This place for lunch, Wednesday thru Saturday, is nuts. But theyll still get you in for a reasonable time. They have a small buffet setup for people wanting to get in and out which is great. But the menu...SO GOOD. I think its safe to say their green curry and the Matsuman curry are on the sweeter side, but thats not unusual at all. Ive yet to be disappointed with any dish Ive tried. It can be frustrating when its slammed to get some service now and again, but theyre so accommodating and overall very amicable. They just always feel a little bit understaffed...a classic situation with asian food restaurants. Some things you must try: The Papaya Salad- it comes with Thai Beef Jerky and isnt too strong on the fish sauce. Very delicious. The Thai Fried Rice- they really do it well, theres a few good choices and if you enjoy heat, get the Pineapple Fried Rice and order it medium or hot. The thing EVERYONE should try is Laab. Laab is a very traditional dish. Its minced chicken(kai) or beef mixed with rice powder, cilantro, lime juice and pepper powder. Its served with rice and lettuce leaves for making little wraps and the most delicious, simple chicken vegetable soup. Ive quit trying the menu and just order that every time. I love this place and I love the people. Enjoy!

I am starting to think that these reviewers would give raman noodles 4 stars! This place is terrible. I have eaten there twice. Once with two friends...we had heard it was very good. All three of us thought the food was mediocre to bad. Of course I never planned to return, but a year later I had forgotten the name of the place and it was new years night, so my fav Thai place was closed and this was the only one open for take out. As soon as I pulled up with my girlfriend, I realized that this was the place I had gone before. This time the food was even worse! The chicken was hard as rock--I had never tasted cheaper chicken. And her order tasted like duck sauce over rice. It was just absolutely horrible. So maybe me and the people I associate with are just too picky about food, but I suspect the people writing these reviews would give dog food a raving review.

As a first time customer, I am always skeptical about small Asian restaurants due to its ever popular issues with cleanliness and lackluster food. Well I have just discovered the absolute best Thai restaurant in the entire Twin Cities. My wife and I were looking for a place to eat before seeing TSO at the Xcel Energy Center and stumbled across this place. We first ordered the spring rolls. Absolutely amazing! Then we ordered a soup, Pad Thai and Pad Pak which were extremely tasteful and left us with breathe taking moments. Before we left, my wife and I used the bathroom which was also spotless. Kudos! We agreed that we will be coming to this place anytime we are going to Xcel.

Wanted to tried this restautant as I was experiencing huge withdrawal from Asian food despite only spending 3 days in St Paul. Its located near the downtown area, the interior is simple and plain. Ordered a Tom yum soup and sticky mango rice. To be frank, it tasted decent at best, and definitely lack the kick that you get from authentic Thai restaurant. Perhaps it has adjusted its cooking to suit Americans. I asked for extra spicy soup but it wasnt that spicy in the end. The mango sticky rice was not bad too, but something seems to be missing. All in all I enjoyed the meal greatly, it certainly fulfilled my craving and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended for a quick Thai fix.

Food was terrible! If you think this place has good food, then you must have not had good authentic Thai food before. I ordered a couple entrees with a friend today and each of them were just disappointing! Their Thai papaya salad had no taste and the beef jerky that came with it was rock hard. The lab (ground beef salad) was just sour with no other taste. The beef curry was loaded with sugar. On top of all of that, service was slower and horrible. Im not even exaggerating. Never going there again.

This is by far the best thai food in the twin cities. I only go here for lunch being that it is a bit of a hole in the wall but I often go to other thai restaurants (sawatdee, king and I etc and just wish I went here) Their curry is the best, and for some reason Im addicted to their curry fried rice... Ive tried about 12 things on the menu and none have disappointed. I recommend the matsaman curry or the red curry. Make sure you get it with Sticky Rice!!!

This is one of my absolute favorite Thai spots. Their pad thai is one of the very best. Great curries, salads, apps... BAN XEO (look it up). Duck lovers beware, they have a roast duck curry that is something special. The atmosphere is nice, with lots of comfy booths, and traditional decor here and there. Service is always good but its not a good place to be in a huge hurry at. The quality of the food makes it more than worth your while.

This place is a joke! I order take-out at 5:15pm today .. was told 45 mins. Ok, that is a long wait but good Thai is totally worth it. Show up at 6:10pm - my wife goes in - 15 mins go by, I get it sometimes things take longer than expected. 6:45pm I finally go in and she is standing there with no one in sight. I asked her when she last saw someone, it had been at least 40 mins. We left, they can keep the food they cooked, and well never be back.

The food here is absolutely tasty! Its the next best thing to the food itself from Thailand. I have dined at many Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities and I would have to say that this restaurant serves up the best fare that still has the authenticity to the dishes. The place itself is not that appealing, but the food is something to be addicted to. I definently recommend this place.

This is the best thai food around! Get the special egg rolls. Ive searched all over the twin cities and havent found a better egg roll. Ive really liked every dish Ive tried at Ruam Mit, but some favorites are pha ram long song (with steamed vegetables) and bung bo. Their pad thai is phenomenal, too. The restaurant looks like a little dive, but dont let that keep you away.

My favorite Thai place in the metro. I would eat here everyday if i could. Go early on Fridays or prepare to wait. The Pad Thai Chicken is awesome. Always friendly staff and quick with the water and soda refills (thankfully when eating the hot level!) Appetizers are good priced and flavorful. The deluxe egg rolls are teh best and the peanut sauce is tasty.

My first experience with Thai. Ordered takeout and it took longer than expected because they lost the order. However their customer service was very professional, they were apologetic and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. The food was very good the shrimp pad Thai was delicious and the egg rolls were amazing. I would recommend them and will be back
