I Gave this establishment the opportunity to address my concern via e mail which i will post below, to date " 10 days later still no response". Thus world here is the truth about the Rice Cafe in Eagle. s a vegetarian and entrepreneur who has owned several restaurant as a hobby I truly appreciate the food that your establishment serves and make it a point to introduce my friends and clients to your business. However I am somewhat dissatisfied and concerned with the service I have received during my last 2 visits to your establishment. It frustrates me that after spending $89.00 and $74.00 respectively during my last 2 visits that I have had to leave your establishment feeling unwelcome and insulted. During one visit we ordered beverages with our meal and the server brought out the wrong ones, when we advised her of this she gave an inapropreat attitude and reluctantly took the beverages back to correct the problem. While she was gone I was praying over the meal with my family just like we always do before we eat however our blessing was interrupted when the server slammed our drinks down on the table walking away so fast that she as out of site before we could open our eyes, only returning to give us the check. Only because i enjoy your vegetarian entrees did i return, this time I was closing a 1.5 million dollar distribution deal with a client and his wife. We had reviewed our order and were ready to place it with the server after waiting for over 20 minutes a server approached the table and asked if we were done with our menus. I began to gather the menus to assist the server in preparation of taking our order when the server snatched the sushi menu out of my hand giving me a paper cut, the server immediately turned his back to me and walked 2 tables over and placed the sushi menu with a different table that was already seated ad disappeared for another 15 minutes before returning to take our order. In consideration of this im giving you an opportunity to address the matter if you so chose to and earn my business again. Depending on how your management addresses this your business will either retain me as a loyal customer or in the unfortunate matter that i still feel insulted and dissatisfied i will have no choice but to leave reviews online sharing my unpleasant experience.

We went to the dinner buffet on Mothers Day. It was absolutely the worst meal we have ever had. Our reservation was for 4PM, an hour after dinner service was to start. We were asked for a payment when we were seated. The food on the buffet,4 items, looked and tasted left over, not to mention it was COLD. The salad was wilted and the dressing had a scum on it. Dressing was not on ice . It was almost another hour until more food was put out. We had to ask for eating utensils, napkins, and water. When we complained about the cold food we were asked which. That was all that was done. The worst was the dried blood on the floor under the carving station that was not manned. The final blow was when the bar man carried large, smelly garbage can through the dining room past our table. I recommend that you run not walk away from this establishment (I cannot call it a restaurant ) for the sake of your health. The staff is poorly trained. There was no such thing as service. One star rating is one star too many.

Modern "fusion" interpretations on traditional Chinese and Thai food. We ordered Pad See Ew, Kung Pao Shrimp and General Chicken. The Shrimp and Pad See Ew were barely warm and the Chicken interpretation was ... well just weird. Not even my kids liked it and it just got tossed out at home. One positive: They did offer to buy us a free dessert to compensate for the cold food, but overall we left with a bad taste in our mouth. No pun intended. This place is quite expensive (about $15 per dish) and for this amount of money and the poor quality and strange "fusion" interpretations we felt the value was bad.

Started with drinks. Cocktails were made by someone who obviously doesnt drink as a sip from the urinal may have been an improvement. The appetizers were fantastic and quickly devoured by my husband who was all to anxious to rid himself of his sazeracs lingering flavor. This menu is vast, so vast its completely understandable why nothing tastes authentic. Ive had better Thai from the frozen food section. The sushi tasted like it was covered in sugar to cover up the questionable fish. Another positive, our server was great from start to finish.

Just have to be honest. Went in on a Monday night, (sat at the bar, not busy at all). Ordered two draft beers, the "Dumpling" appetizers and dinner entre of the "Kung Pal shrimp". Awful, awful, awful. The shrimp was mixed with boxed frozen peas and carrots and served at room temperature. The dumplings, same room temp and surely out of a box. When we made the server aware of our observation he said "oh no, I can guarantee we cut everything up fresh Dailey

If you love below average asian food, this is the place for you. Frozen vegetables, stale rice, rubbery chicken thigh meat. It is so below average my wife and I had to go back a second time because we couldnt believe it was so below average yet so popular. Was below below average the second time. Biggest con in Boises restaurant industry. If you want great asian food in Boise, Siam Orchid is the place to go.

Going to be honest here, the food was quite good. Good flavor. However, I was extremely dissapointed upon recieveing my dinner portion. We ordered takeout, and when we opened our boxes... It was very sad to see how small the serving size were. We ordered the full dinner size... And they were very small. And when you pay for a good amount of food.... Thats what u expect. And i would not reccomend.

Calm and inviting atmosphere. Not many choices on the menu and some are pretty expensive. Appetizers are a little pricey but were very good. I had the General Chicken and it was very well made. Chicken was tender and perfectly cooked and so was the rice. However, it had a little too much sauce. The portion size was well balanced. I would recommend going here to anyone.

We love just about everything Rice has to offer: delicious Thai food (ironically my husbands favorite dish is the Beef Bulgolgi they serve), gluten free options, live music, two for one Thursdays and the owner makes you feel appreciated and just like family. If you havent been to Eagle to dine, youll want to put Rice on your regular go-to restaurant list. Its a must!

The negative remarks are surprising. I come to this place alot and every time it is exceptional. I would recommend you go there and try the salmon I normally dont do salmon, but in the dinner brunch this Sunday for mothers day I had some and it was just amazing flavorful and it wasnt dry, it was awesome. Best sushi Ive had Ive tried IOU Sushi and it does not compare
