The drive-thru line was a bummer because it takes a while but the food as well worth it. I would like it if they could fix the potholes in the parking lot so I could come there more often. I drive a little car and Im unable to go through the drive-thru there because of it. I know it sounds Petty but I would literally probably eat there two or three times more per week if I did not have to drive my larger car in order to go there. I do really love the food theyre unique tacos and fried ice cream like you used to find it she shes back in the nineties really make this place awesome with everything else on the green menu. The service is almost always very friendly and professional as well.

El charro is the beat! Shhh! Dont tell too many people. I love my SCS location. I will drive by two other locations to get to my beloved SCS El charro . The staff is wonderful always happy. The food is spot on. I love everything about this place the atmosphere, the way you order , the comfortable ease. Love it. So nice to say hey Im hungy lets get El charro I matter of minutes. I am eating the most delicious Mexican food. no need to spend hours waiting and driving downtown. El charro is something wonderful right here. Thanks for staying in the shores

Went on a Saturday around 5pm and there was no crowd. The food came really fast, and for an entire combo platter, it was very reasonably priced. Neither the refried beans nor the rice had much flavor, but my mom said she likes their rice (she cannot handle any amount of spice). If you have a very sensitive tongue, you might enjoy it. I got a beef burrito and a chicken enchilada. Both were ok. I have no complaints about either, but I also cant rave about them. They were just fine. Id recommend this place if you want Mexican food but are short on time.

El Charro is a regular stop for me and the family, and Ive been visiting here on and off since the 1980s. Its your basic Tex-Mex fare, so youll find your usual tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. here. A signature item is the puffy soft shell taco. This is a sit-down restaurant, but not like their Fraser location--here, you order at the counter and the food is brought out to you when ready. Perfect neighborhood spot for a quick dinner.

Ive been eating El Charro since before I was born. Its been 30 years and counting so I consider myself an expert on El Charro food. I always used to eat at the 14 and garfield location, but I moved out this way. Dont listen to the negative comments, this El Charro is solid gold. So what if its probably not that healthy and it costs more than taco bell. Its still damn good.

Absolutely horrible experience. I ordered the shredded beef chimi, and the beef was spoiled. Remake of the plate yielded the same. Thats when my daughter noticed a large black hair in her dish. GROSS! needless to say...we will NEVER eat here again. I received a refund for my plate, but didnt even receive an apology from the "manager". I threw away $35...

Horrible tonight! Large botana came out, before our other item ordered. It was cold, sent it back. Other item arrived, then botana came back. Wasnt remade, just warmed and not all the way thru. Waitstaff overheard arguing about order with kitchen. Said she was on the phone. We paid 29.00 for a horrible experience. We will not do that ever again!!!

This is a sorry excuse for Mexican food. Way over priced. $6 for a cheese quesadilla is ridiculous and $4 for one taco.. Plus the place is filthy and employees are rude.. And if anyone truly thinks this is authentic Mexican they need to have their head examined! And I love how they only respond to five star reviews. Its not even Tex-mex

Best Mexican Food Ever. Try the puffy tacos, they are made with old school corn meal like it was just ground and then fried, simply amazing, whenever I am near an El Charro I go. This location has a drive thru as well as a dining area, where the other locations are more sit down meal locations, but its still the Best Mexican Food Ever.

One word for you: puffy tacos. No, make that puffy FISH tacos. Ermagahd! So tasty. Everything else is great but dem fish tacos, yo. As in yo love los tacos de pescado! I saw they have a food truck now so I am on the lookout for that. No alcohol at this location but the food is the same as the others. Great fresh fried chips too.

I was initially cautious at the notion of a drive thru thinking this was a fast food joint (another Taco Bell, anyone?)... But Im glad I was proved wrong! It was good food (with good price) that is restaurant quality! The chicken here is par, but the beef is superb! Highly recommended.

Solid mexican fare but at a unjustifiable price. I make visits on the regular but not often as id usually rather take a drive to mexican town and grab food truck tacos which are better and cheaper. If they would just shave off a buck or two from there items i might go more often

I havent eaten at this El Charro in years but the food was great! The restaurant is a little different in that you place your order at the counter, you fill your own drinks and your food is brought out to you. If its a nice day, I recommend sitting outside on the patio.

The food is good. My complaint is they want to charge fine-dining prices for an elevated fast food experience. Its seat yourself cafeteria style, which Im fine with, but then charge accordingly. They charge like theyre the 14 Mile Rd. location. Theyre not.

Terrible employees, they dont give you a chance to order over the phone. And then when the order is wrong they act like idiots because they have to fix it. This is not only a one time incident, almost every time I order. Guess I need to stop going there.

The food tasted like crap. the fajitas arent hot theyre not worth the money you pay for them . I would not recommend this place to no one The portions are so small that its a total rip off This place needs to close .Dont waste your money on this place

I spent $8 for 1 fish taco and some beans and the fish was probably less than 2 ounces, what a rip off. My suggestion go to Outback Steakhouse you get two fish tacos and a large sweet potato and its at least 6 to 8 ounces of fish

I only order the original soft tacos and they are amazing. The guacamole is good too, sometimes I wish they would get new salsa but thats because I compare every salsa to my favorite salsa at chilis. Yum. ;)

I dont often do Google reviews but seeing the one that said the beef was spoiled makes me want to. We have been going to El Charro for years and not one time has the food been less than excellent.

Awesome food, FAST service with a smile. Excellent drive thru service. Dining room quick serve style with no waiting, unusually fast. Best taco around and you cant beat the fajitas!
