Disappointed. A member of our group had contacted your facility to see if you would be able to accommodate our group. They were told yes but might be separate tables. When we arrive we were only able to get part of our group in and the rest of group was turned away. YOUR facility had lots of open tables. Part of our group have disabilities and difficult they were not up to walking all around to find a place so we did have dinner here. This was ok but nothing to rave about. My food was so over marinated I couldnt taste the entree, part of meal was not delivered properly and we had to ask for one of the drinks to be delivered once meal arrived as the common mistake was made here. Part of our group had travelled from out of town for a relatives military retirement ceremony and as a result we were split up. The rest of our group was turned away when they arrived. When we were leaving we asked why they couldnt have accommodated the rest of our group when the restaurant is half empty. We were told because the kitchen is not able to manage more. We explained that we still do not understand, I have 10 years of restaurant experience and we would never turn away a paying customer and I was handed a business card. The card is even outdated as the name on card isnt the same as the name on outgoing message when I called. Overall very disappointed with this experience.

I can only go off of the breakfast/brunch, but it was really friggin good. My experience started off a little rough, but the manager made up for it. When I got in the bartender was nowhere to be found and it took me awhile to figure out where to sit, if I could sit down at all, or if I needed to see the hostess, so I was kind of wandering around like a ship without a port (annoying). I forget what I had, but it had some poached eggs and briscuit in it. I saw them making it in the back and I knew by the time it took to make the eggs, that the cooks over cooked them. Of course when I cut into them, no running yolk, totally cooked through. So at this point I was mildly irritated, and told the bartender that it was not to my liking and Id like them to remake it. They did that, and the manager came out and comped my meal plus a drink - plus it was made to perfection on the second go-round. So although there was some problems with the service, I think they handled it correctly, and the food was seriously delicious, so I give a four stars (could have been five). Unfortunately its like almost every Hotel restaurant Ive ever been to; the service is just not always as good as a standard restaurant... Again I think its really good food, good atmosphere, and everything else, so if youre asking me, I say check it out - I just may have had a one time bad experience.

We were at Fire Lake for Breakfast on Sunday, Mothers Day. Our waiters name was Rick. Rick was able to answer all questions we had with confidence. Because of the knowledge Rick displayed we ordered our breakfast with full knowledge of the ingredients. Our expectations were exceeded! Rick is the best! Aside from being menu knowledgable, he has a super sense of humor and sincere people skills. Rick read each of our personalities perfectly. We all loved him! Thanks for the great food, great service and for making each of us ladies laugh, have a great time, and feel very beautiful. He even took a moment to brief us on how great the dinner menu is, and we all plan on checking out his recommendations. He went over and above our expectation as a server. Well done, Rick!

I wasnt expecting much from a restaurant located in a hotel at the Mall of America, but I was more then surprised at what I experienced at Firelake. The decor and atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was better than I expected. The service started off a little poorly, as some of our items didnt come out correctly, or at all. But our server more than made up for it...by not charging us for ANY of the food. In the end, what should have been well over $500 for our party turned out to be about $100. Needless to say we left a hefty tip, and a big smile to boot.

Had the Salmon, it was very good-to great, but ... Overpriced. Then got credit card statement- they charged me twice! Rather than take care of it, the manager blew me off, making up a story to get rid of me. I had to call my credit card company and file a dispute to fix the issue. I dont pay close attention to my cc bill, just happened to notice as transactions were adjacent. While people/systems make mistakes, the managers expedience/attitude clearly wasnt a mistake. Lots of other places to eat, most charge less, just about all would treat you better.

Had a great experience today! After a misunderstanding with the beginning of restaurant week, we were treated to a wonderful brunch. I cannot say enough about how perfect the situation was handled by Management (Yulia I believe). The resolution was above and beyond expectation. Plus, the brunch menu is killer and the food was well executed! Definitely a new brunch spot for us, we will be back! Thank you Firelake Grill!

The restaurant is beautiful and the food was fantastic. Our server, Joe, was super nice and helpful to offer suggestions on his favorite meals. When it is just my daughter and I dining together, I often feel like the service is lacking. This was not the case here, he was very attentive and made her feel very welcome and important. The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

Had dinner here with a large group of family (two packed big tables) who had all come in for a funeral. Everyone had a delicious meal and service was on point. Being from WI, I had to try the Perch Fish Fry to compare across states and it was delectable. I am glad I was not paying the bill. Pricing is very high, (no one ordered the $80 steak on the menu) but probably worth every bite.

Excellent environment in the bar area. Good service. Very high quality food and drinks. Lots of locally sourced options! Very impressive gourmet menu. Bison Bone Marrow wash very good, but left me a little hungry when combined with only one beer. Half roti chicken was very good as well. I would certainly go back a third time.

You cant beat their Sunday happy hour deal in the bar. Choose one of their three usual burgers (beef, bison, turkey) complete with fixings and fries. Add a 12oz tap beer (including local brews). $12.00 plus tax and tip. Justin tended bar for us, going above and beyond. If you are at the MOA on a Sunday, stop in here for lunch.

All around a great experience. Service was capable and attentive. We had Bison bone marrow for starters and our entrees were the Crusted walleye and Duck Gnudi and finished the evening with the choclate bread pudding. The quality and preparation of the food was exceptional. I cannot recall the last time we cleaned out plates.

Had a wonderful experience. Our breakfast itself was very good and the service was excellent. Our server, Katie, went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, even with a small child. She made sure all our needs were met quickly and was very sweet to my daughter. We appreciate that sort of hospitality and will be back!
