Upon entry, I found the dining area to be clean, well decorated, well lit and open with ample floor and seating space. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience offset the first impression. My girlfriend and I arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, but it wasnt busy in the slightest. Our waiter was polite, but was not at all attentive. The coffee was barely warm and our plastic cups were empty at least as often as they were not. I ordered the Loop Fling with both bacon and sausage, she ordered the Sunrise. She said that other than the eggs being well over done, the food was okay. The chorizo gravy was so laden with flour it would be more accurately described as paste, not gravy. Hungry and on a schedule, I decided not to be deterred and continued on. As the third bite went straight into a napkin I learned that a rotten potato can have the same texture as talcum powder. So I ended up just eating the bacon and sausage link. On a positive note: their choices in bacon and sausage brands are good ones, and they were able to sufficiently apply heat until ready for consumption. I would have shared this story with my waiter instead of posting it here, but he never bothered to ask if I liked it or if Id like a box when dropping off the check. Hopefully, my experience was unique, but I doubt Ill be giving it another shot anytime soon.

Paid for food on April 3rd, 2016 at 1:28 a.m. The food wasnt bad at all. It was the service. It took forever for my server to get to me, even though everything was slow in the restaurant. The employees were constantly talking to each other like its break time indefinitely complaining about their billion dollar boss and how they hate the minimum wage. I didnt care because my stomach was growling and it wasnt being serviced. It took forever for me to get my food. Almost an hour. It took me over a half an hour just to get a receipt so I can pay. Then it took about 40 minutes before I finally gave up and walked up to the server and urge the server to take my pay so I can leave. The service was terrible and no one wants to do anything even though theres nothing to do. I will never be going back there again. I just dont have the patience to die of old age waiting for someone to collect my payment or bring me my food. I definitely left no tip and I always tip well. When I got home, I was sick to my stomach and vomited. I think the food was bad.

I have given this diner three chances, so I think I am in a position to write a fair review. All three of my visits were for breakfast and took place during traditional breakfast hours. Let me be frank; this place sucks. The service is beyond bad and the cook is over-the-top incompetent. Example: you order coffee and it arrives cold, you politely ask for hot coffee and they bring you another cold cup from the same thermos filled with cold coffee. If you order over easy eggs they bring you over hard and burnt. When my server brought the bill they neglected to ask how my meal was so I felt obligated to tell her. Her response was "Ok". The other visits were just additional examples of crazy wait times, messed up orders, and terrible food. I am curious as to why the management or ownership would allow this to happen? Its clear from other reviews that this is the norm rather than the exception. Perhaps, there is some tax advantage to running a failing restaurant? They should take a previous reviewers advice and fire everyone and start over.

This place is immediately enticing. The business idea calls for respect and a deeper look. Upon further exploration, Ive derived a multitude of concusions. The goal Joe Edwards envisioned is purely visual, credits to the mayor of the loop on that. Every element below that is lacking severely. The business is sporadic and unpredictable. Therefore when its time to give good service theyre highly unprepared. Negative energy is contagious. It feeds from unhappy customers, to frustrated employees. Shortly followed by inadequate management reviews. Great people have came and left. There needs to be an overhaul to restructure the hospitality, and focus on holding onto those who could truly improve your profit margins by creating return customers. Animosity, disrespect, and toxicity bleed out of this place and great people have left because of it. They are the essence of your success. Treasure them. People come spend money for interaction. Improve yours.

I wouldnt even give it one star. The food is awful and the restrooms are extremely nasty! They claim to be a green restaurant. When asked what makes them a green business and what green cleaners do they clean with the reply was "only bleach". Smh Silly people bleach is a chemical. So not to green when it comes to the cleaning of the restaurant. The paper on the wall seems to be the only reason they are a green business. The food was awful! What the hell are they thinking? Chorizo in the gravy and then put on a biscuit!?! It was gross! Some may like it but myself personally I did not. Chorizo and the Peacock Dinner should not be a combo. The bathroom is so nasty I skipped it and waited till I got home. This was after a night of drinking! The Service was half ass and kinda slow. In short I will never eat at the Peacock Dinner again! Save your money!

There should be a negative star for the experience I just had at the Peacock diner. Im actually a repeat customer but usually I get food to go. This time I decided to go in and have a drink at the bar. The diner stops serving alcohol at 130am it was 122am when I sat down. The bartender ignored me until 127am, I told her that I wanted to order drinks and she walked away from me as if I wasnt ordering. She proceeded to come back and tell me I had two minuets to order i then tried to order a tequila shot. The bartender proceeded to tell me that she would not be able to pour a shot in two minuets and that she had other things to do. Her flippent attitude was beyond disrespectful. I will be sending an email to the general manager Monday morning. If you want a rude and an unpleasant dining experience you will definitely get it at the Peacock dinner.

Wow, where do I start. Thursday night around 11p a small group of 4 of us went in. After about 20 minutes of several waiters/waitresses glancing at us we finally received menus. Our drink order was very basic, 1 coffee, and 3 waters. It took another 15 to receive that... We were not asked for our food order for another 10 minutes after that! So far 45 minutes of waiting and we finally order. When the food came out, the very first thing placed on our table, we had not ordered. Lol.. Its okay we will get through this. Most of us received our food except it was not eatable. My eggs were still clear egg whites over most of the egg, my bacon was also under cooked, and my English muftin was slightly warm but not toasted at all. That was just my food. No on elses was any better. We decided not to stay and eat and just left... Defeated.
