Good food, at least the last time I went there. Unfortunately, we werent able to get a table for Fathers Day, because we had enough people to require two tables, and the restaurants policy is to not help their customers get two tables next to each other. We were told to stake out tables ourselves and apparently pester our neighbors about when they would be leaving so we could grab the tables ourselves before anyone else could come and sit down. The simple idea of holding a table for a few minutes to pull a couple together for a group that wants to eat at your restaurant is lost on them, and they would rather see waiting customers roaming around their restaurant constantly asking seated guests how long they will be staying. I personally dont think thats a good dining experience, but then again I didnt get a chance to try it. We left to eat at another restaurant that somehow figured out how to hold two tables for ten minutes until we got there

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTARAUNT! If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. My fiancé went to work for them for A DAY, and he couldnt stomach being there. They dont have any sanitary rules in place. The cutting boards were used for raw chicken and simply rinsed off with water and sent back out as a clean dish. The cooking utensils dont get washed, they get set in murky water then get rinsed off to be used again. The dishwasher was chewing tobacco while he was working and spitting his chew spit into the sink that he wash using to wash dishes. None of the employees washed their hands, even after taking the trash out, the dishwasher didnt wash his hands before handling clean dishes. There were no managers there to direct the kitchen or wait staff. Im surprised that nobody has gotten severely sick from eating here.. I pray that if you are reading this you think twice before eating here.

3 months ago I waited for 25mins to be served. No one even looked at me so I left and didnt go back for the 3 months. I went there tonight and 18mins went by and I told myself I would never go back again if someone did ask me with in 2 mins if I was not being helped. As I started to stand up a waitress asked me If I was being helped. They took my order and 20 mins later I asked as she was walking by if they forgot me. My food has been setting out all this time and had got cold. She told me the food was on the house. I took 3 bites and it was the worst cold food I ever received from Cedars. Needless to say I will not be going back. Its a shame after about 35 years it has come to this.

Depending on if you get Tracy on the phone, the service is good. Especially when you go in to eat, but if you make a call in order watch out what you say, you may not get an order for some one because sometimes they like to add your house hash browns to someone elses sides. Called in today and had a hard time, still dont know if I will get my actual order and my husbands seoerate order. My review will go up, when she learns to be friendlier and take a good order.

This is Absolutely my favorite place to eat breakfast, and sometimes any other meal too. The food Is Excellent, Huge portions, Price is the lowest Ive found in springfield for the portion size, and the service is Always top notch. In my honest opinion this place needs to win some awards or something because its very hard to find a Great place to eat that Excells in all of the major 3 catagories. A+++++++++++++ NO DOUBT.

Its hard to find a good family restaurant these days. Especially a place that makes excellent food at a reasonable price. This is by far the best place if you want a home cook style meal and i,guarantee youll come here hungry but youll leave with a full belly. Fast and friendly too

So, i love this place. I would rather eat here than anywhere. Tonight we drove from Bolivar to eat here and sadly they were busy as heck and we waited 40 mins to place our order. We waited cuz it is the best. Other than the unfortunate wait time everything as always was amazing.

Love the food, the prices are very reasonable. Thanks waitresss are awesome. We have been coming here for more than 19 years. Yes one of them may have a bad day from time to time, but hell so do I. But they always made sure we were taken care of.... Thanks Ladies...

Had the tenderloin, came with a hair. Showed waitress, real nice, she apologized. No money off, no offer to replace, the cook didnt even come out to apologize nor the owner. Food was part at best. Wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy let alone good friends.

Friendly service, plenty of staff, Good biscuits, average gravy, undercooked my eggs a bit, same with the hash browns, should have left them both on the grill a little longer. Not bad, but not someplace that I have to go back to, just ok.

Got 3 meals to go. 2 of the meals were fine, pork tenderloin sandwiches. 3rd meal was supposed to be a cheeseburger AND fries. The fries were MISSING and the burger was smashed & very greasy. Not sure if Ill fine there again.

Rustic ambience -- truly rustic -- not a hipsters take on shabby chic. Generous portions of hearty food and accomodating staff. Must try the cedars hash browns -- the breakfast chicken fried steak is huge and tasty!
