Maybe folks were having a bad day but their apathy and bad attitude almost made me have a bad day too! I called in my order whereby they quickly put me hold before I could even say I would hold. I waited about 5 to 6 minutes then was disconnected. I immediately called back and some woman answered but asked if I could hold again! Quickly, I protested that someone had hung up or disconnected me and I should not have to hold another 5 minutes. There was 7 seconds of silence on the other end then the person asked what I wanted in a very "putoff" tone. No "sorry you were disconnected", no nothing! Well, I put my order in (#36) and shared my name and number, whereby she promptly hung up spewing out that it would be about 20 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich, I asked if they were very busy today because I was hung up on and spoke with someone who had attitude. The man who took my credit card didnt seem to concerned about it either... he just said that hed check into it. No explanation or apology.. THEN, when I get back to work, I discovered that my sandwich was not as described on their online menu! I was looking for avocado and bean sprouts but that is not what I found. I called them back to tell them so and got more attitude! Now Im speaking to a woman who sounded put off that I had the audacity to call them about my sandwich. She questioned me about what was on it and told me that they dont do bean sprouts any more.....that now they just use lettuce. Well, I ordered the sandwich because of the bean sprouts for crying out loud!! And the avocado --well that was really just an avocado spread--and sparsely spread to boot! The sandwich was not as advertised. So, I got a quick "Im sorry" at the end of the phone conversation but no restitution or anything close to it.. To top off everything....the sandwich sucked! Well Troy Deli, Im sorry for the way you treat your customers, youve been in Troy for a long time; surely you can come better than that. If I ever return to your establishment, it will be because of the previous experience that I had there when ordering online. Service wasnt that great but you guys werent nearly as mean! I may give you the benefit of the doubt... maybe you all were just having a very bad day, despite the beautiful day it was outside. BTW, please, please update your online menu so that no one else will experience the bad service and wrong food descriptions that I encountered this afternoon. . . . .

Really good food, slowest deli in Troy. I waited 20 minutes after I had placed a simple order 30 minutes prior. It should not take 50 minutes to make two sandwiches. Furthermore, they told me "Itll be ready in 20 minutes". There are 6 people back there making sandwiches. There was almost no one in line. I worked in food service for 10 years and this is absolutely unacceptable. Wasted time when Im on my lunch break, which means money out of my pocket. Ill brown bag or go to any of the other very fast, efficient restaurants in the city.

Very good food (especially bread), definitely better than the other fast casual dining options in the area. I had a spicy turkey sandwich with chicken dumpling soup. The turkey sandwich was probably the best sandwich Ive had in months and the soup was solid but not outstanding. To be fair, nothing ever comes close to my grandmas chicken dumpling soup. Their bread is what will bring me back out. It had a mild crust, moist/soft interior with lots of flavor.

My favorite deli amazing selection amazing sandwiches. As well as great staff. Their menu is dauntingly large so much selection it can overwhelm for a couple mins. I have my custom favorite and mostly stick to it but everything is good. I love their parm bread and parm sauce. I make sure to get whatever sandwich on it.

This is by far my favorite deli in the area. I am a deli fanatic and travel all over SE detroit every day. The only other delis that are even in the same category are Als Diner on Woodward and a small Jewish Deli off NW Highway. This place has just amazing sandwiches - try the Wipeout on Focaccia bread (amazing).

We ordered a tray with less than hour notice and it was very good. Really good portion size, fresh bread, Red potato salad and coleslaw. They let us order sandwich for 16 people, red potato salad for 8, and coleslaw for 8. We had plenty of food left over and they were very nice.

Ordered a hot The Twist sandwhich for carry out; Had someone from the office pick it up for me and they just made it cold instead. Wasted my last $8 on a sandwhich I ended up throwing away because I didnt like it cold. Disappointed I didnt get it how I had order it.

Troy Deli is amazing! Ive been there around 5 times, and I usually get the tuna salad sandwich or chicken salad sandwich on foccaccia bread. Sandwiches are really big and prices are competitive. Best deal in the area.
