I will never come here again. Im not usually picky with food or service but it was awful. I ordered a country fried steak with hash browns eggs and toast and my girlfriend ordered a waffle with eggs bacon and toast. To start the country fried steak was hard as a rock and tasteless. One of my eggs were broke and i asked for crispy hash browns, I got regular ones. My girlfriends eggs were broke as well and they still served them to her. We requested new ones. She also asked for soft bacon. What we got was extra crispy if you ask me. Her waffle was good though. The waitress only came around once to top off my coffee and then for the egg we complained about. Other then that she only came back to drop the check. Coffee was pretty bland as well. I was pretty upset that their cooks would purposely put broken eggs in the window and our requests werent made. Its as if they didnt even look at the ticket! It wasnt even very busy either, so there is no excuse for this experience. Hope this helps.

If you like eating dinner in someones schizophrenic aunts living room this is the place for you. I honestly believe that there was a mentally ill woman walking around collecting dishes. She took my glass that I wasnt done with....not everyones...just mine. Like some weird voodoo thing. The waitress I believe was only half insane but on her meds as she seemed unsure if she should take out order. Very strange place. It was dusty and the restroom was like falling in the hole at Buffalo bills...I was looking for the basket and the lotion. I will never set foot in that place again. Very expensive the food was terrible and I feel like the hills have eyes.

What can you say about the Red Ox. It is an institution and woven into the fabric of Ham Lake. Succeeding generations of families have been dining. The food is basic but very well cooked and efficently served by the pleasant table staff. Plenty if jokes and banter can make it a home from home for regulars. It is not a fast food restaurant but the service is not slow but items are individually cooked. Have no hesitation in recommending it. Not too sure how suitable it for a romantic meal for two. However it is good for get togethers of family and friends.

Worst customer experience ever!!!!!! I went there a couple of days ago and we asked for Tabasco and the lady lectured us about how she needed to go on break still. Today I called in an order and they told me " well can it be a quick order, I need it to be quick youre messing up my visa machine" I made my order as usual and the lady was just absolutely rude to me. Every time this happens. Right on the menu it says CALL INS WELCOME!!!

I still remember it like it was yesterday I had my first Frosty bottle of Mountain Dew in the far back corner boots with my parents I never could get past the hot beef it was always so good . now that Im retired I have the c breakfast and coffee being single and usually eating alone I love sitting up front at the bar and talking with the waitresses its always a good time

Great food at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a diner that focuses on cooking tasty food instead of worrying about fancy looks, this is a great place for you. The interior of the restaurant is very functional and might actually really be from the 1960s. They are open early for breakfast. The only thing I dont like is that they close at 8pm.

Terrible over the phone customer service. Called to order, puts us on hold for 10 minutes while clearly hearing them talk in the background. Try to call back multiple times and line is busy.
