We had the server mentioned in the previous "glowing" reviews on a slower Thursday night. She had came and taken our drink orders and 10 minutes later came back and taken our food order, without bringing us our drinks, but saw our drinks sitting on the bar awaiting delivery which she walked right by. The manager or supervisor at the time had to deliver the drinks for her 5 minutes later. We had ordered the happy hour burgers with quite a few upsale items. Food came, which was delivered by another server which was fine and dandy. But soon realized we had no napkins or silverware. We waited for a good 10 minutes, attempting to make eye contact to gain attention, but that never worked. I eventually walked up to the bar to get what we needed, where the bar tender looked at me and said she apologized for us not having those items (took 2 trips up to get everything). Not to mention, I am in a wrist brace, which is very difficult to eat a big burger. It was quite obvious to me that I was in need of some silverware. The last time we saw her was when she asked us for another drink. I said yes. My girlfriend said no. She brought me the other drink and said, and I quote, "Heres your beer, want your check too?". We gladly accepted and paid (and tipped her for her lack of service) and left. We will return but will sit at the bar. Not at the tables. Horrific service.

The service is always consistent. The bar is clean. Draft beer selection always seems on with the season and a few gems for all to like. The just rolled out a great looking new menu and the food is a joke. The food menu looks delicious and what is served is just the opposite. Yesterday we ordered their Poutine, Queso Dip and Applewood Smoked Wings. First the Poutine: It arrives at the table and we carefully remove the egg to another plate. Not because I do not want yummy yolk goodness on the poutine; but because it was not fully cooked. A huge portion of the egg was clear snot (uncooked egg yolk). Second the Queso Dip: Zero flavor, The blend of "chesse, green onions and jalapenos" was more like a white velveeta paste. The chips we very good texture wise except for the lack of any salt or seasoning. Lastly Applewood Smoked Wings: Crap bits of chicken made and frozen weeks ago after having undergone some "simulated" and actual smoking flavoring. The "blue cheese" dip was ranch dressing with some granules of blue cheese. My server was super nice and funny yesterday, otherwise the poor quality of food would have warranted a one star and stay away review from me. Someday I hope to revise this review to talk about the great food, but more then likely they will get someone super sick or kill someone and the "VP" will close forever.

This was overall a pretty adequate experience. Nothing about the place was too bad, but nothing there was good enough for me to be interested in coming back again. I have to say this does have the type of service I enjoy at a restaurant. It didnt take too long for our food to come out after ordering and we didnt have to wait super long for our check. I personally like to minimize my wait time between finishing my food and leaving and I felt like this was one of the few restaurants Ive been to that does just that. That being said, I cant praise the service for anything else. I dont know if our waitress was just having a bad day but she had the most uncaring attitude towards us and the surrounding customers. Whenever she asked us a question it was always in passing, so when we did need something she was already gone. Most surprising though, is that she didnt ask to see any of our IDs when we ordered drinks. Were all in our early twenties so I expected her to ask us at least once since we all ordered drinks at different times, but it never happened.

I hate this place. I travel for business and VP is close to my hotel so I keep going back. But, I dont eat the food because I got sick each me, so Ive opted for a seat at the bar and all that it promises. I have to say they have one good bartender Cam. The rest, have no experience at bartending or aspire to pour anything other than a draft beer. That said, they have a large selection of draft beers and also a "Mug Club". whereby all of the locals get a big giant mug that the bartender keeps full and by full I mean she refills the same mug running the beer up on the spout like she knows shes spreading germs and going to make someone sick. I watched another bartender make the local drunk DWI attorney a martini and she used her two fingers to scoop up olives for the cocktail. They use a bar towel to clean lipstick off wine glasses after theyve been run through the sanitizer. Nice group of local patrons. Like others have said on other sites, I recommend paying cash (bar only) or paying close attention to your check.

Service was good, the staff was very freindly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean, had good music, a good beer selection, and comfortable seating. -On the other hand- The server assured me before ordering, that the burgers are hand pattied fresh in house. Unfortunately, the burger patty closely resembled a discount patty you would buy from the freezer section in a grocery store; also, no pink center as the menu stated. $4 upgrade to homemade tater tots. They were more like seasoned mashed potato logs that were deep fried. A bit misleading if you ask me, I didnt care for them. We just moved to the neighborhood. I was excited to try a new place, unfortunately, I left disappointed. Ill give them another shot, but Im not going to get my hopes up. I would also like to mention that a number of people who rated this place 4 or 5 stars, also gave a 4 or 5 rating to: McDonalds, Chilis, and TGI Fridays.

We have been here at least 4 times. We live out of state and I will tell you that the Rueben is hands down the absolute best Ive ever had anywhere!! The onion rings are also terrific as is the wild rice soup. I have never been disappointed with a meal there although last time we were dining there my husband didnt eat his baked beans and the server was quite concerned and asked us how that item could be improved. We have met the manager and he was just great!! I love to go there whenever we are in town. There is usually a nice mix of people there and our servers have been top notch. I would certainly recommend this place to others!!

I wish I could put this on at 0 Stars. Terrible food-took an hour to get lunch and we had to pack up and leave. Server was nice. Food was horrific. All of us feel gross and sick after eating there. My fries and chicken strips are burnt. The chicken strips are so burnt that they were visibly almost black in some spots and too hard to bite through-and a coworker and myself could tell that they likely havent changed out their fryer grease in a while-it actually makes me sick just imagining the condition it was probably in. Will not EVER go back.
