I live at the apartments next to this deli. The atmosphere when you walk in is nothing like the real manhattan. They dont speak to you or recommend anything. They just stair at you like you are a bother. Every time I walk by they have no customers. Please have employees that actually want to work. When I walked in today the chick looked pissed off lol. Like I walked in on the good part of her Netflix original tv series. The food is good. But really how long does it take to make one sandwich? Also this store closes at 3pm. What kind of business survives with those kind of hours. I have more to say but my sandwich is almost ready. Im actually in the store right now while writing this review. Oh while Im at it, the chairs and table look horrible. Im the only customer here and they are still making my sandwich 20 mins later..... Update-- they forgot about my order. But the manager or owner apologized and gave me a gift card. Ill add an extra star. They still wasted my day !

2 stars means I hate spending money when I could have done better. Its not often I choose to go downtown to eat. I felt like a deli and I wanted atmosphere. Boy did the stars on this page lie. The bread...soft. Good compliment done. The rest of the sandwich was bland, boring and regrettably paid for. Its walk up to the cashier and order...help yourself to chips and drink so yeah, I could have got this and flavor from other delis. Paper plates always make me feel unwelcome. Even those little plastic baskets with paper thrown in is better than styro. The atmosphere is compact and compartmentalized. Though I liked the ability to hear myself think let alone conversations with friends it was overwhelmed by the feeling of eating in someones bank office circa 1940s. Long winded...oh well. Im still looking for that Golden Panini and the chains arent doing it for me. I miss NYC and Ill pay double for a sandwich like that. Did I mention it came with pickle....

Id like to give 4.9 stars. I dont give 5s because there is always room for improvement, but I was very pleased with Manhattans. Took my girlfriend there for lunch after browsing UrbanSpoon for downtown restaurants...went in knowing nothing about it and glad I did. I had the Rockefeller (roast beef, cream cheese, cucumber, tomato on marble). It was great. All I did was sprinkle a little salt on it. My girlfriend had a salad with chicken salad on top with a side of Parmesan Tomato Basil soup. She usually doesnt like tomatoes soup, but she loved Manhattans. The only disappointing thing was the Hot Potato Spicy Bloody Mary-flavored potato chips by the Beer Chips company. They werent spicy at all and barely tasted like anything. They should replace them with regular Beer Chips because those things are amazing. My girlfriend and I like to try different places on her lunch, but I think we found a regular spot.

Id been to Manhattans a few times since working in DT Omaha and it was just OK. A little dirty but the food was good. A few months ago, a new owner, Jess, has taken over the joint and has been making changes ever sense. The food has gotten better, portions are great, soups are to die for, and the employees are a blast! Recently I have been heading over there for lunch a few times a week and havent found a sandwich I dont like. Usually I get the special as it comes with a sandwich with a twist and a nice cup of their amazing soups. They also serve great coffee and morning snacks and I hear will be brewing up lattes and cappuccinos in the near future! Head over there or have them deliver/cater for a group at your office! You wont be disappointed!

Amazing food, great prices, and super friendly staff! Had lunch today with my mother and it reminded her so much of home up in New York. 10/10 will definitely come back tomorrow haha! The French dip is amazing!

Nice soup, great sandwich (lots of variety), friendly staff. Nice, peculiar place hidden behind a somewhat sleazy door. Interior actually rather classic and nice.

Nothing special. Food was ok. Marble rye bread was good but Subway has a better selection and bigger servings next door

Our corporate office provided lunches for all of us, 75-80. The food was fresh and tasted good both days.
