The food was alright, however, the service was horrible. From the moment we entered the staff was very rude. One of the guests wanted to use the washroom and instead of answering politely the man instead said you cannot use the bathroom unless you buy food. We obviously came to have a nice dinner with the family. We were then seated but there was nothing set up on the table. Even then we did not say anything. As soon as the waitress came we expected a warm welcome or even a smile. She walked up and with a monotone asked what we wanted. We ordered lassis which did not come till we asked, exactly 30 mins later. After the appetizers and even then just 1 out of the 3 came. We asked the waitress after waiting how long the food will be, not rudely. She responded with an attitude and even then we asked for the bill of how much we had gotten, she did not given it to us. We did not want to stay anymore for the rest of the dinner Instead, she argued and forced us to stay. We asked for the owner and she coldly responded she was the owner and after that went and GOT the owner. Besides all of that, NONE OF THEM apologized. This is not the type of customer service anyone should be treated with, especially when none of us came in rude

last night was the first time I dined at Memories of India ! So glad that we made the decision to dine in their!! We were a party of four. We all tried a different dish so we could experience a little of Indias flavors. As we passed around the dishes we couldnt decide which one was the best. All four dishes were so full of different heats and flavors are mouths felt like we were in India on a vacation !!!!! All four of us have had Indian food from all over and by far this food is the best we have ever have tasted!. If your in or around St Joseph take the time and try this reaturant out! Your going to be very happy that you did ! We had the Butter chicken lamb biryani chicken Biryani goat curry garlic naan it was so good cant wait to go their again and try four new dishes!

After moving here to Saint Joseph from Europe, the most regrettable issue was lack of a good Indian restaurant within driving distance. We would drive to Michigan City for a good Indian meal - but no more. Memories of Indias entrees taste much better than any other Indian food I have had since moving to Southwest Michigan. The servers are friendly, food is perfectly spiced and portions are generous. In fact, I am just ordering takeaway for lunch there right now and saw they didnt have any reviews, hence this review. Pull the trigger - go to Memories of India, you will not regret it!

Went there by happenstance as every other restaurant was packed. Turned out to be a good thing, this place is somewhat a secret sitting back from the road behind a big chain chicken restaurant. The food was very good and our server explained well how spicy the food would be. For those that like spicy foods their menu has several levels of spiciness to choose from and the food is prepared to taste. Nice atmosphere as well with Indian music being played in the background during dinner.

I would definitely recommend trying Memories of India. The food was authentic and very, very good. We were taken care of immediately after arriving for a late lunch and Ed was very informative about the dishes. We were brought Naan to start us off and we chose the buffet for more flavor options. We were more than satisfied for about $7.50 each! The total bill was $19.00 for lunch but well worth it considering we also shared a mango smoothie afterward. Yum!

Average place. Service is pathetic. It takes for ever to get the food you order. I am a south indian and Ive been to this place more than 4 times(for lack of any Indian restaurant in the 35 mile radius). I have tried almost most stuffs on their menu. Find their food to be pseudo Indian and the food does not lean towards any specific indian cusine. Give it a shot if you dont have any other option.

Iam writing this review while im in restaurant. 1) ordered tandoori chicken . It was chicken with no flavours. It was red in color for some reason. When i checked with the lady who served it, she just walked away... pathetic... Other dishes were just some sweet mixed flavour.. If you want some real indian flavour this is not the place.

We were greeted with a lovely smile and attentive service and the food was just as good. Fresh, well prepared, authentic and delicious. My wife from England agreed, saying it was as good as she could find anywhere at home where Indian food is available on every corner. Memories of India is my new go to restaurant in St. Joe

Went mid afternoon with a friend, Had the buffet. Food was pretty good, service was not. Their was only one other table eating, yet when I ordered an iced tea, it took 20 minutes to arrive. Waitress never checked in on us entire meal. We had to go up and ask for the check. The place was also very warm...

We have a vacation home in St Joe and cant wait to get there so we can enjoy ourselves...thus always includes at least one trip to Memories of India. Great food! As a Brit, we have a lot of experience in Indian food and this restaurant would rival some of the best in the UK! Highly recommended.

Great indian food. inexpensive. Fernandez (owner) is very professional and helped us to get the food with no spicy. Food is fresh and very tasty. People who take the orders, were helpful and helped me to select my food selection. Thanks all. Glad to find a good indian food place in St Joe.

This was one of the most horrible experiences. Food was really terrible, service was extremely bad. They need to take a customer service 101 course. For two people, they limited us to only three breads (very small). Would never recommend this place to anyone.
