I have been to Crave at the West End numerous times and had wonderful experiences every time (prompt seating, service, food was good). This past weekend I went to Crave at the Galleria for brunch with a friend and from the moment I stepped foot at the hostess desk, I knew it was going to be a bad experience. Very unfriendly staff with a chip on their shoulder, sat us in the back corner by a table with unruly children when many other tables were open. Server seemed to be nice at first, but then went down hill once we ordered. She never checked back with us to see if everything was OK and correct and it wasnt until our plates were cleared from the table that she came back to get our glasses to refill both water and soda (then she forgot what we were even drinking). Hostess kept walking by and glaring at us, server rolled her eyes when asked to separate the bill by what each of us order and not just "split" the bill in half. If you like snooty and uppity service and people I would say go for it at Edina; otherwise, I would definitely recommend heading to West End where you will have better service and experience overall.

I went here for my friends 30th b-day. I was NOT impressed. My friend and another friend of ours had been here a couple of times and thought it was descent. However this time- nobody was pleased. The sushi was about the quality of your basic chain supermarket. The pasta dishes were flavorless. The fish dishes were pretty good, I will give them that. Our server was HORRIBLE. Having served in College I expect good service, but am very compassionate towards servers who do their best but due to other circumstances have some troubles. However, this server was not good and didnt try to be good. She spilled a beer one one of the gentlemen with us, didnt apologize or comp his beer, in fact when the bill came she charged him $2 more! We had appetizers which were pretty good. Desserts, another story-- DONT order the grilled Pound Cake is all I can say. I could go on and on, but will just say if you consider yourself a Foodie like I do and take pleasure in the dining experience DO NOT go here. Go somewhere where they have the Service side more figured out and the price of the food is worth your money.

This restaurant is overrated. For a more "high end" type of restaurant, i expected way more out of them. Customer service sucked. We got there before 6pm and was not offered the happy hour menu. After our waitress took our appetizer order but she did not return in a timely manner. Our calamari, after I saw sitting on the counter for a while, was brought to us by some other person; calamari was barely decent but not worth it for the price (if you want good and cheaper calamari, go to village wok). She was probably waiting for happy hour to end long before returning to us. I ordered the thai shrimp curry and goat meatballs dish. The rice on the curry was so mushy that I could not eat it; cheesecakes factorys curry is so much better! Anyways, the food portion was so small for the price. For my birthday, should have gone to cheesecake factory instead. Will not return to such a crappy place!

Service was fine, however I will not be returning and would advise anyone with a legitimate gluten sensitivity to avoid this restaurant. I was pleased with all the selections on their gluten free menu and promptly ordered the truffle fries from it. A few minutes later the manager came out and explained that the fries werent actually gluten free, despite being on the gluten free menu. I had specified with the waitress that my gluten free pasta should be handled with care due to Celiac Disease, yet it came out with a wheat bread stick right on top. Waitress apologized and took it to be remade (due to cross contamination), but returned just minutes later and I fear they only took away the bread stick and did not remake as promised. The gluten-eaters at the table seemed to enjoy their food, but I have no confidence that this is a safe option for those with gluten sensitivity.

Horrible experience! Our server didnt introduce herself, ask why we were there (two birthdays) or really communicate at all with us. She would only bring two beverages at a time to our 8 top. We ordered sushi for an appitizer, about 45 min later we asked another server to check on our apps. Our sushi was warm, and tasted like it sat in the window for quite some time, the rest of our food came out along with our appitizerz. Most of the dishes were cold but by now we just wanted to leave. The manager was kind enough to take $10 off each couples meals, but no one even acknowledged what had happened. I have worked in the industry and understand that stuff comes up, but at least apologize to the table or give them an explanation. I was an avid diner but we are never going to this restaurant again.

We were sat at the smallest table in the place with not even enough room to sit across the table from each other. When I politely asked the waitress to bring the truffle fries I had ordered instead of the regular fries they served me, she returned and told me to make room and barked at me to move my phone as I was clearing my drink out of the way with no apology for their own mistake. I informed the manager of her rudeness with no action taken. I then posted a review on Facebook with the promise of a coupon to return for better service, and then that didnt come until I informed one of the corporate employees. Subpar service on every level for a restaurant with higher end prices. I will never go back to any of the Crave restaurants.

As others have said, decent food but terrible service. My husband and I went there tonight for what we hoped would be a nice anniversary dinner. We waited 20 minutes for our waiter to finally take our order, and then some other server ended up taking it. I ordered a second drink and our waiter completely forgot about it. He did end up comping my drink, but we overheard him fixing a lot of other mistakes at his tables around us. Not sure if it was an off night for him, but it just felt like we were completely ignored. Had we not had a gift card I probably would have been more upset over the cost of dinner and lack of service. We wont be back. There are better options in the area.

Im not sure why this place always acts so snobbish. We make a reservation and then get seated in the sunporch area with the sun right in 2 of our partys eyes. The floor is full of cracker and my seat as well, they carry a table over the top of us to seat a larger group that wasnt there yet or even after we left. My husband had a very greasy Mardi gras chicken, my daughter and her husband had very fatty grisly lemon chicken and I had rather dry chicken rosa something or other. Service was barely there. You pay 20-$25 a plate and that is all you get--no bread no salad no nothing. I dont think Ill bother again and so wont make use of your emails or club.
