We went for happy hour on a Friday - seated right away. The prices were okay, but the food was not awesome, to put it kindly. The steamed mussels were a little fishy, and the fish and chips didnt taste much like fish at all. The chicken breast on the chicken caesar salad was approximately 3/8 inch thick and pretty small too. They do have a rotating slider menu, and we landed on Cubano - pulled pork and a slice of ham with good stone ground mustard. This was a winner. The service was so fast that we felt pressured rather than pleased. Apparently this place was voted one of Americas top 20 gastropubs at some point in the past, but their happy hour didnt really reflect those accolades. The beer selection is broad and well priced during happy hour; this earned them the second star. Id give two and a half stars if I could, but three is pushing it.

We came because there were some special beers on tap that my husband wanted to try. The service was incredibly slow, even though they werent busy. I had to ask for water, and then ask for a refill after sitting with an empty glass for 15 minutes. We ordered the kale salad and a burger to share. The salad was $13 but was the size of a side salad, and had very little flavor. With fries, the burger was $16 and underwhelming. We ordered it cooked medium but it was barely cooked at all...I like my meat rare, but I at least want it cooked. At this point wed waited so long that it wasnt worth sending it back and having to wait again. Beer selection is great, but everything else is overpriced and mediocre at best. Wont return.

I was excited to try this place with my wife on a Saturday date. Pulled pork was laughable, cottonesque, and many other things but I think you get the picture. I could get past that it maybe wasnt a good night, but our waiter was such a jerk, seriously the biggest jerk Ive encountered as a server, that I felt motivated to write this review. In hindsight, the manager was very nice and Im sure he got a talking to. Then back to the food - there is more talent working with pork in the cities. If the food would have been worth it I would have overlooked everything else that transpired.

Oh we just really like it here. Good drinks in a really welcoming atmosphere that doesnt feel at all like some of the other stuffy Edina/50th and France places can sometimes feel. The happy hour menu is particularly good as a bargain and very tasty. We like the mussels for one, and things that come out of the kitchen tend to come out with an upbeat "here, hope you enjoy this" vibe. Bartender that we usually see is uniquely good at making you feel welcome. Kids seem happy here too! Nice pub atmosphere.

Josh is the best bartender! I visited Minneapolis for the first time in July and visited this place. Josh was bartending and was super nice and insisted on showing this California girl that Minnesota was a blast. My boyfriend and I came back to Minneapolis to visit friends a little over a month later and decided to stop in since we had a blast the first time. Josh remembered us instantly! It was such a great bar and we will keep going back every time we visit just to see Josh! Thank you!

Its striking to me how this place exists next to Beaujo, Agraculture, Arezzo, even Barrio. Or Edina Cinema, with its movie selection sophistication. Theyre from totally different worlds. Had pierogi and fish&chips yesterday, food with little appeal, uber-fried, thus killing most of its taste. Comfort food can be made good, I promise you. The beer selection was alright, but dont have too many, since the toilets just suck or are out of service. Price was ok for the area.

The Beer Minds
The Beer Minds is a group of homebrewers located in the Twin Cities who gather once a month to soak our taste buds in delicious craft beer! We visited the Pig and Fiddle this summer after work for a few tasty barley pops. I remember having a burger, fries and lots of beer. The beer selection is fantastic. The bar has around 20 different taps and they all seem to be great beers. Great place for a happy hour as the prices are a bit steep.

We went here on a Sunday night over Memorial Day weekend. The ambiance of the place was nice, although relatively quiet (which might be good for some). Surely recommend more for an older crowd. The drinks menu has a decent amount of variety, and after 10 the drinks are $2 off, so Pig and Fiddle drink prices are relatively cheap. Only caveat is be careful the kitchen closes at 10, so if youre out for some drinks eat ahead of time!

Above average, pretty good. Portion sizes look small, but trust me it is FILLING. Had the pig and fiddle burger, it was incredible. The fries kinda suck, but theyre just fries. Great barbecue sauce, if your dish could go with their bbq sauce, do it. Really cool waitress, owner was nice. My only issues were the fries and that they ran out of 4 different things. Overall great. Will be back.

Well. Ok. But I gave our server $20 bill for a $11 drink tab and I got back $4. Seems a $5 tip was automatically charged. Its all good though, she was a sweet girl. Perhaps she was math challenged. I loved her nose ring and bubbly personality. She probably just miscounted. Otherwise the experience was good. We sat by the wibdow. Good people watching during todays art fair in Edina.

The drinks and service was nice. It was quiet when we arrived on a Sunday night, around 8pm, however it picked up around 10pm and was pretty busy. I ordered the scallops with pea puree while my companion had the short ribs. The scallops were tasty, but the portion was appetizer sized with an entree price. I would come back again, but when Im not as hungry.

Great happy hour, good food, wonderful service from expert staff. The atmosphere is casual and warm, classy but not remotely intimidating. Theyve got an excellent taplist, featuring a large rotating selection of awesome crafts, especially for this area. The $6 burger and surly hell on mondays might just be the best deal in the city!

Took forever to get our food and it didnt even all come together. Burger wasnt cooked to order - why ask if your not going to care? Bread on another dish just tasted like charcoal. Frieds were over cooked and greasy. I suppose if you want to get drunk and drink beer this place is for you. Otherwise spend your money somewhere else.

The best bar in Edina. Pig and fiddle has an incredible staff that is always very attentive and knowledgable. They have an unrivaled beer selection that frequently changes as well as outstanding seasonal food that never ceases to surprise and pair well with a brew. Also often have very fun events !

I got the tacos over lunch with the curry soup. Tacos were dry and lacked flavor. The curry soup was decent but just wasnt impressed. Also I was one of 3 people there and service was super slow. On a positive note they had a great beer selection. Guess I was just expecting more.

Excellent staff. Friendly to out of towners. Want to try some food you wont find every day, p&f is it. Chef delivers food and explained what we were about to eat. So after freaking out our pallets we finished with some of the absolute best Mac and cheese Ive ever had.
