food poisoning! i ordered the chicken enchilada platter (red, white, green....las mexicanas). the chicken was canned and tasted a little weird, sour. the rice was very bland. even though i was famished, i ate less than half and couldnt eat anymore. we left. i got increasingly sick over the next half hour or so until i couldnt hold it in and had to pull over on the side of the road. been sick for days now and missing work. ruined my anniversay weekend getaway.

Once I find a dish that I like, I pretty much stick to it and El Tequila is THE BEST for enchiladas. BUT...the last night I strayed from my usual and had the Sauteed Shrimp. It is under Aperitivos/Appetizers, but I ordered the 1 pound and it was more than enough for a full meal. It came with rice and beans (which are phenomenal) for under $20. I may have a new favorite.

Delicious food and very good service. Great prices and excellent specials. Especially when you are the first customer of the day~~~[Arrive at 10:59 for lunch]~~~ Ask for the spicy salsa. Steak and chicken fajitas are superb as is the speedy Gonzalez shredded beef tacos. Gluten free corn tortillas are soft and fluffy. They have good drinks too. Enjoy, I do, often.

El Tequila is one of two small chains of Mexican restaurants with locations in Faribault, the other being Grand Plaza on central. Both offer good solid renditions of Mexican standards. I would give the edge to El Tequila in terms of food flavor and quality, and the edge to Grand Plaza for price, service, and atmosphere.

Their menu doesnt state whats actually on their food, they just put whatever they feel like on it, they get it wrong twice and still expect you to pay for it and then say its your fault because you didnt just know , really the one in waseca is great, never bother with this terrible wait staff in Faribault!

Great salsa keeps me coming back! I dont think I have had a single thing from the menu that I havent enjoyed. I love the enchiladas - be sure to try cheese and onion. They also have beef or chicken. Go with standard red sauce, or my favorite - green sauce. I like their chips with queso too.

Ordered the fajita trio. The plates was lacking some meat. The shrimp where very small and only four of them If you are only gonna put four shrimp you would think it would be the jumbo not the mini shrimp. It wasnt all bad the staff was friendly the place is clean. Good relaxing atmosphere.

I go here all of the time! The food is amazing and comes out fresh and quick! The staff is awesome! Me and my boyfriend always get Alex and he is my favorite! Everyone there is super helpful! I recommend going on your birthday! And also try their margaritas!!!

I hate that they add beef and sour cream and call it Mexican food! The taste is okay overall, the salsa tasted weird, not spicy so there for not Mexican. I wouldnt eat there again.
