Holiday Cocktails! One of my favorite places for holiday drinks is at The Bar, located in the Peninsula Hotel on Chicagos Gold Coast. Their fireplace, gorgeous decorations, and friendly staff make for a festive time. Friends and I stopped by after shopping on Black Friday last year. Order a Sidecar and enjoy the fireplace on a cool day.

It was louder than I expected. After the cocktail crowd started to clear conversations became easier. Then we could begin to enjoy the ambiance. The dim sum was bland. I agree with the comments about more comfortable furniture.

Awesome martinis and three kinds of olives. Swanky atmosphere and tasty bar snacks, served complimentary with your order. Friendly and attentive bar staff. Pretty much the ultimate hotel bar.

Always spot on, and some of the best bar snacks in the city! Perfect for dates, pre-dinner, post-dinner, before or after the theater. Go for the martinis stay for the great lighting.
