I went to this restaurant in the in the early 90s when it was called Starlite. The food was great and the service was good. But after it was sold for the second or third time the quality of the food went down. They still had some good food but not like before. Recently, my wife and I went to eat there. I had the chicken Parmesan which was alright and my wife had the steak fajita. The steak tasted like they cooked it without any seasoning on it and felt like eating a piece of leather. My wife returned it and they asked her if she wanted to order something else but she declined because we had to pick up the kids from the babysitter. I could not believe that when I went to pay the bill they did not want to remove the charges for the food we returned. At that point I told the girl at the register that I would not pay for something that we did not eat. I asked her to remove it from the bill and she replied that she would give me $2 off the bill. I told her NO and to remove the whole thing. Her response was "but it is steak and it is expensive" with her foreign accent. I told her NO it was horrible and I would not pay for it. She then told me she would charge me for a salad that came with it and my wife ate. I said thats fine I will pay for the salad. At that point she tried to charge me for a large salad and thats when my wife chimed in and reminded her that it was a side salad and it was half the price of what she was charging. So she tried to pull a fast one on us. I paid for my bill and told them that I would not be coming back here anymore. This is my story. What ever happened to the customer is always right? What ever happened to good customer service? Well in aint here! You would think that in this economy they would have better service to keep customers coming back. I guess they are doing very well here and do not care about one customer!

My family and I have been to this restaurant quite a few times in the last several years. Ive never been completely swept away, but I never felt dissuaded enough to never come back so we continued to give it a try. Our last visit however, will definitely be our last. We came in with coupons received from a local savers catalog and expected no issues using them. Well, after an already sub-par meal with a mediocre server, I attempted to pay using said coupons with a "Kids Eat Free" offer, having bought meals from the kids menu for both my children. After she glared and blinked at me a few times, I was told by the cashier very matter-of-factly that, "Only certain kids meals qualify, and yours did not. YOU should have asked your waitress which ones apply." Never mind that her response was completely uncalled for, nowhere on the coupon or menu OR anywhere in the restaurant stated this so-called restriction. Really? I should have to ask? There was absolutely no reason to believe one kids meal was superior to another! So instead I use the 20% off coupon, and even though my bill was over $35, the lady didnt even take the full "up to $5 off," taking off only $4.30. I went back to my table and left the remaining coupons and punch card, hopefully they got the message that we will not be returning.

Let me first start by saying Im a foodie. I will travel most anywere to eat the food that I crave. Since I went to The Royal Cafe for the first time, i was so impressed by the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere. I have been there many times (almost every day). I try and order something different every time I go. I havent ever had, Just an O.K. meal there!. The food has alway been top notch,and made fresh! The owner and his staff are alway friendly and attentive. Im so happy to have found this little gem, right here in beloved city I call home. Keep up the great work! I never have to worry about were to go for a better than good meal anymore.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a JOKE. The servers are some of the worst Ive ever experienced. Rude and disrespectful all around which is a shame because the food wasnt half bad but because of the attitude issues, even if the food came with gold bars, you couldnt ever get me to go back. Got kicked out of our seats because there was a party of 6 coming in and we had been sitting there for 20 minutes waiting for the bill. Got talked about because we sat at a table because car seats dont fit in the booths and putting a baby in a disgusting dirty highchair wasnt on the top of this customers list. What a waste of time and money.

Ive been in the resturant business for many years of my life and I am greatly impressed with this place, Service is amazing, every worker is great, and a great place to take my family to on the weekends. Waitresses are nice, they can keep an awesome conversation, the cook is great the food is absolutely amazing, and whoever cleans the tables on the weekends does a phenomenal job the tables are spotless, also, the kid who comes with water is an absolute life saver on a hot day. Overall a great staff and great job on whoever owns the place, I look foreward to coming every weekend after a hard day of work!

I took my girlfriend here for dinner, and I have to say they were absolutely AMAZING! Excellent service, very reasonable prices, very respectful quantity and quality food, and very polite and kind. The inside was not very loud either, and it was a very enjoyable and well spent meal. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a well priced and enjoyable meal, family or other.

Upset that all I could give is 5 stars. Went there last night and had the all you can eat fish and chips, and let me just tell you it was phenomenal!! There was a little wait at the door for a table to open up but the moment I was seated I was immediately taken care of. Food came out fresh and hot, Desert was delicious and service was Outstanding! Will be back for sure.

From the moment I walked, I could feel the tension. The older waitress kept her eye on me so much she messed up on another carry out order. Speaking non english, the and waitress that took my order immediately gave me check but stated "no rush". Oh no, here is my card. Take it now, I dont know what the problem is. I wont be back. The food sucked after all that...

This restaurant is the greatest one in the area .. the delicious dinners that I tried here with my family were amazing. The service was the highest .. our drinks were never empty ..we got welcomed when we got in by this guy with a really cute smile on his face .. we were satisfied by the great atmosphere it was there. Under new owners.. Great food owners involved attentive to making changes for the better....wait staff is very fun friendly. Of course food is excellent so much. Soup,salad or slaw plus desert with dinners. Great prices for homemade meals. Had to give it a try on Friday All u can eat... Omg so telling all. Great place now with NEW owners.
