Most people who write these reviews are amateur beer drinkers, the people who meet up once a month to share one or two beers. Me! Now im an avid regular beer drinker. Most people who write these reviews lose all credibility when they rate places based off of what board games the brewery has on hand or how "cozy" the atmosphere is or how easy parking was. Now me, my review is based off of only the beer. Now most mn breweries are amateurs with mom and dads money, they are pursuing a fantasy rather than trying to showcase passion in their beer like good brewers do. Lake street is clearly not the rich kids story, the place is in a rented location, its not some rehabbed warehouse. But the beer is definitely amateur, dont get me wrong its drinkable. But its not worth taking home in a growler or going out of your way to get to. They lack the knowledge for quality and authenticity. But in time if the passion permiates it will show in the beer and i will try them again next season and write a new review if needed. Until then, stay thirsty and drink local. And atleast try e.lake brewery. It just might tickle your fancy...

Really enjoy coming here. Lots of place to sit and enjoy a beer. The beer is really good as well. It makes for a great combination. You can spend a lot of time, maybe too much time, enjoying yourself. The bartenders here are a great bunch to be served by. They come across as friendly and relaxed behind the bar. It always helps with the enjoyment when the employees seem to really love what they do, or maybe its just my preference. Check out the Monday nights for some metal with your mood. Seriously though, check this place out!

Pretty great service, but I should have asked if I could build my own flight. I tend to not like IPAs, and like many craft places, they have several. So while Im super glad I was "forced" to try the one that is part of the Light Flight, I wish I had been able to try my own faves. I guess that just means I need to come back. The merch was also well priced for the quality, I just really should NOT be buying more Beer T-shirts.

The Beer is flat: I really want to give you guys 5 stars, but your beer needs more carbonation. Ive been drinking your beer periodically for at least a couple years or so, and its consistently lacking carbonation. Whether I get directly from the brewery or bottled, its pretty flat. I poured another beer today straight down into the glass and still could hardly get any head. Please consider, than you!

Eastlake is a great little brewery in the Midtown Global Market. I had the Nicollet Mauler, their Black IPA, and it was delicious. There are also quite a few little restaurants in the market area, which is great for some food and a few beers! The bartenders were friendly, and the area has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out Eastlake Brewery!

Good selection of IPAs, and sour/Gose style beers. All the beers were solid, but the best was their Sun Dogs IPA. Staff was helpful, but definitely preoccupied much of the time. Being able to get food delivered from the restaurants in the Midtown Global Market (and some even put on your bar tab) is definitely a huge plus.

Only brewery near midtown, very popular with cyclists coming off the Greenway so if youre in to that this place gets 6 stars...if youre not into that, you should probably be a hipster. Worth a stop for the rest of us, extra points if you tie one on in the afternoon and wander the global market.

Although none of their brews stuck out as a favorite, I would highly recommend IPA lovers check out this brewery. Their beer is very well crafted and dynamic. Lots of good flavors. We used a Groupon for a flight and full beer each.
