". By the end of our meal, there were people sitting in the back dining. We caught the draft from the front door the entire meal. When we finally settled in and were ready to order, our waitress told us the restaurant had run out of beef ribs and that we were not able to mix and match the tacos. She took my mac and cheese order, did not take our drink order and then said she would come back to check on us. She didnt, we had to flag down another waiter. In addition to the jerk mac and cheese, we ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, 1/2 lb of pork ribs and two beers. Beware! They do not carry Budweiser or AB inbev. The food came and we were so disappointed! Our half pound of ribs came with two pieces and our brisket was lukewarm. Our waitress said the temperature of the meat was prepared according to Texas BBQ style, notably not in size of portion. -bummer! Once warmed, the meat and the Mac N cheese where good, but neither me nor my Girlfriend will be returning.

After waiting to sample what we have been told would be a good extravaganza our party of 6 were very disappointed by both the service, food selection and the quality of food. On arrival we were told that a table would be around 20 minutes, after 10 minutes were were told this would now be 25 minutes making a total of 35 minutes. Having made the decision to wait we ordered a round of drinks having been assured that we could transfer the tab to the table, turns out that was the first issue as the lady behind the bar, albeit very pleasant could not transfer the tab to the table. Once seated we were told what wasnt available, in all honesty the server should have just told us what was available as all but 4 of the main dishes were available, we made our choices and waited for it to arrive. And waited And waited ............. Sadly when the food arrived it was at best poor quality, cold and swimming in its own grease. Needless to say we were disappointed so ate what we could as quickly as possible and left. Sadly on the occasion we visited it siding live up to the reviews, maybe it was a one off but the issues felt as though they may be more rooted than just the one night..........

The food here is terrific - which makes the fact that the service is so bad that much more disappointing. I live in the neighborhood, and weve visited three times - twice for dinner and once for brunch. Every time the service has been slow, inattentive and just generally amateur. This evenings visit was the worst. We sat for 15 minutes before having to track down the hostess (fairly clueless herself) to inquire as to the whereabouts of our waitress. When our waitress did show up to clear the adjoining table, we had to announce ourselves. She mentioned that she had had to clock out for 10 minutes between working a double, and without apology, proceeded to finish bussing the table without even offering to take a drink order before she took off again. It was another 5 minutes before she returned, and we felt like we were imposing by placing an order. Sadly this is typical of our experience here. Again, the food is excellent. Get take out, or stick to the bar. The wait staff will have you regretting your visit.

We got there, waitress came 5 min after. We ordered drinks and water and knew what we wanted to eat so we ordered appetizers and our food as well. After the waitress took our orders we waited 20 minutes just for water. We asked one of the other waitress why it was taking so long. He said "mam as you can see we are busy". I look around and noticed just a few people. This was monday july 3rd around 2 pm. (It was not busy). After 30 min of waiting we finally got WATER. Then my friend asked the "manager" for our food. He looked annoyed. At last 40 minutes later we got our food. My food was delicious, my drink was extremely watery. My friend loved the barbecue wings and hated her mac and cheese, she said it was salty. Overall never going back. If you want good service i would also stay dont waste your energy/time.

This business is less than a month old, so obviously theyre still working out a few kinks. The cue is Austin-style, and its flavorful and moist -- not overdone like some other joints in the area. I recommend the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, hell, even the chicken and turkey are great. Sides are tasty too, especially the green bean casserole. The restaurant is rustic but modern, and has a single TV above the bar, which is perfect. I dig the country music vibe, which is appropriate, but would it be possible to throw in more old school tunes, and ones by women? Theres only so much of the contemporary country music by men I can endure. :P J/K, Ill be back again, and again.

As a Texan, now living in NYC, it is hard to come by good BBQ in this city, and I was very fortunate to stumble upon Morgans. I had 1/2 lb fatty Brisket (youre missing out if you get lean!), & Mac & Cheese. I am giving it a 4 out of 5 stars because of the following. - Rub on the brisket was very good. - Brisket was moist and tender. - Mac & Cheese was totally on point. AND HOME MADE! - They had Shiner Bock. - Wait staff was fun, helpful, and knew what she was talking about. - Disposable pates they served on were awkward to eat sliced brisket. Would be much better if they used parchment paper. - Brisket could have been served warmer. Happy eating, Yall!

Was looking to try some new BBQ with my family. My husband got the ribs which ended up being just 2 boney pieces of meat (He just had come back from Tenn. and was in shock at the portion of the food for the amount of money we paid. The cornbread looked a lil weird and had a glob of butter. Mac and cheese was toooo cheesy couldnt even finish it. Had the brisket sandwich which was soooo dry. The 2 step iced tea which just tasted lip Lipton tea with sugar and burbon. And the chips with queso...way too much cheese for very little chips...even though it was small....they need to serve less cheese. Felt like a soup! Will not be going back.

Let me start by saying that there is no way that this place could ever get lower than 3 stars! With that being said, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! Brisket fatty > lean but both great, Mac & cheese good but the cheese burger Mac was phenomenal!!! Wings were great with or without sauce but the buffalo sauce was definitely a treat within itself... Now, moving to the pork selection, the ribs were fall off the bone BBQ heaven!! But I saved the best for last... CANDIED BACON IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! If there is one thing you get from here the bacon should be it! This spot will definitely become one of my regular spots.
