For 15 years, EB has been a Dueling Piano Bar where people know adult humor is often used (because adults never rape each other, only adolescents do that). We never allow language that is mean or hurtful, but sometimes lines do get crossed and people get offended (and it didnt occur to us that promoting rape culture was hurtful or crossing the line, therefore, we allowed it). When this happens, we try to quickly apologize (and then delete that apology later) and see what we can do to fix the situation (we ignore it). This evidently happened last night and we simply want to offer our apologies (and will be deleting it shortly) and reiterate that the comments posted by a customer were not to be taken seriously (the same way black face was about humor, amiright?!). We will continue to monitor our parameters of what language is allowable (were sending in applications to Trumps cabinet) so that the envelope can be pushed without causing serious offense (because frankly, we dont take this seriously). By the way, this one star review is not to be taken seriously and is "adult humor." If this offends anyone, I will promptly put up an apology here and then quickly delete it, as per Ernie Biggs protocol.

The outside of Ernie Biggs is no indication as to what the inside is like. Although not in the downtown area, this is a great bar to go and meet up with friends at! There are drink specials on Wednesdays (i.e. $1 Wells drinks), so its not a costly night out. Only note on the drink specials is that they are smaller than average - everything that I was served came in a 12 oz Dixie cups, and this includes shots of liquor. The layout is pretty nice, since there is a smoking bar area, the main bar by the pianos, tables throughout the venue and a dance floor upstairs. If you arent into live music, dont go here. It *is* a dueling piano bar, after all. You have to pay a cover fee to get in ($5), which I found strange if that is the main attraction of this bar. Even if you like live music, like me, dont sit right next to the musicians, because then you will be unable to carry on any conversation whatsoever. If youre looking for a laid back place to meet up with some friends for decent drinks, try Ernie Biggs.

A few years ago, in my town, an employee at Taco Bell wrote pig on the wrapper of a burrito that was given to a police officer in the drive through. The backlash was immediate and the employee lost their job. People from all over the county got on Google and gave the Taco Bell a one star review because it made news in other parts of the country, too. We shouldnt have to explain why this isnt funny. We shouldnt have to settle for a half-assed apology that gets deleted because it was so poorly thought out and written that it ended up being offensive along with their original "joke". This is unacceptable. The Taco Bell employee thought it was a "joke". The business suffered, the employee was fired. I hate to see people lose their job or a local business to close their doors, but this place obviously has a history of disrespecting its patrons. I would like to think we could come together as a community and show or displeasure. Money talks, ya know?

Was here in Wichita on vacation. Called during the afternoon to ask about availability — goes to voicemail after about 30 seconds of ringing, with a request that I use their website. Their website, meanwhile, is a complete mess. Reviewed their entire website, which says they start at 8:30 or 9pm, depending on the page youre on. Submitted a form in "online reservation." Upon arriving at 8:15, we found that the show had already started and were informed that same-day reservations are prohibited, but we were told (somewhat rudely) that we could still pay the $5 cover and sit in a nearby room and just listen. No thanks. As we request yet another Uber, I daydreamed of ways to make them pay for our first ride here, as a rendition of "In The Air Tonight" is thrown together in the background that would bring Phil Collins to tears (and not the good kind). I dont envision myself trying this spot again.

Its really expensive and crowded. They change the price of things everytime I go in there (except for their $7 drinks). I went there for my Bachelorette party and we ordered a round of shots that were $3.00 each. Now those same shots are $6.50 (very small and not worth it) each and we werent aware. The waitress didnt bring our receipt and I had the money. I said theyre $3 right? She said yea I think Ill go get the receipt came back and had a receipt for $6.50 each. All they care about is making money and will do whatever they need to, to get it. I personally feel like they are dishonest greedy people and wont be going back.

The entertainment and atmosphere were great but the service was horrible and dishonest. The first drinks were normal, but the second rum and coke my husband ordered was just coke. Then my rum and pineapple was just pineapple. Continued for another round then we decided not order drinks anymore and just have water. When we closed out our ticket, they charged us Crown Royal when we just ordered house rum. Doubled our tab for drinks I suspect had no liquor in them. When I mentioned it they just stared at me. If we go back we wont be ordering anything.

I went to Ernie Biggs in Wichita this past Friday night. Bartender was slow with no bar back. They had about half a dozen girls doing tables. None approached ours until we had drinks in our hands. There was one security guy that was cleaning glasses. The bar was dead for a Friday night, which probably wouldnt help the situation. Lastly, they need to get rid of the upstairs dance floor. I went up there to check it out. It was literally 3 women on the dance floor wearing cocktail dresses with a dozen guys just watching them. Creeperville!

My first dueling piano bar. Went for Wednesdays well drink night. They are super tough on out of staters. I was at the door for a good 2 minutes while the doorman inspected and folded my ID back and forth. He was hesitant to let myself and friend in. If you are from Ohio, be prepared to bring a second form. Well drinks were mixed well and had an honest amount of booze in them for $1. It started off pretty empty bit around 9pm the crowd started to pick up. Will definitely go back.

Drinks cost way too much. At least 7 dollars per drink. Such a rip off. Alcohol concentration was so low couldnt feel anything. Not coming here again for sure. At the end they charged us for leaning on rail outside and supposedly breaking it. Charged us a bunch of money saying they caught us on camera. Bunch of BS. I recommend going somewhere else. Service was below average and singers/performers were mediocre. Definitely not worth the expensive cover to get in as well.

Every time we come, they tell us a different story about their cover charge. Either its $5 since 7pm, or no cover until 10pm, or $10 after 9pm... They can never keep their story straight. Their loss, thats $10 I wouldve spent on drinks and tips, but because of the run around I will instead take my business elsewhere.
