This is generally one of my favorite go-to places, but its still establishing itself in its odd location. The environment is laid back in the day and pretty classy at night. Bright in the day and low lights in the evening with seating conducive for easy conversation, and sound doesnt carry too much. Their bar is well-stocked with a small, but variant selection on tap with some kind of tacky photos of the friends the owner uses for the artwork in the place posted right as you walk in. Theyre trying to build up a nice bar crowd, but it still feels very much like a family restaurant, in part because of the misleading name. The food is amazing. If you have simpler taste, your selections are fairly limited, but you still cant go wrong with the basics. Their lunch and dinner menus are entirely different, but Ive been able to try a few different wraps, tuna steak and chicken florentine. Their comeback sauce is one of the best Ive ever had and you could really put it on just about anything. Their shrimp scampi is my favorite and Im hard pressed to try anything else at dinner now days. The service has always been excellent. The people are conversational and helpful. And the owner nearly always comes and personally introduces himself and checks up on the table. My husband and I probably go to Three Families about twice a month now and always suggest it when hosting guests, but sometimes the dinner is simply to fancy for children. Still easy to come up with excuses to go there. I would love to see some of my favorite monthly specials to hit the menu permanently, but as a place thats still establishing itself, it may be a while.

Went there looking for a laid back evening out with my husband. we got way more than we could have hoped for! Dont knock the strip mall location-it is hidden gem of a spot and once inside you wont know the difference. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable-he actually had wonderful recommendations and helped us decide and didnt just try to push the anyone particular item. the house salad with house made dressing was excellent-the salad was a far cry from the mass produced salads at most eateries. My chicken was perfectly paired with the white wine sauce and stuffed with artichokes and spinach. the chicken was moist and fully cooked. the green beans were delicious as well. Make sure and save room for dessert-the house made Creme Brulee was over the top excellent!

Great restaurant. The staff was very friendly. One of the owners even greeted me right away and also came over just converse on the topic of beer. Also the wine selection is superb. Finally the food (which was the primary purpose of my visit) was amazing. The salmon with the coconut lemon glaze was amazing. They really know what theyre doing in the kitchen. Overall, great experience. Hopefully next time I visit, I will have room for dessert.

Went here for a Trivia night. They were serving two dishes a chicken and pork entree with glazed carrots and garlic mashed potatoes and a soup appetizer. On paper it seemed awesome like a home cooking dinner. I was disappointed to receive a soup that was saltier than the Dead Sea. The main course of chicken was a bland herb chicken that looked boiled rather than roasted. But the worst was the garlic mashed potatoes with raw garlic cloves.

Love this neat little family owned restaurant. I enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup, whipped honey butter! Great homemade dessert selection. They have a neat little private room that I took my ladies networking group to for dinner. Owner was friendly and had a lovely conversation with him. Servers are very personable and seem to love working there.

Wonderful dining experience. All of the food was made fresh and tasted fantastic. One of the owners served us and was very friendly. After the great lunch, they brought out the desert tray. Highly recommend the French vanilla creme brulee or "Death by Chocolate" cake/pudding. Will definitely be making this a frequent place to visit.

This place is fantastic! I was very impressed with our entire experience! The owners are super nice, great staff, great food, and I am going to go out on a limb to say its the best family restaurant I have been to in the st.Charles area. Three familys restaurant will be my go to spot from now on and I would recommend it to anyone!

Great restaurant. Wayne, one of the partners, greeted me and offered some wonderful menu suggestions. The food was very good. Prices are very reasonable. Wine prices are great on their compact, but well balanced list. I highly suggest this restaurant and the Passport specials if available.

I have been here several times and I really like the food. There is not a ton of choices, but they are all Delicious. My personal favorite is the buffalo wrap for lunch or the Creme brulee. This place is reasonable priced with good food and a great staff. I recommend trying it out

The owner was walking around to the tables welcoming everyone, ensuring everything was to satisfaction. Very cozy place, terrific menu. The crab cakes I had were some of the best I have ever consumed. I plan on making this a favorite and frequent dining location!

The food is very good at an acceptable price. Nice decor. Friendly staff. I would have given 5 stars for a more gluten free friendly menu. Nothing was listed gluten free; got some guidance from the chef but you can tell they dont cater to the gluten-free.

Atmosphere is wonderful, but service slow. Couldnt blame being busy as an excuse as very few other tables were filled. Menu needs to be more versatile. Soup, salad or sandwiches all they had besides appetizers for lunch menu.

I had a great experience here. Not only was the food excellent and all made in house from scratch, but the family owners were some of the nicest folks Ive ever had the pleasure to speak with. I know I will be back soon.

We found this restaurant about a year ago when we began moving to this area. we really like it. They are willing to make changes and the food is always good. The restaurant far exceeds the external appearance.
