We visited recently for dinner. our party of 5 was seated and given menus. After a wait we placed our orders and they came out in about 15 minutes. We had the sauteed pork cubes with seafood 14.00, others in our group had the combo (half-chicken and half-ribs) for 13.00. Service was fair, we didnt want for anything. the menu was small and basic, a few Portugese items, and a few American ones. Mostly meat, but not as much seafood as Id like. prices were standard compared to what else ive looked at. The restaurant itself isnt that large, there are many tables and booths squeezed together, theres a bar, with about 6 seats and a small deck with tables outside. A desert case rounded out the restaurant. There wasnt anything special about the decorations, there was a map of portugal and a few other things. The portugese bbq places have become more and more common in the last few years. We decided to go here instead of driving up to the Ironbound. The food was so incredible, we had leftovers for the next 2 days. Id suggest plate sharing if you go here.

Ive been ordering take out from this place since the beginning about 10 years ago; size and price were good back then but as the time goes, the chicken are smaller, as well as the the ribs. They used to sell Sangria for take out, their sangria is awesome. The only reason I continue ordering food from this place is the rice, is better than many places around this area, is not as good as the Algarve Restaurants rice in Elizabeth. it doesnt necessarily mean that food in Algarve is better than Clark B.B.Q.

I order to go from this place regularly. The people are nice and the food is great to boot. Best Value in the area by a mile. PS..the Sangria is YUM! The place is always booming busy so call in your order ahead of time or you could be waiting a while. Ive never eaten in house, the dining room is very small with very few tables, i recommend taking it to go. When I order ahead, my order is usually ready for pick up within 20 minutes.

I love this place!! I usually order the chicken and fries to go. I love there chicken and there fries are out of this world. I really dont feel the prices are too high either. The order i get feeds about 3 people and its only $22 I sat inside and ate there once and it is a little small inside but still a good place to eat. Everyone I have spoken to there is so nice.

Horrible my nice recommend she told me great flood and the attention was great that was not my experience I went with my husband we order 2 Tbone S. Well done after we wait for so long the waitress came with one Order when I ask for the my order. She went back to make the second order and we had to wait 30 more minutes minutes. I will Never again try this place.

Called for take out @ 11:15 today sunday. Was told no chicken or ribs until later this afternoon because of a big take out order. So to me that means no chicken or ribs for eating in restaurant either. This would have been first time there. Well wont give them a second thought again .all I wanted was a 1/2 chicken dinner. Some way to run a business.

AWFUL! went on a Sat night. They were busy, I phoned in a order to go, came and picked it up and what I got was the worst. I ordered a platter it came with Bland tastless rice, dry as a bone chicken, cold soggy fries, and tough as shoe leather ribs. How could all of them be that bad. If you think this is decent bbq or Portuguese style, you need help.

It was one of my favorite local BBQ places but lately the Portuguese" BBQ is no longer Portuguese. Maybe they lost their chef? It tastes like regular BBQ with only salt as flavoring. The rice is regular white rice, not yellow rice anymore. Its also expensive now! $17.62 for a rib/chicken combo is way to expensive. They lost my business.

It was a fine day till I got invited to Clark BBQ Swines !!! Thats pigs in German !!!Not only they rip you off its the portions !!! They re-use other peoples plates !!! Found an eaten clean chicken bone under my side order of fries !!! Really disgusting !!! 4& 1/2 stars my ass !!!!

Great place! My family loves BBQ / Portuguese food this place is small but it has a family feel to it when you walk. Great price, great food & great drinks! I just wish they deliver. I would order with them a lot more.

Great steaks and delicious chicken and its all grilled. The food is always fresh and hot and good. You cant beat their prices for the good quality of food you get. You should try this place. You will Love it too!!

Ive had better. Small portions and over priced. Chicken is very dry. But the ribs are ok, but lack portion size for the price. I only get the rice. Every thing else is average our substandard!!

Its similar to Burnette bbq. Just dont order take out... they dont give enough for a family tray... but when you eat on... they give more when you sit in
