I would like to share my worst experience at Hyderabad House. I thought it would be a great experience at this restaurant but received totally opposite. I am writing this review after having lunch buffet twice at this place and i received the same worst service i could never imagine even in my dream. Both time i went on Saturday for lunch. I went with one of my friend and we reached there by 2:10 PM and we were provided table withing 5 minutes. That was nice because we did not have to stand there for long time. Nightmare started afterward. We started getting our food. Four food items were not there. We thought they will fill up since it is only 2:20 PM and restaurant mentions they will offer buffet till 3 PM. Thats why we started having lunch then we asked one of servers if they can refill the food items. They said "I am sorry but they dont refill food after 2:30 PM. I would still not complaint if they would have told us before they provided the table. On the top of everything, whatever food were there on the buffet table was cold. There were many people who were enjoying that cold food but again it could be personal choice. I just wish this restaurant could have mentioned following at YELP or GOOGLE business or at their own website: 1) Food will be served cold after 2:30 PM (I think it was even before 2:30 PM but i would say 2:30 PM since i noticed this at that time) 2) No refill of any food item after 2:30 (I dont understand why they dont let everyone know at least before they offer you table) a) Naan (Indian bread) no refill b) Fish Masala- No refill c) Tandori Chicken - No Refill d) Chicken Biryani- No refill Food Quality: I would not say it was great. It was okay. Good part: They offer many food items however you wont be able to get it if you are going after 2:15 or 2:30 PM. Worst part: Only one bottle of water will be provided. FYI: They only provide one bottle of water. it was funny because my friend drinks lot of water while eating and he had to drink my bottle since they dont offer additional water until unless you pay. I have been to almost all Indian restaurant in Indianapolis and i found this worst in terms of service. There are other Indian restaurants in Indianapolis much better than this place. Now i can only regret why did i drive 25 miles to try this new restaurant. I could have believed them they were out of food since its 2:30 PM but it happened twice so i believe this is their rule not to refill after 2:30 PM and i assume they stop refiling around 2:15 PM. I am just taking time to write this review so that other food lovers cant do the same mistake i did. Last part of the experience: When went to pay then i told what happened and i was surprised to see the cashiers response. She was very adamant about what they offer. She didnt even apologize for worst service and deceiving people. I hope this restaurant will focus on the service quality because once a customer doesnt like your food or service they wont be back to the same place at least for some time.

The food here is good. It is not anything exceptional. The place is busy only because Indian food places around this area are only a handful. It is not a great place in terms of ambience either. The place is very small and the wait can be frustrating. The service is terrible. They take hours to take an order and they take wrong orders on top of that. The staff blames the customers for the wrong order and they can be quite rude. Everything, from taking order to giving the check, takes hours. The place isnt clean, the tables arent clean and this can go on. Take out option is even worse. Make sure you check you got what you ordered and you got the quantity you asked for. They tell you some nonsense about jumbo size, family size, and all other sizes and send you home with food barely enough for 5 people when what you ordered was 12 boxes of biryani. The food sucks when it is a take out. You just cannot eat it and this happens every single time. The place is also not punctual with timings. It opens and closes whenever it wants. There is no board or any sign telling you when it will be open or why it is closed when it is supposed to be open. The place only runs because of the Indians here, who long for Indian food.

At last a south Indian restaurant in the capital city of Indiana state So far there are no south Indian restaurants in Indianapolis and here is one with good food I am very much satisfied with the food which I have ordered (chicken and mutton biryanis) and here are my reviews based on other customer reviews - yes the food is spicy and that is how south Indians love their food (waiter even asks before serving food how the spice level should be) so north or other part of Indian region people may feel bit dislike on this. - serving is good and yes a good food always takes a good amount of time rather than serving you the microwaved food within seconds - the place is small and dont expect you will get your table whenever you walk in

I believe, first impression is the best impression. Unfortunately, it was not great for me. My husband and I are vegetarians, when we went to Hyderabad house when our friends told that we will have lots of vegetarian options on the buffet today (Oct -30). For the price of $13, it was not worth at all. I would have had better food at other Indian restaurants. They had just 1 vegetarian gravy, 1 dal, 1 biriyani, sambar, upma, vada and baby corn appetizer and couple of sweet items. Charging $13 + for the buffet that size and having least veggie options is not fair. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody and I shant go there any longer. I am being generous by giving them 2 stars.

The food was good! But I wouldnt rate them high because of the service. Google showed that they close at 3pm. We arrived there at 2.30pm driving from Champaign Illinois but as we walked in they said they were closed and they hadnt updated that online. But then the person said if we wanted we could get a take out of the buffet. We agreed to that. But then another person there said we could have a seat. While we were helping ourselves to the buffet a lady came out and told us that since we had been asked to do only take outs there wouldnt be any more refills. We were fine with that too. The food turned out to be a little cold but tasted great nonetheless. Good food. Bad service.

Must try Dishes - Malai Kofta & Veg Manchurian Appetizer. If you are looking for "LARI/ THELA" style taste of IndoChinese food than this is the place. One of the best Indian restaurant in Indianapolis. Awesome taste. Might be spicy for some folks. So, if you are not a big fan of spicy flavor, let them know when you order. Staff was great. Great service. Waiting area space is limited & waiting time can be challenging but its worth waiting. Usually busy during dinner time. They have lunch buffet as well. Ample of parking. As of today they still have old restaurants name as electric sign and they covered that one with simple banner. So dont confuse, its hyderabad house only.
