I worked as a barista for years, and understand that there is inevitable variability between different workers skills at making coffee. However, after finding that the Brainerd Caribou is one of the THE most inconsistent coffee shops Ive ever been to, Ive had to stop going. The same drink will taste great one day, the espresso will have been burned the next, and the next day (such as this morning, when I had to throw my drink away), it will be purely inedible. I highly recommend that if youre a fan of Caribou Coffee you drive the distance to the Baxter location on Hwy 371. Ive ordered coffee from both about the same amount of times and have always been pleased with Baxter. Brainerd, however, needs work on consistency.

What a joke. I was 5 minutes early. So I waited. Lady came to open door, I walk in to register and manager comes out and says we are closed. Huh? OK what time do you open? 630 she says. I Said Your CLOCK On The Wall Says 632. She said ya but my machines say 625. So we are closed and than said the door should be locked. WOW! Really? Ive been coming here every Friday for 6 months!

Person making coffee was cleaning shelves then put rag down and made 3 coffees. No washing of hands. Needless to say when I left I threw my coffee away. 2nd young gal whipping down front counters dropping her tag, picked it up and continue to whip down. This is the first time I came in to use your stores internet and spent. 8.00. most likely wont be back

Over the years I have become less and less impressed by Caribou. When I first came to Minnesota it was novel and I really liked it. The coffee now though seems second rate. That said, they have other beverages that are fantastic.

I have been loyal to this Caribou for nearly 5 years. Because of the amazing staff here, it makes it hard to go to any other location. My drink is already done by the time I get to the register.
