I live in Sun City, so very close to NY Chinese....I have been eating here, since they opened., maybe once or twice a month, and every time, never a problem...NEVER. . The food is great, if anything to complain about, it`s that they give you too much.food...I have been to other Chinese establishments, who charge twice as much, and the food is not worth the extra expense.. I dont get some of the bad reviews on here...Are these people talking about the same restaurant?.. I dont know about the delivery problems, some of you had, cause I never had delivery, but some of these bad reviews are crazy.. Bad tasting food?, dirty place?, smells?, Ha,, Not even close to the truth...bad service?..Sorry, never saw any of that... but I do believe that reviews should not be still on here, if they are over a year old.. I have seen reviews on here, good & bad from over 7 years ago.... Places change, so if someone is reading a review, from many years ago, they are not getting the true picture of this place. My review is from YESTERDAY...(6/6/17) . I had the General Tso chicken....great, pork fried rice,,great.. my father had the Moo Goo Gai Pan, ,great again... and he simply loves the egg drop soup. And BTW, we are both from New York.....

Guess what everyone who works here is actually from China. Okay so the food is awesome the little old lady who owns is a smoke show and never understand my english But she actually came from New York so they said New York Chinese they mean it . ..My Chinese made octa-core phone came from Amazon in the cuneiform Chinese language I brought it to them they fix my phone !! They sell awesome American style Chinese food and they can give you a little help with the Chinese language. The vegetables and never overcooked if you asking for different sauces they got everything from a hot oil or little sweet and sour ,spicy mustard any Chinese sauce you want they got a side. Oh and about the health violations Ive been eating there for a year and a half maybe once a week never got sick. I cant say that from my favorite sushi or Mexican joint. :-)

Im not sure if excellent (5*) is really its number, its probably between 4and 5 stars. I do agree that the service could be better but when one looks at the prices, Ill take the slower service instead of higher prices. The spareribs are about as close as you can get to the old NY style, except for the size of the rib, the wontons are as good as I remember, the egg rolls although not as large as those served back in the city are close in size and closer in flavor to anything Ive had in LV. As for me, my favorite has always been shrimp in lobster sauce, theirs is the NY white lobster sauce with the peas and egg in it as well as including an extra item, a little crab meat (fake) thinly sliced to give it a touch more flavor. I live in the NW part of the city and make the trip there often.. its well worth it. Enjoy

5:50pm 5/8/16 The last time Ill ever come here! The guy I spoke to on the phone was rude. Even though it was there mistake. Customer service goes along way this place is definitely lacking customer service skills. An order that could have been easily fixed but the guy acted like it was my fault. The noodles were stale, no soy sauce, more onions then meat. Im not sure if ownership, managers, and employees are all new but this evening service sucked. Ive been here multiple times before but this will be the last.

I thought this was good food at a reasonable price. On the other hand my wife ordered mostly deep fried food and was very disappointed. She did like the Hot & Sour soup she got, though. I enjoyed the Won Ton soup. We both thought the fried rice was good. The atmosphere is what you would expect at a mostly take-out restaurant. The staff was friendly. It was cheap.

I tried NYCR a few weeks back. It was pretty solid, but didnt really stand out from your usual Asian Takeout. One thing I did like was the portion size and prices on their dinner special, but service was slow and Ive heard nightmare stories about waiting for your food from them. Ill go back, but only because its close to my apartment, not because I love the place.

I am vegan. The server was very attentive and he told me that all the dishes I wanted had oyster sauce so he made a custom brown sauce Buddhist delight for me because I dont like the white sauce. The food was amazing and the service was amazing. I am super picky with Chinese restaurants too so Im not just saying this. Give it a try!

Coming from Long Island Im very cautious when a place says "NY" Anything. But, it reminds me of home, same flavors, portions and style of cooking. If youre looking for NY STYLE Chinese food, you wont be disappointed. The egg rolls, fried rice and shrimp and lobster sauce are worth the drive alone.

On Dirty Dining Jan/ Feb 2015, wont and cant eat there ever again. Health Dept. gave 50+ demerits on a return health codes check. Closed down for a few days too. See Dirty Dining report shared on Darcy Spears news segment on Las Vegas news. We used to eat there but never again.

I had to go all the way here just to get Chinese food the way that they make it back home. The food was good and reasonably priced with the taste being almost an exact match. The staff were friendly and my food was prepared quickly.

Service was very good but I wasnt impressed with the food. I ordered the combination shrimp lobster sauce and it was very, very salty...it was like eating plain salt!!! Chicken wings was okay and so was the crab rangoons!

This place advertises "New York style" and is in no way even close to it. I give it 2 stars because even though I liked the food, they screwed up my order and gave me something different. Take notes!
