I was going to give this place a 3 stars until I went to another buffet place, which I will call "Yellow-metal Ranch". Compared to the sodium festival I experienced there, Ruby buffet is a bargain, with plenty of variety. The food here is actually pretty darn good. My wife and I went to eat here, and joked that we could probably live inside the restaurant for quiet some time without becoming bored of the food. Staff are friendly enough, and although you may have to wait for some dishes while it comes out from the back, there are like over a hundred items on their menu. Their sushi bar offers fresh selection of Will definitely be going back with the rest of the family. For the money, no other place beats Ruby buffet. EDIT: OK changed it from 5 stars to 4, because of the sushi bar experience. Went back with family, and there were a limited pieces of tuna and salmon sushi. The 4 of us grabbed 2-3 pieces each, and went back, but the sushi chef had not replaced the pieces. Between all of us, we constantly checked and went back, but it was never replaced. I had tipped the chef first time around so he would be motivated to make more, but to no avail. We were there around 2 p.m. for lunch, so there were not that many tables. From where we were sitting, we could see that everyone who went up to sushi bar were getting rolls, not sushi (nigiri). When we went a month ago, the same thing happened, and I was not paying attention, and the place was busy, so I figured that maybe the chef had made more nigiri but other diners had taken it very quickly. I will give this place one more chance, and if the same thing happens, then the rating will come down even further. If it doesnt, then the rating will go up.

I was skeptical after seeing some of the reviews but my wife and I were in the area and decided to try Ruby Buffett for the first time. Overall I would reccomend, it costs about $20 for two of us (theres a 10% coupon on their website) during lunch - great Chinese food selection, a lot of sushi (I love sushi) but small selection of American style foods. The restaurant is modern, clean and very welcoming. The only reason I give it 3 stars is a few things; the 20% surcharge of wasted food, the lack of refills on drinks and certain stations (sushi for example) only had one tong for multiple items. I am not sure if they actually charge a fee but there are signs on the "sneeze gaurds" of the islands indicating a 20% wasted food fee will be applied if food is wasted and that what you put on your plate is what you plan to eat ... I thought it was a joke at first but then I noticed more than one sign. We werent going to test it out, there was a few things we didnt like all that much so we out them in our pocket (Just kidding) - anything we were unsure of we just took a small amount in case it wasnt as expected. Our server was quick taking our plates but didnt seem like he wanted to take anything that needed to be brought back to the table, our drinks for example, I usually drink a lot (3-4 glasses of water) but becuase of his phobia I only managed to have 1 1/2. Overall I would suggest Ruby Buffet, especially if you like sushi! I think we might give it another try if were in the area around lunch time ... $20 for 2 Adults, Id say its worth it. *** Dont forget to check their website for the 10% coupon ***

This is a regular buffet for me but I came in today 9/27/15 with my family a party of 15 mostly kids. We start by our server got our drink order wrong 3 time till she got it right ok thats one. Second wile we are eating the table next to us has all the staff eating I understand they need a luch or a break but I have worked in food industry for the past 5 years and in every restaurant they have procedures for the staff to take a meal break. They where liking their fingers and felt discussed it due to Im not sure if they washed the hands. OK now my family is getting items that are only for dinner ok we know that more money we had 4 to 6 servers come and keep telling us thats more expensive at a point a server almost took the plate out of my uncles table wile explaining it was more expensive . The food here is amazing its tasty its delicious and affordable but the service today was a absolute outrage the only reason I gave 2 starts was because of the food.

I called and asked about the BRUNCH prices. The woman told me it was $5.99 per adult and the kids prices would be the same as dinner since they are cheaper already which for my childrens ages it would have still been 5.99 per child as well....get the check and it was $40.00? I go up to ask and she called me a liar right to my face and said she didnt tell me adults were 5.99 even though I called while I was in the parking lot! Awful shes so rude and inconsiderate! I had a coupon for 20% off brunch and it should have taken off $7.00 and some odd change. Instead she came up with $4.00 off lol I will never go to his place again! They do not replenish the seafood stand the service is absolutely unforgiving! I have no problem spending $40 on my family for lunch! However, when I call to ask for prices and you tell me one thing but then do another is aggravates me and I have no use for stupidity!

This will be the last time we come here. Theyre very busy but this place is disgustingly filthy. Theres dropped food on the floor over by the 2 buffets that I had to ask someone to clean up before someone fell. The ladies room is a biohazard with dirty paper towels busting out of the trash can onto the floor and one of the stalls, someone peed all over the toilet and floor. In front of the sundae machine theres melted ice cream all over the floor with jimmies and peanuts. Again, I had to ask someone to clean it up. This place is a lawsuit waiting to hapen. Tammy Y. NASTY! NASTY! NASTY! ATTITUDE OF THE GREETER AT THE COUNTER" SHE HAS A MOLE ON THE CORNER OF HER TOP LIP". WIFE AND I WENT THERE TO EAT ON 20TH YR. ANNIVERSARY OUT OF CONVENIENCE AND MULTIPLE CHOICE OF FOOD. THEY EVEN HAD THE ORDACITY TO GIVE IS FOAM WHITE COOLER CUPS TO DRINK OUT OF, SMFH! TOLD HER SHE SHOULD BE A LITTLE MORE POLITE TO CUSTOMERS THAT CHOOSE TO COME THERE FOR SUCH A DAY. SHE LOOKED AT ME AS IF I HAD 3 HEADS. WE DECIDED TO LEAVE AND NOT PAY TO BE TREATED AS SUCH. THE ONE IN PHILADELPHIA ON DELAWARE AVE. IS 10X BETTER IN EVERY ASPECT, BELIEVE ME!

Who ever the receptionist is needs to learn manners. I called and asked if they had crab legs because thats what my cousin likes, she said "I SAID WE NO HAVE, WE ONLY A HAVE A DINNER". We proceeded to go anyways, there is literally not a big selection of food at all. Theres not even Mac and cheese or mashed potatoes. Some of the food is okay I guess most of it was pretty gross. And it smelled like body odor in there and I wanted to throw up. Highly not recommended unless youre trying to eat nasty food and get rude service.
