My wife and I first went to La Bellas Two weeks ago. It is a little out of the way for us, we live over the border in Maine. But we are always looking for good Italian restaurants. We both come from the Boston area where these are more easily found. We were very impressed by both the wonderful food and very friendly congenial atmosphere. We came back again two weeks later. Our dinners rival anything from the North End. Last night I had a dish called Uncle Vinnys Veal Masala and I can tell you I have never had a better Veal Masala. My wife had the Shrimp Scampi which was outrageous. Even the first soup course of Escarole and Bean was the best we ever had. The place is located in a modest Shopping Center, but the food exceeds expectations. Its BYOB which can save on the cost of wine with dinner. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Any person who appreciates good food would appreciate this restaurant.

I have been dining at La Bella for several months now and following their progress with renovations. I love the food and it is now more enjoyable with the new decor. The ugly murals are thankfully gone and replaced by beautiful decorations that remind me of a Southern Italian home. I spent a month in Italy and I love Duerta ceramics which are eye candy when dining now. I also really like the paintings. We are going there for New Years eve because I am hankering for the Seafood Pesce dish which is loaded with big chucks of fresh lobster and sweet scallops in a red sauce. I am wondering if the bad reviews are from the restaurants competition because this place has wonderful food and service.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was outstanding but the food had NO flavor. The garlic bread that you receive before dinner had no taste. The salad was small and just average. My Alfredo sauce tasted very strange and I actually threw away the leftovers - it just didnt taste very good. It was expensive and not worth the $50 that dinner cost us. They also charged for refills on sodas! Ridiculous! We wont be returning or recommending this place to friends. Sorry.

We ate here for the first time with our three kids (ages 8, 7 and 4). We were seated right away and our waiter came over immediately to introduce himself and take our drink order. The girls orange soda was diluted unfortunately, but the waiter personally went back to the machine to fix it and bring them out new ones. The pizza was delicious, the salad authentic and my pasta dish was yummy! Overall, we liked the unique idea of BYOB and the atmosphere was very nice. Will go again!

La Bella is not authentic italian and is not inspired. From the poorly painted mural that surrounds the room to the strange salad dressing that sits on every table this place has to be the worst. I have never not eaten garlic bread before. I also had to send back the chicken pesto because it was oily, loaded with pinenuts, and had chicken with too many veins and things that crunched in my mouth when i ate it. Please do not go here.

La Bella has delicious Italian and Mediterranean favorites! The marinara sauce is amazing. Pasta fagioli the best I've had anywhere. The owners and staff treat you like family. All dinners come with soup or salad and unlimited garlic bread (dip it in the marinara!) prices range from about $9-$22. Definitely a hidden gem! Bring your favorite wine!

We ate here last night and were not disappointed! The food and service were excellent. Also, BYOB allows you to spend more on the menu than over priced alcohol. The carrot cake was perfect as was our entire meal. Its quiet, relaxed and informal. No rushing through dinner, our meals were made to order. So, we got exactly what we wanted~yum!!

Delicious Diablo sauce on my ravioli fiesta. Garlic bread was hot and rich. Service needs practice but overall ok. Salad had iceberg which lowered this rating to a 3star. I will be back!

The food was authentic in my opinion and it was nice not having to pay extra for drinks. Dad and I brought in a 6 pack of beer and the calamari was perfect!

I got a pizza from them and it tasted awful. It tasted like burnt coal. I will never order food from then again.
