My husband (who is asian and used to work in a sushi bar) and myself went to the new location in pierre bossier mall and it was really good. So today we decided to go to the youree drive location and it has to be one of the worst experiences i have had in a long time. When we arrived we were told to sit at any table which look unappealing and badly made . While sitting waiting for our server looking around the restaurant it was dusty and looks like a mess. The server didnt know the menu very well and took ages to tell us if they had the appetizers we ordered. They didnt have one which they actually advertised on the outside of their building, they didnt have it on the menu or even in the restaurant. My dinner (which was sushi) came out before our appetizers and was warm and the server kept talking over my husband when he would ask for something. When my husband inquired why our dinner came before our appetizers the server made a bunch of excuses mainly resulting in saying that thats the way the restaurant runs...the sushi bar is faster than the kitchen. So after I had finished my dinner one appetizer arrived then 5 minutes later my husbands dinner and then the 2nd appetizer after that was accompanied by the bill when we hadnt even touched the food. To top it all off the entire time the server was listening to his ipod and not being attentive to his customers. Overall an awful experience!!

I am usually not one to complain over one bad experience. The floor manager and staff made this a little easier for me (- my expenses). I sit at the sushi bar alone at 9pm. I order a steak plate + a Call roll for dinner. My soup, salad, and sushi come out at the same time. TWO mins later my entree comes!!!!!! Well..... I'm gonna try to enjoy my pre-meal while I can right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! Wrong people!!!!!! Someone. (maybe the owner) decides to have an argument with the sushi chef right next to me while in trying to forget about this TRAIN WRECK. I finished mg soup, almost finished my Call roll, and asked my server to put my entree in a doggie bag.
One half hour later I called and asked for the floor manager. I explained everything above and the fact that I felt bad about not tipping the girls because of this. A $22.00 dinner for one person that I, nor anyone else could pOssibly enjoy because of the lack of TASTE. The manager says....."we hope the next time we can accommodate you better". I am a well educated man; I don't think I'll be giving them another chance. :--(

As a sushi addict, who has eaten Sushi all over the country, (including a 5 star restaurant in Los Angeles) I have quite a lot of experience for comparison. I cant say this is the best sushi I have ever had but in terms of fish quality and freshness it is comparable! They do not have the most creative presentation but the rolls are a very good size for the price (especially for sushi prices) and the combinations of ingredients is great. On the flip side, the service and ingredients used seem to vary greatly on a day to basis. This place is definitely worth a try but dont judge it on one visit alone. If youre looking for sushi in Shreveport this is by far your best bet.

I was there about a week ago. It was my first time at this location. My friend brought me and she did nothing but talk about how great it was on the way but I was nothing but disappointed. When we got there, it wasnt exactly busy but it took our waitress 10 minutes to greet us. Then another 5 to bring our drinks and soup with no spoons. She got an attitude when I asked for spoons. We ordered our food and everything seemed to be looking up until she brought our salads out to us while she was talking on the phone. I have never had a worse experience anywhere. Very disappointed.

I went one day with a friend for a late lunch and was looking forward to a spicy tuna roll. To start off the waitress did not even know what Nigiri was. I (the customer) had to explain this. A little rediculous to be working in a sushi restaurant and not know this term. I got this and it was good. However, my spicy tuna roll did not taste right. I normally eat all of the roll and want more, but I couldnt even finish this. The fish just didnt taste right. Stomach hurt after and later that night. Yeah, thanks Ichiban. Go to Tokyo Grill or Sake Sushi instead!!!

Ive been to lots of Japanese Restaurants in the area and Ichiban is pretty good. There was nothing horrible that could come from that place. The Chef hooked my girl and I up with some sea weed salad that tasted awesome. They even brought out all there different sauces so we could try. Even though we didnt stop through there much, they were kind and polite. Our server Jeremy was a nice guy. We talked lots about the food and things of that matter. All around, it put the cherry on the icing and a smile on our face for the ride home.

Ichiban offers some of the food from the other higher priced places in town and gets it to you fast for a lot less. Sushi is great and fresh. The atmosphere reminds more of a deli actually, as in you walk in and pick your own table most of the time. If its a busy lunch, they will direct you to a table. Not really a place to go for a romantic date, but hey, theres those other places.

This is my favorite place to eat! I have been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience. The Miso is delicious. The prices are extremely fair and the sushi is top notch. All the servers are always kind and smiling!

Foods are excellent , service are nice, prices are great, for a lunch quantities you get no where else for that price. The best i have seen so far, you sure dont get them in New Orleans where we came from. Great one!

Ichiban is by far my favourite place to go for sushi. Their hibachi grill isnt too shabby, either. The restaurant itself is cozy and comfortable, though the lack of space between tables can be an issue when its busy.

Soup and salad was not edible. We ordered the Maki sushi box. Everything in the box was delicious and well worth the price. The menu does not do a good job of explaining what each item is exactly. Waitress was nice

Place has been here since I was a child. Essentially the original Japanese joint in Shreveport. They have gradually made the menu to include more gringo rolls and teriyaki everything, but still a favorite in town.
