I ordered one order of Spicy wings and one order of Tuk Bok ki to go. I specifically told them no egg, no sugar, no meat. While I was picking up the food from the restaurant, I asked them again to make sure I got the right food(no meat, no sugar, no egg etc, they said big YES). For Tuk Bok Ki, they charged me 30 bucks. I was so wondering why it costs so much and asked them too, They said it costs 30 bucks. I went home after paying them 44 bucks for 6 wings and one order of Tuk Bok Ki, As soon as I opened the lunch bag, I see two orders of Tuk Bok Ki and 6 wings. I tried a wings. It is the sweetest wing I tasted in USA. It is funny that they say it is spicy wings. I opened Tuk Bok Ki, and noticed something strange in there and called them to make sure it is not meat. They said there is no meat in it. I started earing and I could not complete even a spoon as I smelled meat. I drove again for 20 miles to the restaurant to the left over food and askend them, what the while triangular thing is in the curry, they said it is fish. I told them I wanted food without meat in it. They said, fish is not meat. I ready got my doubts when fish is meat or vegeratian. I gave them the food and asked them to trash it and came back home. They did not even bother to offer for a refund. Their answers were rude about fish and meat thing. I had eaten in 1000s of restaurants in my life and this is the worst food ever. I do not recommend even my enemies to eat food in this restaurant. Please go a burger place to eat better lunch. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER even if this is the only restuarant left in this world.

I went to there to try Jajjangmen. The food taste was awful, I even couldnt finish my food. All side dishes came with main course were taste really bad. It looked like Korean food but taste was definitely not Korean. Seriously, I want to give Chef or whoever cook food there. first, you should not serve noodle with metal chopstick, jajjangmen noodle is slimy, its really pain to pick noodle with those cheap metal chopstick, consider serving with wooden chopstick. second, do not use instant jjajang source, when I taste the food I noticed that you used instant jjajang paste and the jajjang paste was even overcooked, taste like burned ashes. It was even taste worse than instant jjajang paste. Third, the jjajang noddles texture was like rubber string. That is not the noodle for jjajang. You need to research what a real Korean style Jjajang noodle is before put that thing in your menu. Fourth, improve side dish quality, I was shock that all of side dishes are not even close to low quality Korean food, when I tasted all of it, I started to think that Chef in the restaurant is not even Korean. Fifth, If your food quality is that low, you better tag food price down. I pay like 9.xx for the food, including tip and tex, total price was nearly $15, which means it is super expensive for the quality of the food. I dont think im going back again there, but.. I just want to write review because I am really big disappointed. I just want to say that whoever considering Korean authentic food for the meal, do not go this place. you will be disappointed big time unless your tongue is numb.

Second dining experience here at Hoban. Actually quite a far drive for us to come enjoy dinner but there isnt a large selection of Korean cuisines in Minnesota. For me that would be Kings in Fridley. I had recently come back to Hoban well over a year since Ive last visited. Came after we went to the Eagan Outlet Mall conveniently located just 3 minutes away. Now the wait around 6:30 was about a 45 minute wait which was fine we actually came back around 7 just to make sure we werent going to be seated behind someone new and just so happens it was our turn. The atmosphere is great and the service was amazing. When you talk about attention they gave our table of 2 a great deal of it. We had ordered 2 dishes the Bulgogi and the Tteokbokki about $12 and $29 respectively. Food was quick, I was oddly a little disappointed that the menu had stated the Tteokbokki was only for 2 and literally could feed 6-8 it was massive. Came with you normal Korean side dishes along with a small bowl of rice. Since we couldnt finish all of it we had to pack it to go. I truly wish though at this point that service would have packed it for me. Instead I stood up struggling for 5 minutes trying to get everything in a plastic bowl. Atmosphere: 5 it was nice homey and not rushed Service: 4 They were attentive and came to our table several times throughout the night Food Quality: 5 Amazing Cleanliness: 5 Not bad Price $43 before tip. Stars 5. Will be back!

Ive been to Hoban a few times and have always had good and adequate service. I enjoy the Chicken Bulgogi and Dolsot Bibimbop in particular, but this time I am soooo hurt and disappointed by the lack of service I received. Your establishment was not busy at all and I sat around for 15 plus minutes waiting for someone to come take my order. There were only 3 other booths filled with people at the time. The place was very quiet and workers were leisurely wiping off tables. I watched as other customers walked in, sat in the booth next to me, and get served before me even though I was patiently waiting. You then walked passed me and continued to clean tables and talk to your coworkers not noticing me staring blankly around in hunger. I was sitting close to the register where most people were gathered so I do not think I was that invisible? I even saw what looked like a manager at the front desk and even she did not notice me sitting waiting to put in an order. I am hurt Hoban. I do not know what happened but I am not as excited about your place as I used to be. I hope in the future you treat other customers better.

The Hoban is one of the best Korean restaurants in the USA! I have travelled in Korea and have a Korean girlfriend. We both love this place: an extensive menu with something for everybody, always fresh ingredients, and excellent service by a friendly staff. DONT MISS THE HOBAN! Its close to the Mall of America and a real treat for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, the Hoban has been victimized recently by some scumbags who order (sometimes double order), eat it all, then go to check out and say the food was bad and refuse to pay. These same clowns then write a bad review of the Hoban! This all began when a couple lvisited three times and each time left no tip. Their waitress politely asked if there was a problem. The man looked down, clearly embarrassed, and said the service was bad. Then the "bad service" reviews started coming in. Ignore these one star "reviews" by these pathetic psychopathic twitts. Come to the Hoban for great food, lots of it, and good service.

Usually when My bf and i go to hoban its not that bad. the food is great. But their service is terrible. Every time we go the service is bad. they never come back and ask if we need anything. And they didnt bring us the check. We waited for 30 minutes until we finally went up to pay. And we didnt leave a tip because of the bad service and the waiter came after us and said "excuse me you didnt leave a tip on the table or anything was the service bad?" and I said yes the service was bad. and she stormed off and said "whatever" what kind of service is that. Thats exactly why we didnt give her tip. She didnt deserve it at all. running after your customers because you didnt receive tip and then giving them an attitude. Not planning on going there anymore.
