Our 2nd Chance
Very slow service. Walked in at 1 oclock. 6 or so tables taken. It took a bit to be greeted. There should have been more than 2 waiters. The salsa is good. More spice than usual. The crispy taco shel is the best Ive had in a long while. The pork in the chimichanga was good, but the beans in it sucked. Probably the worst refried beans Ive ever had. Id come back for the tacos, though.

This place is good if you are in the area, and craving mexican. They have a simple, modest menu with classic mexican dishes you would expect. I had the enchiladas plate my last visit and it was very satisfying, worth the visit. It is a very quick trip across the street from Ameristar casino. Its worth a meal if you are nearby and hungry for some mexican flavor.

This place is the biggest rip off. I ordered a whole order of nachos with chicken. The whole order was maybe 7 chips with hardly any cheese sauce n very little chicken. Other mexican restaurants you get full. Not this place. Very dissatisfied! At least El maguay gives u a plate Full!

Tommy you are dumb real Mexican food at el maguey? You sound like a crack head real Mexican is down on Cherokee street in the city. El tio pepe is one of the best out of the crap we have here. El maguey is bland and the furthest from real Mexican food I have ever found.

I ordered the pollo en mole for lunch. It was okay, not the best Ive had and not the worst. Service was a little slow and we ended up just requesting to have a pitcher of water placed at our table. Overall, I will return to try the other items on the menu.

My family is obsessed with El Tios. We come here at LEAST once every time I come back in town to visit. I personally recommend the ground beef chimichanga with the melty white cheese added on top. SO GOOD. :)

Service was a mess. The servers were nice, just not organized what-so-ever. In other words, it was super slow. Margaritas were good, but lacked the tequila. Food wasnt bad. Will I go here again? No.
