Hey guess what I am confused about ? I was told by corporate that the other locations were closed due to poor sales and they were failingllocations but , if this is true why didnt you close the st charles rock rd location first thats what I asked the lady I spoke to and she replied everything was based on numbers. I explained to her how watery the mac and cheese was and that it had no taste , I even told the kitchen manager Roy the company is allowing this man to run their restaurant into the ground and hes been there forever. I also told Roy the water taste like pipes he tried the water and said it tastes like water to me well of course thats what youre going to say. I asked him for a refund and I was told that my server told him that I had several plates of food , I was on the phone the entire time I was at the table I taste the mac and cheese and I pushed my plate away from me and I got up to see about getting a refund. The other problem is that he would not give me eye to eye contact and he stood 3ft away from me , everyone was able to hear our conversation the cashier wasnt polite at all she didnt speak all she said was how many. I spoke to her and she still didnt speak how freaking hard is it to say hi or hello to be honest I should have turned around and left , and went to golden corral its the same price and their food is better than hometown buffet and theyre fully staff. The thought of paying almost $3 for one drink is outrageous I dont care if I am getting refills I am not ok with paying that amount for drinks at Golden corral either. I am a business owner and if I saw complaints against businesses in my shopping centers I would put them on notice letting them know that I will put you out of business if I see anymore complaints. The businesses inside of the shopping centers doesnt understand or know that , the owners of the shopping centers are the ones that suffers more than the businesses theyre leases the spaces to. In the event that they have to physically step in and shut down a business they loose money from the long process of putting that space back on the market for lease because , word gets out about what happened to the last business and so on nobody will want to take a chance with that particular space or shopping center. I really hope that the owners of the shopping center step in and shut down the hometown buffet immediately , even though it is the last one here in st louis mo and I am upset about how the elderly is being taken advantage of atthis llocation.

I am visiting from Mississippi I lived in St Louis years ago. I use to come here for a good home cooked meal. So I am here for a funeral and thought I would come and enjoy a great meal but it was awful. The dressing was burned so bad that I had to scrape off the top to get the dressing. The fish was cold cold! The green bean were cold also. I my sister ate something off the steam table that you had to make your own taco and got sick on the stomach and we gad to leave. . I wanted to talked to the manager but I decided that I would just get my sister out she had been in the ladies room so long I just wanted out. We both are senior citzen and i dont lije to make trouble then I get this survey on my phone. I hate to be the one that had to say this but maybe it might help make it the way it was before. I will be here for a week I dont think se have one in Mississippi but maybe I will try it again when I come back home to visit. I have eaten here so many times and loved it thats why I wanted to go there today.

OMG!! Please dont waste your money at this place! D I S G U S T I N G!! The food was just sitting on the bar looking old, after walking around I decided to only get chips and topped it with cheese, lettuce, meat and tomatoes.. Once I took my first and only bite I realize the meat had a terrible taste to it so the taco salad that I thought was going to at least be good was terrible! After that point I asked to speak with a manager and after almost 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come talk to me he comes out, I complained to him about paying over $40 for me and my two kids to eat and all we had was a taco salad was absolutely ridiculous! I told him it was so bad that my kids didnt even want desert! That was beyond crazy cause they loves desert! Anyways..all we got was a SORRY you didnt like anything and was sent on our way! I wouldnt recommend a DOG to eat at this place!

Beware, if you go there on Sunday and you come after 11:00 you will pay 31.00 for basically brunch instead of lunch. They will still have breakfast food out. The food that everyone before 11:00 paid less for. They will keep putting breakfast food out until it runs out. Management at the store level is less than third rate (excluding Mike). I had to go through two people at the Corporate level to finally get to speak with somebody that explained in detail what their process is. I didnt necessarily agree but at least he listened to me, took my suggestions and didnt try to tell me that I was the one that had done everything wrong. Since you wont get a straight answer from management at this location I am posting this. Hopefully they can get new management at this location that can communicate to customers in a professional manner. Or even just communicate.

If you are thinking about a buffet for lunch, this should be an option and I am hoping we just had a one-time poor experience. The problem was that we were there for the prime-time lunch time and there seemed to be no guidance for the staff, such as a manager. There was one food prep employee that was standing behind his station texting. The servers were congregating in a location near the buffet lines and not out with the customers. There was only one person running the register and the line was out the door. Many of the food items were out of stock (i.e. we were at the location for over 30 minutes and the ranch dressing was never re-stocked) on the buffet line or had been sitting there so long that they were stale (the chicken sliders were on stale bread). This buffet has great potential, but is in need of management.

Food was pretty good and there is a decent selection. We came about 445 on Saturday and it wasnt busy at all. The womens bathroom was disgusting as usual. There was a plunger in one toilet, trash on the floor and overflowing, floor was wet by the drain which makes you think that a toilet overflowed, no paper towels in any dispenser just a roll on the counter soaking wet. Also it seems they were short staffed because the man at the meat carving station was always doing something besides cutting meat for people. .like he was doing 3 peoples jobs! I decided to soak with the manager before I left just to point these things out and he acted slow like he didnt know what was going on or where he was. .I dont think hes manager material. We wont be coming back! Rosa is an awesome waitress though!
