Wow, wow, wow! Visited for the first time, and the whole family agrees we will be back often. We had the brisket (perfectly moist and tender), ribs (jerkey-like glazed outside, with meat that pulls easily from the bone), mac and cheese (wife loved it, no one else got any), fries, and sticky rice. We did takeout, but the seating area, while modest in size, was clean and well decorated. In addition to plates and sandwiches, they sell BBQ by the pound, though only in whole or half-pound portions. They also have various meals with multiple meats and sides for different size crowds. I am thrilled to have a go-to BBQ joint on the north side of town.

Ive been coming here since this place opened and have witness their customer service downgrade....funny how their prices have been rising but the portions of food have been lessened.....had to argue with the cashier about 4 pieces of toast that use to come with my food but now its only 2 pieces and she states its always been that way....girl for real...Ive been spending money here....but NOT ANYMORE....businesses just dont care about losing customers anymore huh? BYE FELICIA....and Im sure I wont be the last...

Loved the chicken wings!!! The portion/price ratio was perfect!! Menu was simple with great options. Pretty much everything was good. but as a suggestion the mac n cheese could have been creamier it was a little dry but not bad. And the ribtips had great flavor but some were too chewy, still good. Only thing we thought was bad were the sweet potatoes they tasted very wierd! Almost soapy or something. But we really liked everythimg else. we will be back to try the ribs and to get lots more wings!

WOW this joint is amazing. We have been on the look out for the best ribs in MN. We hit the jackpot. The smoke flavor was perfect. They were thick and fall off the bone. They were the juiciest ribs I have ever had. Even the end peices of the slab were perfectly cooked. Order with the sauce on the side becuse the ribs by thwm self were just as amazing as with the house made BBQ sauce. Another customer had the rib tips and said they were perfect. We will be back to try the brisket next!

I am from out of town but frequently come ot the area for work. No trip is complete without a stop at Firehouse BBQ. I have had nearly everything on the menu and it has all been awesome. Some of the best BBQ meats and sides Ive ever had. This place is definately a hidden gem in the area. The staff is always very freindly and makes sure you are satisfied. The added bonus is that this is locally owned establishment, I would pick these guys over a chain any day of the week.

The pulled pork had a lot if fat on it and the cole slaw was room temperature. My sandwich was lukewarm with a hot bun. The sauce was pretty good...sweet and tangy. Service was good and price was decent for portion size. Establishment appeared clean although the fountain soda machine could use some maintaining as it leaked all over the place while dispensing flat soda.

First off the staff were great! Very social and friendly. For my meal I tried rib tips and brisket combo with mac-n-cheese and cole slaw. Nice portion of meat - only could eat half - the brisket was really good but the rib tips were just ok. The slaw was really plain but the mac-n-cheese was nice and cheesy! Looking forward to trying more

Really solid place. I have stopped by three times this month; the pork and brisket are awesome, as is the Mac and Cheese. I would recommend stopping by for the food alone. Ascetically, its ehh.. looks like it belongs in North Minneapolis. Its just boring. Luckily there is a TV in there so you have something to look at.

This place is amazing. The price is just right for the amount of time and care given towards the food. Portions are good. Beef brisket was on point! The mac n cheese hit the spot real good. They have hmong pepper too for you pepper lovers. Left me in a good food coma. Will definitely stop by again when around the area.

This might be the best barbecue Ive had in the Twin Cities. The brisket is tender, flavorful, smoky and juicy. The rib tips had the perfect bite and tasted excellent with or without the sauce. We and had flavorful mac and cheese, delicious potato salad and solid sweet potatoes that needed a little bit of salt.

Delicious BBQ. Great brisket and rib tips. Simple no-nonsense sauce. Great sides as well. 1 piece of advice. Season your fries! Salt only is fine for some but serve with vinegar and create a nice dipping sauce for them. They feel very basic considering the quality of flavor of your other offerings.

Outstanding ribs and brisket. The ribs are tender and very flavorful. You will not be disappointed. The brisket has a nice mild smome flavour that perfectly compliment the strong natural flavours of a good brisket cut. The BBQ sauce is on the sweeter side but finishes with a distinct southern BBQ taste.

Biked here with my girlfriend and we were hoping the reviews would not disappoint. The food was ok, luke warm at best and the rib tips were more tips of bone than any meat. The dining area is not very clean either as the table tops felt like they had a layer of scum on them.

The only place I would go for BBQ food. It beats any chain of restaurants in town and it support local business. Theyre meat are to die for and their sides are amazing! Definitely try out their wings and pork ribs. Ask for pepper on the side, itll give you a kick.

The best brisket north of New Braunfels and I aint kidding. Ribs and tips are good. Firebox Fries are a guilty pleasure and Firebox Feast will feed 7-8. Only BBQ joint in the world that offers sticky rice.

Fantastic! We dont have much for decent BBQ in the Twin Cities, and this isnt comparable to some Ive had in KC and elsewhere, but it is absolutely the best Ive had here and still damn good overall.
