Fantastic food and Im a long time customer, so it displeases me to write this and I cannot stand places that do this. I live only 5 min away. Hong thai closes at 9pm. The other night, I placed an order for pick up at 8:30 and they said close at 8:45 and Id have to be there by then. I found it a little odd, but I immediately picked it up and there was no issue. Tonight, I just tried doing the same at 8:30 and the guy says "were closed." I inquired about their hours being open until 9pm and he changes it to, "The kitchen closes at 8:30pm." I get people who order at the last second before you close to be annoying, but it was 30 minutes. What would you do if I had walked in there in person? If you say youre open until 9pm, then serve until 9pm. Extremely unprofessional.

This is the best Thai restaurant Ive seen in Minnesota so far. I ordered the Panang which is very flavorful, but a bit on the salty side. The banana and ice cream dessert on the menu is to die for, but they dont sell it anymore. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, as was the floors and tables. The waitress was highly ambitious to provide good service to the visitors. They do provide television entertainment to the guests. The main drawback that takes awat a star, if not two, was lack of free wifi. They have two wifi hotspots with their name on them, but when asked for the password, they were only for the manager to use, so I was disappointed over that. I didnt get my podcast to listen to that day on the road.

My family was visiting over 4th of July weekend and wanted to try it out (there are no Thai restaurants where they live). They seemed short staffed as there was only one younger gal waitressing. Our food took a little longer than we would have liked, but we were all very satisfied when it arrived! I dont remember our waitresses name, but she was awesome! So helpful and sweet and did her best to be sure we had everything needed. She definitely had a lot of responsibility to herself that day, but she handled it with poise. Waiting on 5+ tables, taking orders, getting drinks, bringing out food, answering phone and taking call in orders. All-around GREAT customer service~this gal deserves a raise! :)

I had never had Thai food before I went. The owners daughter waited on me. She was knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find something I would enjoy. I had the Pad Thai and wontons as an appetizer. The wontons were delicious, they were served with sweet and sour which was some of the best Ive ever had. The Pad Thai was served with fried peanuts on the side. Im not a huge fan of peanuts so I hardly used any but when I got a piece it overpowered the rest of the dish. The Pad Thai was pretty good. The flavors blended together so that there was no real variation of flavor with each bite. I will definitely be back for more.

If anyone is looking for a great hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant...we found it! We have been there 3 times in the past few weeks and each time the owner notices and comes over the talk to us. He recommends new dishes to try and figures out how you like it and it is always great. Last night we were talking about different ways to make Pad Thai and he actually took us back in the kitchen to show us the woks and the differences in them from restaurant to restaurant. Plus, the kitchen was spotless. I am a kitchen snob and a clean kitchen is a big deal!

1 star (should be 0 star but they dont have that option) for the food: pad Thai, rice noodle soup ( taste like from ramen noodle box that you buy in store), fried rice, chicken wing had to much sugar, this place will close if they out of sugar. Just basic soy sauce taste like liquid mix with black color, price cost more than other place (Exanple: 2 spring roll $5, other place around $3.75, and it taste horrible). Also the place wasnt clean at all, table and chair are sticky and done had food left over.

The food wasnt out of this world, but better than mediocre. Egg rolls tasted pretty good, but were really greasy. The ambiance is quiet which I really like, and the waitress was very polite and friendly. Cleanliness-wise, it looked neat, the tables were all clean, and so were the floors. If I had to recommend anything for improvement, it would be slightly dimmer lights, and perhaps a few more decorations for aesthetic appeal.

Sadly, although this restaurant appeared to have many good reviews it was not worth the time or the money. We felt like we were at a cheap Chinese food restaurant, rather than a Thai food restaurant. The only thing remotely tasty were the appetizers, which obviously came from a bag of prepared frozen goods! We attempted to order fresh spring rolls, but they didnt have any available. Oh well. At least the staff was friendly.

Ambience is nice, appetizer satay skewers were average, but Pad Woon Sen was the worst I have ever eaten. I was hard pressed to find a forkful of noodles in the entire dish, which is a noodle dish, by the way. It was also quite salty and had a weird smoky flavor, reminding me of chipotle chiles. Very disappointing dining experience. My husband ordered Leb es an which was okay, but nothing to write home about.

My husband and I frequent this restaraunt 4-5 times a year and it is way above average given the choices in this area. Try their shrimp pad thai, and their Spring Rolls, both to die for! Of all the times we have been there, we have had terrible service once (to the point of ordering, waiting forever, and leaving with empty stomaches). Have been there since and havent suffered like that again.

My first time there today. When I walked in for dinner with my husbanf, the place was empty. We were greeted by the waitress who gave us water right away. She was nice and friendly. The food was great. Although we only ordered 2 dishes and one appetizer, the food was still good and the place deserve a good r3view. Will go again

QUALITY food. When I eat at this place I feel like Im eating real food, not some cheap frozen stuff. Ive been looking for good Thai food for a while and Ive finally found it. You dont have to wait 10 minutes before someone acknowledges you, the staff is also friendly and they service you as soon as you enter.

I agree that the food is pretty good for this area, but I ordered sesame chicken, pork friend rice and egg rolls, thinking that $26.00 of food would be plenty for 2 people... Sadly I was wrong. Our meals did not even fill half of a standard Corelle plate. $26 is an awful lot of money for one plate of food.

Given the area ( albertville in wright county) they are the best Thai food. 5 stars, have never had anything on the menu that isnt good. Pad Thai is top notch! They have some very good dishes that are always very fresh and well prepared. Better than average spice. Egg rolls are awesome.

We ordered an appetizer won tons which were ok. But they dropped off the appetizer and walked away without giving us any napkins! Our entree then came but no utensils and no rice...5 minutes later they finally showed up with utensils and rice. Terrible service. My glass was dirty.
