The most undesirable Brisket I have ever been served. It was cut on a slicing machine in thin strips twice the length that would lay on the bun, so it was piled on the bun. Almost no detectable bark and very little smoke flavor. I had to use both hands when taking a bite, so the entire pile would not slide out of the bun. When I tried to take a bite from a single slice, it would not separate like tender brisket should. It was very chewy, even though it was correctly cut against the grain. My experience tells me this meat was taken off of the smoker before it was ready. The owner asked me how it was and if there was enough bark, because I questioned how it would be sliced when I ordered. I said there was not much bark and asked what temp he pulls them off the smoker. His reply was that he does not give out his "Secrets". As if anyone who smokes doesnt know that a brisket needs to be at least 185 to slice, and closer to 200 to chop. I would be shocked if he would have entered the same meat to a competition judge that he served me today. I know that most BBQ guys are emotional and proud of their products, but this place needs some constructive criticism to help them achieve a better brisket. It just seems that whatever he is doing is "good enough" to keep him in business. I would have gladly recommended him to others if it were better. I have three smokers and make most of my own BBQ now, but would drive to buy some if it were worth the drive. It takes two days to make your own brisket, and its a real shame that people do just enough to sell some just because there are not many options in the area.Maybe I just happened to be there on a bad brisket day, but I will not return to find out. I get the impression that he thinks his "World Renowned BBQ" is already perfect. The fries were good.

I was looking for some BBQ in the area, because I really do not like Big Eds BBQ. That place is a poor excuse for BBQ. I found this place and went on a drive. When I got there, I wasnt greeted by any one. I walked up to the counter and there was a lady sitting down and took my order. She didnt even stand up. Come one man... at least put some effort into your customer service. There was also; what seemed to be, the owner(?) sitting down a little ways away in the seating area. He was at a foldable table with a laptop and hit feet up. This is not professional at all. He didnt even say hello. As an owner(?) I expect more than you just looking at me. I ordered the lunch special and substituted the fries for their homemade mac and cheese as well as a side of dirty rice. I sat down and took a look around. I was the only one there. The place was clean and there are things to look at on the walls. The food came out fairly quick and the portion was more than I expected. It was more than I could eat in one sitting. My order came out and I was pleased that they served the BBQ sauce on the side. This is a big deal for me because I want to taste the smokiness of the meat and if I want some BBQ sauce later, I can add it when I please. I am sad to say, the meat was just OK. It was smoked good enough, but it was lacking flavor and tenderness. It was not savory at all, but did fall off the bone. The mac and cheese tasted like any homemade mac and cheese Ive ever ate and the dirty rice was alright. It had a little spice to it. All-in-all. Its not bad, but Ive had better.

My son and I went here recently to try out their barbecued ribs. These had to be among the very worst ribs I have ever had anywhere. We really should have sent them back. They were under cooked and very tough. We were hungry and tried to eat them but left most of them there. Simply unedible. Im sure they must have had better, well cooked ribs there. I asked one of the staff if this was the normal way they cooked their ribs, and he said yes. (Hard to believe). The coleslaw was just so so, and any ambiance was out to lunch, read. absent. But we didnt go there for the ambiance, just the food and that was a major disapointment. SKIP THIS PLACE!

upon entering the restaurant the smell was unpleasant. Once being seated at a table that was filthy, it took 15 minutes to get menus. after getting our menus it then took another 15 minutes for the waitress to comeback to take our order. When we ordered drinks they were soda cans (no big deal) however our straws came from subway....... after about an hour and watching other customers come and go we decided to leave left money for our drinks and went to another restaurant. I suggest Big Eds Bbq its only about 10 minutes away it is more expensive but the food is amazing and you will get to eat the food you order within a timely manner.

A-1 Costumer service. We got the $48 delux that supposed to feed 5 or 6 but could actually feed 8 or more. The food is awesome and the only place around that serves collard greens. I cant believe I have drove by this place a million times and never stopped. With the delux u can pick 4 different types of meat , un-heard of, u have to stop.... The meat falls off the bone...

I went to Big Harlies and it was amazing! I had the wings with French fries and they were super good. The French fries were awesome. I also had the collar greens and they were full of flavor. I give Big Harlies BBQ a 5 star rating. The food was full of flavor. I give a 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a completely different experience! The food was really delicious. Served piping hot and quickly. We tried a little bit of everything just about. Baked beans coleslaw and dirty rice with sausage as sides. We will definitely be regulars.

Went there to pick up dinner. Mac and cheese was tasteless and not cheesy. Ribs and chicken were dry. Candied yams were decent compared to the rest of the meal. Shocked that i had an unpleasant experience at Harlies since it is usually great.

The prices are amazing, especially at lunch. My $8 rib lunch appeared to be a full rack, and it was great. I also had the yams, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and some of the chicken. Everything was excellent.
