How could we have not known about this incredible treasure, called Black market barbecue? It came as a wonderful surprise to us to find out about them. We have now ordered everything they offer and have been overwhelmed with how absolutely delicious it is. Truly, the bonus is they are right here in our neighborhood, they are our neighbors, the money goes back into our neighborhood, and friendlier group of people you have never met. Its quite a social place. Also, they will deliver on some orders! We had the pork shoulder just the other week, and it was incredible. Our family is divided on which they like better, the ribs or pork shoulder. I can tell you what I like best is that the people are so friendly and grateful for your business!

Three words: this is BBQ. Everything else Ive ever tried in Minnesota has been smoked meat with sauce on it. Thats not BBQ. Real BBQ is love; real BBQ is a passion; real BBQ is someone whos been smoking meat behind the scenes for the better part of three decades and then suddenly people are showing up at a pit thats parked on the West Side of Saint Paul and for whatever reason they keep coming back. Is it the community? Yes. Is it the quality meat? Yes. Is it the bark on that brisket and the meat sweats? Yes. Black Market is all of those things, and more. If you can manage to get an order in for Friday on Isabel, you should consider yourself blessed. It will be the best decision youve made in a very long time.

This super small business is a treasure of the West side. After a sample at a work event I knew I had to stop by and pick up some more for the big game. Bought a whole pork shoulder for the Superbowl this year and it was fantastic and fed everyone (10-12 people.) The fall apart tenderness and blackened, chewy skin had the whole room making noise. Was given to me in a heat saving box that kept it hot until I was ready to serve it up by some of the nicest folks youll meet. Great experience from start to overtime-finish. Ill be coming back for more.

The most unreal brisket and ribs you will ever have. I love bbq, and normally love to lather on the sauce....not this stuff, I wouldnt dream of ruining it with sauce. Seriously unbelievable!

What an excellent discovery! If you love dry BBQ- this is it! Not spicey hot, not mustardy, not sweet, and not wet. This is good stuff. Flavor that melts in your mouth.
