I loved the New York strip steak that melted in my mouth. Ordered with a skewer of shrimp nicely complimented the entre. Walleye, a local favorite makes a great choice. Other fish, steaks,chicken and pork with a choice of fresh sides and salads are available. Desserts brought out to your table make decisions easy . All food is chosen,prepared & served with great care. The prices are very reasonable. The lodge like building with terrific view of Lake Minnewaska is worth the trip. Owner Jill delights in showering newcomers with hospitality. Huge pictures of old time fishing expeditions, wooden boats and famous bands that played dance music provide a glimpse into Lakesides rich history since 1925.

Expensive, so/so food. Over the years Ive passed by this place never to see it open. I finally passed by when it was open and stopped in. I ended up getting the Tuna Steak ($21). It was cooked spot on but was really really un-fresh and tasted like a dead carp. The included salad bar had spinach and brown iceberg lettuce. Even though the place was pretty empty the service took forever. My girlfriend did like her chicken but she sure should have as it was $15 bucks for a piece of chicken.

For the price poor at best. Maybe they do a good burger, as for a super .... Keep practing. Service very poor must pay well because staff didnt try to earn great tip, love to over tip someone that works hard. Two stars is only because I love my old home. Hope it was an off night, sure wasnt because of a large crowd twenty people tops. Wont risk that much money there again.

Best restaurant in this area of Minnesota! No "American Pub" style pre-fab here, these are great chefs! everything in the menu is prepared with TLC! Friendly staff and beautiful landscape. Once again, the best restaurant in this area of Minnesota! Get the steak and add mushrooms and onions, its the best!

The broiled shrimp is wonderful. Nice salad bar and fresh baked bread. There desserts homemade, try the carrot cake best! Maria is the sweetest waitress. Ask for her.

Visit was very pleasant. Only issue was over done prime rib but was corrected super fast with a heartfelt apology. Food was great and Kris(?) our server was super!
