This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who visits the restaurant once a week, we tried it the Sunday of the Kimmswick apple butter festival back in october. Long story short, we ate, had an extremely long time waiting for our bill, tried paying by debit card, which wasnt working after 30 minutes of waiting. We ended up paying cash and giving waitress $10 tip for her frustration thinking bill was going to be charged to credit card. Come to find out my moms card was charged and we paid cash. Spoke with Victor on numerous occasions, as well as his employees, we have been told our money will be credited back. However, as of today, almost 3 months later, we have not seen a refund. Victor will not return phone calls. Yes it is only $42.12, but it is the principle, not good business. We will no longer patronize this establishment. Very dishonest owner.

food its self was very good however the service was beyond awful!! Went during the evening it was my table and about 4 others in the whole place so not that busy. Waitress got our drinks and came back 15min later saying she completely forgot about our table and then took our order....that kinda upset me but that isnt what set me over the edge....ate our food and our plates got taken from the table it took over 30 min from when our plates were taken till the time we got our receipt. Another waitress saw that we had been sitting for over 30 min and finally got it to us.....my table was forgotten twice....it was my first time eating at el paisano i really enjoyed the food but i will NEVER go back unless they get new staff.

Waited quite a while to be greeted, service was slow, food was delicious, but the waitress was arrogant when it mattered. Served us dinner portions during lunch and then blamed us for her mistake. She immediately took a defensive position when questioned, insisted on getting in the last words, and taunted us repeatedly. Then stood within ear shot talking about us. She is a detriment to the owners. I waited tables in college, always tip 20%, but tipped $0.00 for the first time EVER! I will never go back! Need a tip? Take it out of the $11 we were overcharged. How dare you treat people that way!

Worst Mexican experience EVER! My boyfriend and I love Mexican food, and often try new places, and made the mistake of coming here. The salsa is picante, not even authentic Mexican! We ordered extra cheese on the nachos, they came out with very little cheese (after the request) and it was soupy and watery! Asked for extra cheese, they wanted to charge us 2xs extra to bring out, what they didnt do the first time! And then they were the worst nachos to top it off! Will never come here again!

Waited almost 3hrs for our food. Should have followed the trail of people who walked out. The food is the definition of HORRIBLE. Rather than properly answer my question before I even ordered they decided to make my "build your own combo" into 2 separate orders and charge me a double order. Asked for some side tacos and they made that an order too. Thats some super shady business. Seriously worst place you could go. let me tell you, that "authentic " sign on the building is a damn lie.

If you want the nastiest food in arnold, stop here. The best horror arnold can give you all year long. Like waiting 2 and a half hours for your food? Come here. Like to get double billed and scammed? Come here. This place says " authentic " mexican... let me tell you, no Mexican restaurant Ive ever gone to uses the same salsa tomato sauce they serve you with chips as they do in shrimp cocktails. The food is salty too, I highly doubt they get much repeat business.

Poor Service!!!! And to think I gave the lady a tip. Thought about going in asking 4 it back. Ordered food to go. Went out to my truck to eat it. No fork, No Napkins!!!! Drink so full of ice barely any soda. Food was good. I work hard for my money. Sad to think people think they deserve 20% tip when they cant even do their job. Every order to go should hv at least napkins. Utensils. Just coz I order to go does not mean Im taking it home to eat it.

They have up charged me the last two times i have gone trying to say were getting new menus they said this first 4 months ago, i went in tonight and had the same problem! They add on 20c or a dollar here or there and it made a $4 difference with my $20 bill. plus the waitress was terrible, she checked on an older gentleman 4 times and never refilled our drink the whole time. the food is good but CHECK THAT BILL!

Here everyday and eat this incredible authentic food. Service is on top of you as you need it,was short handed some of the time but thats what happens when youre revamping the situations that occurred. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Not only for the service,awesome happy hour,delicious food but also because you are treated like family here. Please dont take the downhills to the full restaurant.

BEWARE, WE WERE DOUBLE BILLED ON OUR DEBIT CARD!! WE RETURNED WITH PROOF ONLY TO BE MET BY AN ARROGANT MANAGER AND OWNER. Weve be a customer for years now. Usually great service, food is consistent, and well prepared. The service has been slow in the past yes...but nothings is perfect and I am usually happy with them. So Ill rate them 4 stars, and even if I hit an "off" night Ill always come back!

Poor service. The staff did not communicate well. A smear of sour cream came from the bottom of a plate and left on our table by the busboy. Tortillas werent brought with the pollo ranchero and werent brought after we were asked if we wanted them.

I cant say enough good things about this place! Real Mexican food, with great prices. The atmoshere and service is always top notch. If you like spicy, give the Chili Colorado with green sause a try. You wont be disapointed.

Best atmosphere of any Mexican restaurant I know of in this area. Full mariachi band every 3rd Thursday and almost always a guitar player. The food is good, too.

Worst Mexican food ever! Shrimp cocktail was nasty, all the food was very salty. Food took about 2 hours to be served. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
