Overall had a bad experience!! When we walked in there was people all setting in one corner of the floor. When there was open seating all over. But we did not say anything about it we sat down are server gave us are menus. He took our order for are drinks and left. Then you had the busboy walking back and forth to the corner where his bin is. He bumps in to us matuble times nocks my fathers hat on to the ground and just kept walking!!! And again we said nothing are server comes back takes are order turns to leave and knocked my fathers hat off the char he picks it up and says sorry and puts it back on the char. we thanked him once he is gone we moved the hat to the bottom of the chair under the table so its safe. Now we have are food its great and we are watching the tv Xmoter cross or some thing then you have the busboy come up trying to change the channel we tell him no he looks at us the continus to change all the TVs to the super bowl buy now there are not as many customers and there are lots of TVs in there they all dont have to be on the same channel!!! So we finish eating our surver boxes are food for us we thank him then pay. Then you have the busboy again cleaning a large table that a party was at. He gathers all the drinks and starts to carry them by hand four to five cups in each hand to the corner past us he drops all the cups and gets pop all over my father his coat and on the hat again he walks away are surver comes over and asks if we want at towel and starts helping wipe pop off of are stuff.The manager never showed up to the table after the drinks were spilled. Not even a sorry from the bus boy. Also the place is way over staffed there were groups of three or four people just sitting around doing nothing!! Food was good but the service is why I will not go back.

Ive been coming to this pizzapapalis since it opened and the first few experiences were great. The food was delicious and the staff exceptional. However, every experience since has been worse than the prior. I started to call ahead to cut down on the wait but this last time I showed up and still waited an hour for a single small pizza. When the pizza arrived the server didnt bother putting the plate on the holster (no need it was cold). The veggies were mush, the crust was mush, and the cheese was hardened already. Its obvious that it had been done, set aside, and forgotten about until I questioned the server. Then they microwaved it real quick and brought it out hoping we wouldnt notice. If I wanted cold slimey pizza I would have ordered it. I really liked this place and Ill give it one more chance but thats it. Im not going to pay for restaurant style pizza and be served fast food.

I was looking to have great pizza dinner with my family, but was very disappointed. We ordered a thin crust pizza, half cheese and pepperoni and the other half with a few other toppings. The pizza was very dry and burnt, and the salad was very plan and dull with watered down ranch dressing. This was definitely over priced food. This is not a place to go for a pizza dinner. Ive had better food at a party store. They also ran out of silverware, so it was replaced with plasticware. Despite all the bad, the service was decent.

I have never been to Pizza Papalis until this year. How did I miss this wonderful place? It is literally the best pizza I have ever had in my life I went to Chicago a couple months ago and could not find pizza as good as this. If you have never been or are thinking about coming for the first time I absolutely most highly recommend this place the Chicago style pizza is amazing. The staff was nice the restaurant was clean and I had an overall excellent time I cannot tell you how much I love the pizza there it is exquisite.

PizzaPapalis is a fantastic spot for amazing "Chicago style" deep dish pizza downriver. Its the sort of pizza you actually wont feel weird about eating with a knife and fork and when you hit that crust, youll quickly get over the $30+ you just spent on a single pie. At this point, the only real downsides are the price and the time it takes to actually make (around 40 minutes). While both are absolutely justifiable, the shock of this is still off-putting enough that we tend to hesitate going there more often.

The thin crust was pretty good.. but we waited and waited for our deep dish. When it did come out the dough was clearly under cooked. However when speaking to the manager we were given a bunch of excuses about it just being the juices. Trust me I dont like to complain about my food so when it happens I try to be very understanding. The managers response was horrible. Make it right..dont make your customer feel like they are the problem.

Just opened on the third (12/3/2015) as a relocation from downtown Dearborn. Been going here for years, the pizza is delicious and deep dish is super thick. The sauce is rich and flavorful, the crust is flaky without being greasy and the toppings are not skimped on. The service was about average but I do prefer the larger more dedicated floor space of the new building.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Was looking forward to trying deep dish pizza, really disappointed, crust taste cheap was not worth the price at all (nearly 30$ for a small with 3 toppings). Also got meatballs they also tasted like cheap frozen meatballs, super dry. I wont eat here again. I should have listened to other reviewers. Hands down the worst deep dish I have ever eaten.

Ordered carry out for lunch. Medium thin crust extra meat pizza, for $29.95. For the price I must say I was shocked to see they use pre-made crust. Just shocked. The toppings would have been excellant if they were on a real fresh or frozen dough crust. Not worth the money. Sorry I was really hoping for better from a Pizza Papalis. Oh well.

That first slice by all mine a large Deep Dish Bacon Cheeseburger rules, even found a 5 bucks off coupon. Be a very long time, maybe 25 years since our last visit, they now have 7 locations. Gotta get back on Monday got 2 buck pints every week and on Wed 60 cent Chicken Wings,, just love this local pizza chain.

Very bad service the waitress sucked pizza was cold was 3 of us only gave 2 straws had to ask for silverware waitress was reaching over us to get dishes while we were eating first time at this one love the one downtown Detroit so tried downriver one and it was terrible

I love having a PizzaPapalis so close to my work. If your on a time crunch but want to eat in, you can call and order ahead and your pizza will be ready when you arrive. The wait staff is very courteous. Ive never had a bad meal here! Would recommend!
