After working in upstate New Hampshire for the day, I was craving one thing and one thing only, CAZONE! I didnt want to stop at the first place I came across but Instead looked on google reviews to see what the locals were saying about pizza shops in the area and stumbled across La Festa Brick and Brew Pizzeria in Dover New Hampshire. Soon as I walked in I knew this was going to be a good experience as their place was packed with people of all ages all seemingly very excited for what they were about to eat. There are two different lines one just for pizza slices and the other for pretty much everything else which keeps the lines moving fairly quickly. The menu is quite large and their options for calzones sounded excellent especially the white buffalo calzone which consisted of Spicy buffalo chicken, buffalo sauce & mozzarella, and bleu cheese dressing on the side. I couldnt wait to try this month watering calzones in Fort Wayne thats where the four stars and not five come into play. I realize it was a Friday night however I was in line waiting for my food for approximately 30 minutes while seemingly everyone else number was called before mine, I even asked the woman who I ordered from about 20 minutes prior how much longer it would be and she stated that it would be coming right out, not so much. When I finally received a calzone I was psyched and brought it in my car as I would be eating it on the road as I had a 3+ hour drive ahead of me, I opened up the box and the calzone which looked very good was not cut into pieces whatsoever which I thought was very strange, so I had to cut it with a plastic knife I had in my car while driving, not ideal and for $9.50 was surprised about this omission. I would definitely go back for the atmosphere as well as the great tasting food however just be aware that wait times are quite excessive and if youre in a hurry you may want to call ahead or just grab a beer at the beer counter while you wait and talk to the locals as they are very friendly, one of them actually recommended the calzone to me, which I appreciated. Come for the tasty pizza and calzones, grab a beer, enjoy the scene and music, and dont get caught in the wrong ordering line else youll be banished to the back of the other line, "no pizza for you, you come back, 1 year"

I hate to write bad reviews. I will be the one person that will go out of their way just to make sure a good review gets heard & if I do not have something good to say I keep it to myself. This is an exception. I have been going to LaFesta for over a year now. Their pizza is different than others & this is the only reason I keep going back. A lot of things in the past few months have changed & not for the good. I feel that someone needs to speak up so that these things can be fixed. If they do not know that there is a problem they do not know they have anything to fix. Where do I start. The disappointment for me started with the fact that three times in a row I ordered knots with sauce, (I always get take out) & received no sauce. I called in & was told that it was my word against theirs & they could not do anything about...I paid for these, so check your order before you leave. Now since then I have been careful to look for the sauces which are always less than what I have paid for & I have to bring it to their attention. Next: Coincidentally the last three times I ordered pizza I received no call & arrived to be told that the pizza was burned. The first two times I waited for another to be made...UGH! I dont know about you bet I usually order take out because I am running late & dont have time to cook, if they had called me I could have been doing something else with my time rather than standing in their restaurant waiting for a second pizza to be made. The last time I arrived I absolutely could not wait for another to be cooked, again had I been called I could have made it work. I was offered a discount but really BURNT pizza! It was till $20.00 for a burnt meal & I had no choice. I arrived home to hear....ITS BURNT! I said I know....long story. I am disgusted. I dont mind paying a premium for GOOD food but really why cant they cook my pizza without burning it? Accidents do happen but I think I may be done. :(

This is a must go when in Dover if you enjoy Pizza. I have lived in NH for 25 years and traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe being an USAF servicemember. I am not saying this is the best pizza I have ever had or that it is phenomenal. It is priced right, relatively quick (depends on lunch and dinner times and weekends), friendly and has been around for quite some time. Why? First, I am a bang for buck family guy. Feeding a family of 4 under $20 for lunch or dinner is a win. Or if you get done working out, playing sports or want to get outta the cold in the winter a get some hot food and a drink. Second, their staff is polite, helpful and genuinely happy. The guys that throw the pizza have always seemed happy and will spin that pie dough extra high for the kids if you ask. Pizza by the slice is readily available and they usually have 6-10 options at any time. Slices are Large! One is perfect to fill and two should stuff you enough to roll outta the door...Try Garlic Knot, Buff Chic, and the Bacon and Cucumber). The Garlic and Cinnamon knots are also good if you wolf down your slice of pie and need a little something extra. Lastly, I am a craft beer enthusiast and place usually has a good selection of draft beers enhanced by decent selection of bottled beer. Take into account this is NH so we are limited to which beers we can have available. For the local area, this is the place to go with kids at lunch, sports teams, or friends. Please let me know if this helps or how to improve this review.

I usually love La Festa. Every single time that I am in the New Hampshire area, one of my first priorities is to eat at this restaurant. They usually have amazing service and food, however, what prompted me to give this rating is my latest experience. We ordered pizza ahead of time, by phone, and when we got there I had discovered they had made me the wrong pizza. I had ordered a Buffalo Brick, and i ended up with a White Buffalo pizza. They were somewhat nice about it and offered to redo it, which i accepted. So we waited about 10 minutes for the new pizza and it finally came out. When we got home with the pizzas we discovered that 1. The dough of my grandmothers and my pizza were soggy 2. They had made my Buffalo Brick pizza a white pizza 3. My pizza was under cooked and 4. They had failed to put any buffalo sauce on my pizza. After this experience I was very disappointed as I only travel up to NH once a year and my last meal in the state was a disaster. I do highly recommend their restaurant as a place to eat, however I do recommend that you either order by the slice, eat in the restaurant, or thoroughly check your order (including taking a bite out of it) before you leave.
