I was very excited for Sentosa. My vegetarian friends highly recommended the menu, as it was promised to be diverse, delicious, and authentic. I began with Hot&Sour soup, and it was the best I had ever tried. Very fresh vegetables, delicious broth. The scallion pancake with sweet hoisin sauce was a real delight. Everybody enjoyed. The peppercorn potato appetizer is highly peppered crinkly wedge potatoes. Basic, but yummy. I shared a chicken & shrimp Pad Thai, and the noodles used were strangely similar to Italian Angel Hair. It was very different than normal Pad Thai. Much lighter, easier to eat without being overwhelmed with flavor- but thats kind of what Im seeking in Pad Thai- an overwhelming amount of flavor... Everything was really just okay. The service was virtually non-existent, as my girlfriend had to get up for straws, forks and napkins before the woman at the counter took the hint that we were dining in. The place is primarily a take-out joint from the look and feel of things, but if you do stop in for a bite, be sure to order what you want at the counter, then sit down and wait for it. That seems to be the way service works at Sentosa.

Ive been frequenting Sentosas for at LEAST 13 years now. I really enjoy the fact that its not only vegan/vegetarian but it also offers "real food" as well so ANYONE can go there and enjoy themselves. Once you have a taste you will literally be left craving it until next time. I highly recommend my "usuals" which consist of the scallion pancakes [NO WHERE compares to theirs!], sunshine ribs, and the sweet and sour vegetarian chicken or the vegetarian General Tsos. Also, it is a small "hole in the wall" kinda place so theres literally 4 regular booths and a larger table in the middle so I suggest calling ahead if you have a party larger than 4. The family is wonderful, the place is cozy, and they play an interesting array of music if its on. Def. worth checking out at least once! Always a pleasant experience whether youre the only one there or if its a full house. You can also order take out! Enjoy! ^_^

I have been going to Sentosa since I was about 14 years old, Im not 23 graduated from school, moved to north NJ, and back to Brick. Sentosa is by far one of the BEST restaurants for their style of food. Not to mention when I was vegetarian, I was able to eat there, as well as its a good spot (along with Kayas Kitchen in Belmar) to bring your Veggie/Vegan friends. I highly recommend Sentosa to everyone I know, and if you miss out on great food with great service, youre an idiot. Your loss if you dont take the time to stop and eat here. Forget every other review, these can not be real. The WORST food ever, not one of the many dishes we ordered we even edible. Chicken Lo Mein smelled like...fish? Holy salt! The dumplings were the strangest shade of brown Ive ever seen. General Tsos chicken didnt resemble anything Ive ever tasted, not sweet, not spicy, not....anything. How can you screw up fried rice??? Youve been warned. We threw out everything.

Used to be my favorite place to eat but last time ordered the moo gu gai pan and it was disgusting. Also got house special fried rice for bf which he said was good until he got to the end and bit into a bunch of egg shells. Other than that experience it has always been good. I love their fried tofu.. sweet potato fries and scallion pancakes

My wife and I had take out: Low Main, Moo Good Gipan, and Chicken Fried Rice. All were quart serving and delicious. Thefood was very favorable and hit. Between our call and pickup was 10-13 minutes. Prices were very reasonable. It was well worth it.

I loved this place for the vegetarian cuisine and went there quite frequently until I found a live maggot in my food. When I returned to show the owners they just insisted it wasnt there fault. Id recommend staying away from this one.

Oh my god...my jaw is dropping from the 5 star reviews. These cant possibly be real users. This is the absolutely worst tasting food I have ever eaten, vegan ot not. I couldnt eat it. Not to mention, the place is so dirty.

My all time favorite vegetarian Chinese food! They make THEE best homemade crunchy noodles with duck sauce! Also their sunshine ribs are a must try! I have traveled around and cannot find better then Sentosa!!!

Good value and decent food. Some days its awesome, sometimes its just good. Would love to know if thats something to do with who is on duty in the kitchen so I would know to ask before being seated!
