Not recommended. I had ordered take-out or dined in at this place , since I was a child. Service has varied, sure, but 7/28/17 was INSANE. I have the app: Call Recorder, auto record calls with my number. I called to order the family meal,#5, for 3, well, I tried. Ill give the transcript of the phone call and then the following attempt to speak to any employee in Golden Palace. "Golden Palace" Me:"can I make an order.....(the girl on the phone talked to someone else)...for pickup"...(she speaks again to someone else)...."what would you like?"...(Im starting to feel irritated) Me:"A number 5(as she speaks to someone else again)..for thre" she cuts me off "How Many People" Me:"For three" "Alright, is that all you want ?" Me: "Yes please." "Your name and phone number." Me: give "first name and phone number." long pause "Alright, its going to be around 15 minutes for you, is that all you want?" Employee talks to someone else Me: "yes" "do you want all white meat?" Me: "that sounds good" "(in a nasty tone) Yeah? Alright. Sgonna be like 15 minutes..."(Im waiting for a total, some kind of confirmation) Call ends, employee hung up. I went to the restaurant, intending to speak to a manager and let them hear the call. I asked the employee at the register for a manager. Employee told another employee to get her. 3 other employees understood there might be some good drama and started hanging around the register. After 3+ minutes of wait, an angry, non english speaking woman came out and asked what I wanted. I told her I felt her employee was rude and wanted to see if they would address it. I played the recorded call and was not able to get to 30 seconds (this was a 1:07 length call) before the manager asked what I wanted. I attempted to tell her that I was interrupted and hung up on. Manager told me something something, lines crossed. I tried to explain myself again and was interrupted, asking if I wanted half off, or new food, or what? I said "no thank you, thanks ladies" and left. I intend to call the restaurant during the week and see if there is a manager that can understand me and will let me speak. Update if this place cares to speak to me at all.

Im just going to copy and paste my Facebook review. Absolutely appalled. This place used to be my grandmothers favorite Chinese food restaurant when she was alive. Tonight, my mother and I brought out of state relatives here over Hong Kong, HUGE mistake! The last few visits over the years have been the same, dont know why I thought this time would be different. Never again. Im humiliated I brought them there. We were not greeted with open arms when we arrived with our group. They sent us to the over flow area, ok no problem, except noone refilled our drinks or even checked on us until it was time to leave. We received our food way fast...says alot. Our food was old and not hot at all. We finally talked to our waitress about it all when she brought our check, I dont blame her at all for the food she was embarrassed and admitted it happens all the time about the chicken. We paid extra for all white meat. Our chicken was tough like jerky. Tasted disgusting like old oil. The egg rolls were NOT edible. Over $70 between our 2 checks, the manager refused to speak with us. The waitress litterally said she refused to come out and speak with us! Noone ate thier food! The food was on the table, full plates and we all were super hungry. She ended up agreeing to taking just the chicken off my bill, (INSANITY!) but only my bill, not my cousins $45+ bill because he had paid and went out to his car already. RIDICULOUS. Everything, just ludicrous!! Paid for nothing. Paid for crap food/service AGAIN. How in the hell is this place still operating??! Im livid. We will never eat here again, this was their last chance with us. STOP GIVING THESE PPL YOUR MONEY!

First off we parked right in front by the door and there was a very sloppy looking women standing by the door smoking. She followed us in and took us to a table and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We both said maybe after we look at the menu because we didnt want someone that just smoked and didnt wash her hands getting us anything. The menus were dirty and the highchair they brought over for my daughter had food in it. The service was fair and the food was just okay. After we ate I went to the ladies room and it was disgusting and didnt have any saop in it. Finely after paying we walk out the door and the waitress we had was smoking too. I mean come on, you cant tell me there isnt a different place to smoke thats not right in front of the restaurants front door. And to top it off, both my husband and I got sick before we even made it home. All and all, we will definitely not go back and wouldnt even recommend it to someone I didnt like.

I moved to the area recently, I am a HUGH pork fried rice fan so I always try and find a good place to go.... The first time I had their Chinese it was take out and good... the next time we went in and the place smelled bad.. I dont even know how to describe it other than old.. the food was GROSS. I ordered sweet and sour pork, it wasnt cooked bad but the sauce they brought me was solidified brown gelatin... sick.. also the rice was a huge let down. I wont be going back to this place...

Phoned in an order. We got something not even close to what is normal for lo mein or general tsaos chicken. General Tsaos was all veggies. Almost no chicken. Lo mein was a ton of mushrooms. Just weird. We actually took the food back thinking it wasnt ours. The lady looked at it, made up some stuff and said no it was right. Im still convinced we got the wrong order. White general Tsaos? What? Dont waste your money here. Food = in the trash.

Food is ok. Wasnt told about the $1.25 up charge for the meat and it was no where to be found on the menu. This caused my check to be around 5 dollars more then expected. When inquired about the price they refused to take of the charges because they would be "yelled at". The waitress explained that she forgot to tell me about the charges and that most of the "regulars" already know about it. Good food. Terrible service. Wont be back

The atmosphere was nice, but the food was absolutely terrible! We ordered the chicken chow mein for my kids, which is usually noodles, but it was blended celery with a sketchy looking meat substance on top and it tasted like baby food. My beef dish was just awful and none of the food had any seasoning. Avoid at all costs, do yourself a favor and drive to Homedale and eat at the Golden Ocean.

Poor quality food,over cooked fried shrimp was like hard rubber!!! Some of the mandarin chicken was under cooked,and then some of it like it was pulled out of the trash and recooked! There return policy totally sucks,if you eat a couple bites,they will not replace!!! I personally will never go back again!!! Not highly recommended!!!
